its fine. you do not need DLC to beat the game. i used Tenshi-cirno-Reisen for most of my boss fights. the game becomes very predictable and easy once you practice enough. all in all it took me about 50 hours to beat this game in hard and lunatic modes.

i believe kogasa can use her umbrella as a shield. so yes that would be better suited for this boss fight. However, take into consideration that this video was done before the release of those DLC characters.
@@maxustry7741 I found Yuyuko to be helpful in beating Kokoro. Her special where you leave a soul flame that shoots multiple danmaku once hit to be very powerful, beating Kokoro (and most of the bosses for me) before I got to the houting Giant Spider Mask spellcard (I never was good enough to survive that, so ...)
@@timeforgottenprince8271 yea Yuyuko ultimate attack is pretty broken in this game. But it is more fun when you try your best and struggle through the patterns. I should get back to playing this game at some point soon these upcoming months.
@@maxustry7741 True, but some of us don't have the patience, or the skill, to pull that off. I was proud I managed to beat White Reimu on Lunatic, not interested in dying 80 more times to beat Black Reimu (plus I prefer the White Reimu ending far more).
