This was absolutely my favorite part of this game. THIS is what Assassins Creed is supposed to be about!
The conspiracy! The story! The way history and fiction can be blended together masterfully! It is so compelling.
I agree. I found the connection of the isu from Valhalla as nice touch to the lore of those who came before us… but THE TRUTH with Adam and Eve was a chefs kiss in assassin’s creed 2.
Also Adam (Desmond) found his Eve in (Layla)… so it’s poetic in a sense. I was heartbroken when I realized Lucy was working with the enemy.
For some reason these puzzles scare me more than any horror game i have played
I agree. It's as if we were revealed the truth about various historical facts about the whole mankind's history that no one knew about, except the Assassins and the Templars in their secret war, even though it's just a fictional world.
The most common phrase I thought whenever I'd solve a puzzle was "OH, SO THAT'S WHY..."
So that's why they burned Joan of Arc to death.
So that's why Nikola Tesla failed in his mission of democratizing electricity
So that's why Gandhi was successful with his protests.
I know all of this comes from a fictional world and that none of those "explanations" are real, but I still love how the game has used the holes in those historical facts to tell the story about the war between Assassins and Templars throughout the centuries.
@gabrielchavez6066 exactly also the lack of music and emptiness, and I really felt like I was doing something I wasn't supposed to
@@gabrielchavez6066yup that's exactly what they want you to think. When in reality templars do exist and they want a one world order. God is real and templars are Satanists pushing us further away from the truth
@gabrielchavez6066 you would think that non of those explanations were real...
My god, this series used to have a storyline line that was not only great but thought provoking. Sadly, it was remove due to people complaining about the modern day stuff which doesn't make since as it was part of the series since the first game.
I won't ever forgive those who complained about the Modern Day Storyline. That was the heart of the franchise, the connecting tissue, the reason for which we're even going into the Animus. After Black Flag, every AC game exists only for the sake of milking a once compelling franchise.
I hate each and everyone of the people who said the modern day storyline was boring and made Ubisoft listen to them. They killed Assassin's Creed.
@@hecdavid11 I totally agree those people were just playing just to be playing. They completely forgot the whole reason you were doing it. A underlying story on why Abstergo and the Assassins of today we're going back in time to relive their ancestors lives. If they removed that what's the point just reliving as somebody from the 1500s for what? I think Desmond needed more character we barely got to explore his full background you need a MC to connect for players to enjoy.
@@phantomgamer9264 Desmond in AC3 was really close to being a fully realized character after the exposition he got in Revelations, but AC3's ending threw everything to the bin in that regard. Layla Hassan was becoming a new interesting MC and then they screwed it up again. Well, at least it seems we're going somewhere after Valhalla, even though I'm not sure where
@@hecdavid11 if his story got fully realized we could have seen the Ultimate Master Assassin
@@phantomgamer9264 it sucks when you think about it because that's what they were going for with all of Ezio's trilogy, the bleeding effect kicking in, Desmond showing an acceptance rate like never before, having high concentrations of ISU DNA... Dude was the main character the series needed!!
Glyphs were the main reason why I loved AC
I remember when I first watched The Truth. What a brilliant idea for the story
Its great seeing videos about this era of AC games, where it had actual good lore that foreshadowed incoming events and rewarded our curiosity by figuring out things early if you were attentive enough. I remember seeing all the glyphs symbols in the end of AC1 it was amazing and they followed up on that perfectly on AC2, the modern day story carried this game and invigorated it with a new meaning, not like I was playing a history simulation as much as I would have liked too, giving the story such a unique direction towards the 2012 was really very well made, it began to fall after AC brotherhood imho, tbh Desmond saga was truly above and beyond. Here’s hoping they do a modern day story similar to Desmond while integrating it well to the historical settings.
I just finished finding the glyphs and watching The Truth video and man. I really wish Ubsisoft would do some kind of throwback and make a game or DLC of some sort on Subject 16's story, like seeing from his pov of what the animus was doing to him, going into the animus itself and choosing to play as adam or eve and playing they're story up to the point of where the video ends or something, it'd be real nice.
So sad to see AC become what it is now, this lore and story was so cool to me when I first played the game, I remember people talking about how everything was leading up to a Desmond modern day game. Sadly now we have norse gods and not a single assassin protagonist for who knows how long
@@masonhunt4941 Can you summarize whats happened with the latest games, the story they're leaning to?
@@stevendoan1560 they’re all different stories origins and odyssey are probably the better games but if you want a stealth game play mirage Valhalla is fun for a bit but it gets repetitive and the story sucks for that one
@@masonhunt4941 Thanks, I was wondering whats happened storyline wise, I barely know who Layla is for eg. is she the new Desmond main character? I've stopped playing after Syndicate and don't know whats going on
@@stevendoan1560 be honest with ya I didn’t really care for the storyline for Layla she’s barely mentioned in the new games besides the dlcs in odyssey
Many of the explanations about past events I wass thinking they were just made up for the game but when you search up these things it seems that many things really did happen that way
As far as I remember, templars didn't want to retrieve that apple of eden in the moon, but to store it safely there
Wow thanks for this video man. I’m a die hard fan of this series & u gave answers to stuff I’ve never fully understood for well over a decade. Great video man! Please keep up the good work
Ay! Thanks for the time and effort in this video. Love hearing about the older AC games' Modern Day
Great explanation! Do you have any idea why Pierre Bellec from AC Unity was so personally invested in finding these glyphs? They made a big deal of it in the beginning of the game but afterwards completely dropped the ball on the subject.
It was dropped ironically right after he was fired. This has always stuck with me
Today been doing achievements for collecting all the stuff, and watching this video was a nice reminder of the lore part.
Great video, dude. I'm playing AC 1 and the Ezio trilogy (currently on Brotherhood atm) and your videos explain so much to my dum-dum brain. 😅
I remember watching this the first time and just being totally stunned.
I love these videos so much, I hope you plan to make more
As always, brilliant!
I want to know more about the TRUTH hidden inside all the glyphs.
I want to know what is actually going on in the real world.
Perfect explanation good job
Great video
Great vid
First video I'm watching, this content pleases me, subbed and thumbs.
Thank you for your videos. I like the AC games and lore.
Did you ever get to play Prey? I'm currently playing it and it's really good.
I've also got chernobylite and Tiny Tina's wonderland lined up next.
Youre best the story teller man.
Can you do a video decoding all of altairs codex pages??
This was another unexpected surprise!! Give it time and they’ll blow up like some of the others. I for one love it
Deserve more like and sub I guess that why they call you patient wolf 🐺
The whole ISU lore kinda reminds me of the anunaki
why did you remove your AC2 critique video, is it private now, I would really like to watch it if you will, your work is great
Am i dumb or does the critque video mentioned at 0:32 not exist? I found an unlisted critique of ac1 in the video description, and in there i found links to some dead playlists but no joy on ac2 critque.
Hey Jim! I shall add the AC2 Critique link to the AC2 livestream coming next week!
I never new how deep this went and I've played ac since it came out in 2007 and I never new how deep it was related to real life even though it doesn't seem real but i guess it is
Wow the lore is deep but is subject 16 still out there maby in the anymous ?
Assassin's Creed: Revelations (4th game) delves deep into answering your question. I'm not gonna spoil it for you, in case you get to play it (or watch a walkthrough)
You should play AC: Revelations! It's all about Subject 16 in a way, and it gives some closure about the whole thing
WOW this video is incredible. Perfect story telling and editing. I played AC2 many times and solved every glyph, but I always had a piece missing, the piece that linked everything together by explaining those glyphs. I guess these 9 minutes were that piece. Thanks from Italy
16 knows he’s dead ?
Is it just me or i feel like Assassin's creed is real
Ubisoft extracting memories from dudes and giving as game 🤣
Ubisoft = abstergo
They make entertainment and secretly rule the world
IT IS A JOKE
Have you played or watched Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag? 👀
Because that's exactly what happens there
@@hecdavid11 i have played everything upto origins because f Odyssey and Valhalla
The mystery and the story is what make the game great in the first place now the series is comparable to a pile of shit
hitler assassin!?
A perfect story for an epic movie . Sad that today's games produce better scripts thay woke Hollywood
Great video
Huge respect for the cameraman to record adam and eve while parkour
