One of my favorites - RV Calypso. Not withstanding what I said before, don't forget we have a lot of wind on Anglesey too - is it wind or is it living? My wife is definitely on your side - deaf as a post!
For the IR, I was using either a PARD NV007 add-on with a Hawke Airmax Scope or an ATN X-Sight 4K Pro with an ODEPRO 850nm IR Illuminator. I use a HIK Micro Lynx Pro 19mm Thermal Spotter for searching out the rats.
Holdover OVER estimated too many times for my liking and no humane follow-up shots. You've been around long enough to know better ? However, there's nothing wrong with your accuracy - just your distance judgement and that can easily be resolved with a LRF or some pre-shooting reference points..... just saying.
Not sure I understand where you are coming from with the holdover or distance judgement. When ratting around farmyards and in the confined space of farm buildings, in the dark, you can't always choose your distance which means you can find yourself further or closer than you would ideally like to be. With or without holdover, there are 47 dead rats in this video and some delighted farmers. 46 of those were destroyed instantly in my book, mostly with head shots, and any movement after the shot is a common and normal nervous reaction. There was 1 rat which would have had a follow-up shot had it stayed still for long enough but that was already dead by the time I got to it anyway.
I'm afraid I don't understand your point on the holdover. When ratting around farmyards and in the confined space of farm buildings, in the dark, you can't always choose your distance which means you can find yourself further or closer than you would ideally like to be, hence the holdover.
I like rats because they make such great targets.
Nice video. See if you can take out some breathing sounds. I know you gotta breath, just not in the mic. 😅
Mic is quite sensitive on the ATN. I'm a bit deaf from too much shooting so I can't really hear it. Thanks for the feedback 📢📢🎧
He sounds like Jack cousto, that's if your old enough to remember him, but he's good!
I agree the breathing noise is not what I want to hear either.

Thumbs down for the slow motion.
Sort your holdover out and you would get more subs.🙄
