Sad to see this for someone who loves and fears the great white shark. I've always looked forward to watching Air jaws and waiting in anticipation for a new episode each year. I truly hate to see this happening to people there that work with great white sharks.. It's terrible how governments continue to ruin things that people enjoy for greed..
I'm curious as Starboard and ports arrival seemed to chase them away. Great whites are gorgeous, and play an important role in the ecosystem. I have seen the decline in this bay over the years since I was kid I grew up here and its incredibly rare to spot a great white these days.
We believe the main contributing factor is the legal fishing of smaller sharks species (smoothhound and soupfin sharks). These smaller shark species make up the largest part of a great white’s diet. Please refer to www.sharkfreechips.com for more info
