(HD) 50+ Mins Watching Airplanes - Planespotting Minneapolis St. Paul International Airport
Вставка
- Опубліковано 5 жов 2024
- 50+ minutes of roaming around the terminal (especially Concourse F) at MSP and taking in the action.
Despite being dominated by Delta, KMSP/MSP does have it's share of variety. I try to get shots of the other airlines as well as the main one when I go planespotting so as to represent the airport, more than just an airline. Although yes, GO DELTA!!!
I realize that some of you like shorter videos and some of you out there like longer videos. I prefer both, each for different reasons, and try to do both. I took all of this footage 12/9/15 and it all flows together as one so I'm leaving it all together. If you want to watch it in parts and bookmark the time you left off,... that's the best suggestion I have for watching it in parts.
This is highlights of my wanderings around the airport looking for activity... most of it coming from F Concourse.
However you watch, I hope you enjoy the FULL experience!
Here's some of what you'll see.
US Airways American Airlines ERJ-190, Delta Air Lines Boeing 737-800, United Airlines Airbus A320 & A319, Endeavor Air Delta Connection CRJ-900, United Express ERJ-170, American Airlines Airbus A321, Delta Air Lines Airbus A330, Airbus A330-300, Delta Air Lines Boeing 737-900, Delta Connection SkyWest Airlines CRJ-200, Delta Air Lines McDonnell Douglas MD-88, MD-90, Boeing 717, United Airlines Boeing 737-800, Delta Airbus A320, Airbus A319,U.S. Air Force (Minnesota) C-130 Hercules, Delta Air Lines Boeing 757-200(W), American Airlines Boeing 737-800, US Airways (American Airlines Airbus A321, Sun Country Boeing 737-800, Delta Air Lines Boeing 757-200, Frontier Airlines Airbus A320, Southwest Airlines Boeing 737-700, Sun Country Airlines Boeing 737-700, Alaska Boeing 737-900 Scimitars, Spirit Airbus A320, Delta Air Lines Boeing 767-300, etc.

Now this was the good old days of Aviation. Sweet catches of Delta’s MD88s, MD90s, B717-200s, Endeavor Air & Skywest CRJ200s & CRJ900s. I miss these days in the past and wish I can relive them because I miss seeing & dying on the Mad Dogs. They’re the joys of my childhood and I’ll forever miss them. Nothing beats a classic flashback to bring tears to my eyes. 😭🥺
Wow that departures list at the start was very impressive!
+Dantorp Aviation THNX 4 watching, Dantorp! Always very excited to hear your input. Very happy I could pull that touch off there... took a few takes to get it right.
You should fly to MSP one day
When I was little I would just sit in that Observation deck and watch all the Northwest DC-9's/727's/757's/DC-10 etc.. for hours. I truly miss those days. But I'm glad to see people filming and enjoying themselves at MSP. Great video and looking forward to more.
+Jonah R (Jonahair747) thanks, Jonah! Miss those NWA Dc-9s as well... they served O'Hare as I'm sure you remember... good memories of the DC-10 for sure. Was lucky enough to fly a few American ones... always wished I could've flown a United one too.
wohooooow! 50 minutes of Plane spotting from the king of aviation video's!! *Grabs popcorn* :p
That's really an amazing piece of art, soo much cool stuff there! Love the DAL A330 landing at 16:30. Massive like for your great work, buddy!!
+mylosairplanefan thaaaaaanks, Mister Myloooooooos!
thanks again, THNX always for watchin' my vids!
Probable the best plane spotting channel on youtube for an aviation enthusiast like me
+ZakOLantern 8 *probably
Jay, you've out done yourself! 55 minutes of pure excellence! Love the AA 737 in the old livery and night time 757 pushback :D
+AirbusObserverA380 That nice pushback was certainly a nice addition... the 757 had a little too much reflection but I figured I'd upload both.
Night time footage is cool because I like all the lights. When we landed back in Chicago from San Diego last August I filmed all the way up to the gate and both the plane lights and run way lights was so cool!!
+Sheri-myvideos The airport at night is one of the most magical sights IMHO.... beautiful symphony of colors keeping airplanes safe. can be difficult to film but whenever I can I try to. Thaaaaaaaks for watching, Sheri!
Our night time landing this year was so neat too...I could see the skyline off in the distance and then we did this big circle towards the airport. When I started filming the landing I knew we were going to land in exactly 7 minutes because I was on the Wifi thing which was very fascinating!!
Best spotting video on UA-cam I have ever seen, great footage! Not enough people take extended shots from the terminal like this, thank you so much for putting it together. Noticed they left a panel open during the pushback at 20:55. Love Delta and love MSP, great combo!
+fulthrottleavi8r Thanks for watching! Glad to hear... I plan to do many more like this. yep! I saw that service door left open too... wont cause any damage as far as I know but I have to say that it can be annoying to hear it flapping in the wind.
Hi Jay.Delta really rules over there.Fantastic traffic shots.Have a nice weekend
+Yannis Moutafis THNX for watching, Yannis! Always very happy to see your comment.
Massive like for this video. 50 minutes of non-stop aviation. Ouftt. Keep up the great work and I'll always be watching them here in Australia. G'day mate.
+kutless22974 THNX, mate! Glad to hear. Greetings from Minneapolis!
Nothing like a good ole fashioned long air spotting video. Great job again Jay!
+MajorIdontcare you got it, man! This is the best sort of life there is IMHO.
Awesome footage of the planes being catered, pushed back etc. Like the little variety that MSP does have!
+Bryguy10201 it's good enough for me! But yes, we could use another international or three up here.
Great compilation! Love the delta 757s and a330!
+GeminiJets ORD those were my favorites too... very happy with the variety we do have here.
Wow, amazing video man !! I loved it, thanks a lot for sharing this!! The number of Delta planes is really amazing !! Congrats man, you can be proud of your production :)
+CDG Spotter THANKS 4 watching, man! merci!
Always good to see the "gold standard" of plane spotting!! Really interesting ramp views, and that smoky engine start at 40:34 was awesome! Liked a lot:)
+99carnot lol! thnks for the compliment, man. always love it when I can put together a satisfying production. LOVE those engine starts.
Excellent compilation! Lots of great stuff, the close-up ramp shots were amazing! Huge like!!
+Horizon Productions SFL thnks for stoppin' by, man!
It seems to me that Delta has a second hub at MSP. Great video by the way. I love when you upload a longer video.
+Tiger5672 Thanks! Yes, actually DTW is bigger than MSP as far as I know but MSP is certainly a dominant widget town.
+Jay's O'HareAviation Plane Spotting HD I hope you upload more long videos!
Delta is one of the major airline carriers now around the world. There was an excellent Time magazine article a few weeks ago about the fight between Delta and Alaskan Airlines out in SeaTac international airport. Delta wants to eliminate Alaskan airlines completely from that airport as it would be a great base for their dominating flights over to Asia originating out of the entire Pacific Northwest; including any connections coming from USA cities. Yet Alaskan airlines has perhaps the best record in the U.S. flight industry amongst all other U.S. airlines regarding pricing, service, on-time record plus their fleet is much newer than most of Delta's aging aircraft.
My first experience flying Delta was back in 2006 when on a flight from San Francisco to Honolulu Intl they had the audacity to charge us for meals! Delta quickly dropped on my list of favorite airlines.
Anyway as usual Jay the parts of the vid that I saw were excellent as usual - although I do miss your feature jumbo jet vids coming out of O'Hare.
I flew delta once from lax to sea and a panel next to my foot fell off the wall to reveal wiring... yikes
+jeffman61 thanks for the note, Jeff! yes, I miss spotting at O'Hare too.... maybe I'll make a terminal spotting video from there sometime. Hopefully you'll be willing to try flying on Delta again sometime and they'll do a much better job then.
+jeffman61 Oh I am so glad somebody else has lost that lovin' feeling for Delta. I'm here in Atlanta, Delta's home, and I must say that Delta used to be my favorite airline up until about 1998,. Somehow, I don't think they'll win the battle with Alaska Airlines. They need to get rid of some of those Crjs, too. I really love that 717, though, and I wish Boeing built more of them. I miss Airtran, but Southwest is trying very hard to catch up. I think American carriers have become too stingey, and they're going to have to start taking some lessons from the Asian and Middle Eastern airlines. Of course, ever since the airlines were deregulated here in America, everything began to fall down when it came to service. Still, Delta is one of America's biggest airlines. They're going to have to make some improvements in customer service if they want to come out on top.
Great video! I have been enjoying these videos inside from the terminal! Liked!
+atlubeck COOL!! I really like filming this way a lot better even though you don't see as many takeoffs and landings.... I just LOVE terminal life.
I agree, thanks for sharing!
i love MSP my dad worked for Northwest back in the day and we were always flying form here great video by the way
Thanks for watching! I hope to do more from MSP soon...
Boeing 757's are awesome!!! Such an Iconic shape!!! Great video Jay!!!

My hero is back. Anything from you is great to me. What is the largest planes that come to MSP? Hope you are enjoying your job and all is well with you. Merry Christmas.
+dbn52 Merry Christmas to you, my friend! so happy to see your comments whenever you do. The largest regular scheduled is the Delta A330s currently but the Antonov big Russian cargo jets stop by from time to time up here.
Fantastic video mate, another great upload!! Certainly plenty of traffic but its definitely Delta city.. Massive like :D
+YMML SpottingTeam great to hear from my friend(s), down under! hello mates! Thanks for watching.
Jay's O'HareAviation Plane Spotting HD No worries!!
50minutes fantastic aviation !
Liked a lot
+FlightBaseGermany THNX 4 watching! Greetings from Minneapolis, Minnesota.
+Jay's O'HareAviation Plane Spotting HD Yaw :) Greets from germany
I recently flew DFW-MSP!1:32 I flew to the exact same gate at concourse E. Both airports were big and had lots of large aircrafts and were busy, but the variety was low, especially at DFW.
yep! I would recommend LAX, JFK, O'Hare or another busier international airport for better variety.
Its Delta Paradise, nice video bud :-)
+scotrail82 lol! THNX 4 watch!ng, man! GO DAL!
You should change the name from 50+ Minutes Watching Airplanes to 50+ Minutes of Heaven! LiKeD!
+Central PA Spotter lol!. This certainly was one of my favorite days I've ever lived.... LOVE life at the airport.
Chillin' in the terminal! Nice catches! Although I think there aren't enough Delta aircraft! Jk. :)
+Martin Reat Emergency Responses lol! :D GO DELTA!
You have long flight lists there :D awesome almost an hour footage!
+Fin Aviation really probably should've gone for it :D Mabe some other time and I'll make a hour long feature length thingy. THANX 4 watchin'
Cool stuff man, great to see it all wrapped up in 1 vid! I'll be in ORD on Thursday!
+StarAllianceMan839 WOOHOO! Hope you enjoy it.... sorry, I won't be there to film you since I'm up here now. :(
Yes I know, its a shame, hope it is good up there tho!
StarAllianceMan839 so far so good!
Great video as always man, the planes here are so great it almost makes up for ORD (Key word almost ;) Just kidding my friend, hope you have a great weekend!
+Josh McCorquodale lol! hey I know how you feel... wish I could do this at O'Hare. Maybe someday I will ;)
Go Delta! :-) Nice Job Jay! :-)
+Syed Hoque GO DELTA! (-: THANX, Syed!
Awesome video! It's still pretty cool, even without the extreme variation of O'Hare. Do you see Icelandair or even heavies much at all there?
+grahamboaviation wish I saw more heavies and I'm still chasing that Icelandair..... it comes in after dark right now so any shot wouldn't exactly be perfect. But I do hope to get several good shots of it sometime in future. THNX 4 watchin', man! Keep holding down the fort for me in CHI-Town!
Haha! Maybe sometime if you have to be in CHI-Town we could spot together! Check out my latest video, it is a Compiliation of 8 747s at O'Hare. I caught them all in ONE day!
grahamboaviation COOL! Will do.
Awesome as always Jay - BIIIG Like :D
+TheSolnabo THAAAAAAnks always, man!
You got a lot of good footage.
Just realized I flew out 12/11/2015. 1:00pm to TPA on Delta Air Lines.
Awesome Video As Always.
Ah, the Minneapolis and st Paul airport.
planes fly regularly over my house, given we are kinda near the parallel runways.
In fact, plane was one of my first words.
I hope to fly and travel a lot when I'm finished with high school in two months
+Amelia Clauss COOL! glad to hear you like the airport and thanks for watching my videos. Blue skies to you and best wishes for a fun future trip.
Thanks
Interessting, at 21:30 they forgot to close the Ground Power door after pushback :D
it's amazing what you see when you sit around the airport for a while.
I worked also as Ramp Agent, a couple of years ago. I have an eye for stuff like that :P Now I am flying Boeing 777 Freighters, also to ORD :P
Fantastic video!
+Pilot738 T H N X ! ! ! glad to hear from you again!
Cool video
+GeminiJets Texas16 THNKS, man!
Might as well rename the video to "Delta Spotting" :D jk haha, very nice video and happy Friday!
+Cayman Plane Spotter lol! it's Delta Wonderland up here, and no doubt, man. Wishing you a great weekend!
Amazing!
+Amtrak 6903 Train/ Plane Productions THNX 4 watching!
Will we see heavy aircraft Friday at MSP? That would be cool.
+FlyingEagle737 would love to make something like that happen sometime.... been so busy with my new job that I haven't had time to make a really good version yet. Due to the limited nature of heavy aircraft here, in order to make a good video it's going to take a little bit and some time to go hunt down stuff. Filming smaller aircraft here is easy though. They're everywhere.
Or do you walk faster than it taxied?
Great video!! :D
Thanks for watching!
Just what the doctor ordered :)
+Kyle Griffith woohoo! happy to hear you enjoyed.
Gee, wonder what the main airline at MSP is. Oh, wait...
+dude8472productions no clue here either.....
ThNX 4 watch!ng, man!
Same with Detroit. Delta, Delta, Delta, United, Delta, Delta, Delta.
@@redbrobsterWell, yeah, DTW and MSP are two of Delta's ten domestic hubs. 80% of the traffic at MSP is Delta.
WOOW AWESOME!!! >:D
+18L Productions THNX for the comment!
Norwegian Long Haul's 787-9s will enter service on the Gatwick-LAX route from May 10 2016. airlineroute.net/2015/12/13/dy-789update1/
+Syed Hoque AWESOMENESS!!
The Delta 737-900 at 3:15 and 6:10 is the same airplane. Something happened to it?
+Fishing Gamers nope! it's the same pushback actually as well. I just spliced the two parts in with other clips from other places. Kinda gives some variety. Even so, I was there at the airport for many hours that day and it would be possible to see the same aircraft twice in a day at some airports. Airplanes do out and back's to various hubs sometimes. THNX for watching!
EPIC!!
Thanks for watching!
Hello Jay! Awesome Video! loved the quality! This isy new account. my old account was +XxThunderStikerxX so please just remember that its me! thank you!
+AircraftAce 92 Of course, I remember you :) I subbed back to this channel for you.
+Jay's O'HareAviation Plane Spotting HD Thanks! Your an awesome friend and I owe you an awful lot. thank yoy again jay :-)
I took a 757 MSP-GEG recently
dose anyone know if theres a video like this when Northwest Airlines was still around?
Great video just don't have them fast forward.
On May 5 2016 KLM will start flights to Salt Lake City with their A330s as their new 787-9s arrive. I do see KLM Possibly resuming flights to Minneapolis. airlineroute.net/2015/12/15/kl-slc-may16/
Hainan Airlines is coming to LAX with twice weekly 787 flights from January 21 2016. airlineroute.net/2015/12/13/hu-csxlax-jan16/
+Syed Hoque VERY cool! love seeing all these new routes....
good work jay this is jeffrey jobe i have a new channel
+Kathleen Hill aha! thanks for the tip.
MSP - its as exciting as watching paint dry. Why not throw in equally exciting Fargo?
+Paul Schneider ?? so I take it correctly that you aren't an airplane fan?
But you didn't include where each and every single plane was either coming from or departing to :/
I film so many airplanes per video that I wouldn't really have room for all that info unless it was highly watered down.... also I'm very busy these days and doing all that research requires much time spent... time I really don't have like I used to for many videos prior :) If I was to have to document fully every airplane I ever filmed and every happening from here on out I'd probably just forget about UA-cam altogether. Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoy what I was able to share. You can always check tail numbers on FlightAware
Lol, I was only kidding. I no joke watched this video from start to finish last night. I actually prefer not knowing where the aircraft are going to or coming from because it keeps me interested, because I don't know what aircraft is coming next. Love your videos!!
Fsx767 no problem, man. I seriously wish I had more time for UA-cam but ever since I've decided to make aviation my career instead of a hobby I've had to put this all on the back burner for a while... maybe someday soon I'll be back at it in high form like I used to be, I wish that is the case....
Are you going to be a pilot? If so I've put my youtube on the back burner too for flight training so I know what you mean. You've got hours upon hours of video content, don't worry too much!
Fsx767 nope. I'm an airline dispatcher for Delta Connection nowadays.
51:15 Why the towing with a loaded aircraft?
+Luke Aveyard (PlaneCrazy1999/Asgore) because of where the 757 is in the alley if it revs the engines to move out of the alley without being pulled forward it will likely do damage to the building structure behind it. Take a look at the F gates in MSP and then think about which direction they will be pushing him back so he can go to the runway out of the alley between the E and F concourses. Then think about what will happen if the airplane adds power directly after pushback based on his location after pushback. The 757 has a great amount of thrust and you'll probably flip over a tractor or two that's parked near the terminal at the very least. Or you'll blow the windows in the terminal concourse behind it. Even if it's not that powerful to do damage, a 757 can take a while to get going after pushback and if it sits there while preparing to get going it will also delay other planes trying to get rolling as well.
+Jay's O'HareAviation Plane Spotting HD Oh cool, thanks for the explanation! Makes much sense now.
Yinchuan and Zhengzhou will be Emirates 2nd and 3rd New Destinations of 2016 of which flights will start on May 3 2016. Emirates will by then fly to 5 Cities in China. Currently Emirates fly to Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. www.emirates.com/english/about/media-centre/2850628/emirates-expands-network-in-mainland-china
At 20:50 guy never closed the panel
O.O! (I know).... it probably buzzed all the way to the destination.
thought i was the only one that seen that haha
ah primo
