- Hi! ThisIsTorch here! This is my first video since 2017!! But, is it my last video ever? What's next for this channel? Could this be the end of ThisIsTorch?? Well...not quite :). In this video I explain what's to come for ThisIsTorch in the future. Hint: changes are a comin' ...that's right, changes.
As my life and career have changed and evolved over the last several years, I felt it was time to start reflecting those things here on this channel. It's officially time to dust this UA-cam channel off and start giving to the people again. Now, I realize that some of the new content I will be posting here moving forward may cost me some of my current subscribers...and truthfully, I must be ok with that. And to all my subscribers who have been supportive thus far, Thank YOU! (At the time of typing this, I have 2.18K subscribers).
The reality is that now as an artist and musician I am in a different place...(cliche, I know) but my drive to create meaningful and hopefully valuable content and share it is still intact. I have new things I want to show you, things I want to talk about...it's not just about the drumming anymore...and so I hope you will come along for the ride.

I'm looking forward to anything you put out content-wise, but simply because you're a super unique (and fucking good) drummer, I hope you continue to post some drum-related videos. Not a shit ton or anything, but some here and there to placate us drum nerds, heh. Your Squarepusher and Aphex Twin covers drew me in and actually taught me what trap drumming even is.

Appreciate that brother! It’s true, It may be awhile longer until I get on an actual drum kit to film stuff…although I will be including some drum related content, but for sure this will be a mish mash of different stuff going forward. It’s the only way I feel I can firstly…represent what I’m up to in real time (which at the moment is not a whole lot of drumming, unfortunately) and secondly…consistently put content out. Definitely taking a different approach this time around but I felt it was time. I’m glad you’re still on board man!

I thought about what to do here on this channel a lot recently…it was just time to bring it back with something new and extra. @nicholemaguire1339 lol yea we’ll see how this goes :) Might be slow for awhile…I realize the main audience here is probably either drummers or fans of the artists I’ve done covers for…but I have other stuff to share these days and it would feel a little ‘extra’ to do a whole other channel…even if that is technically what I should do.
