Garrett not sure if you know but you can add some oxide to the mix to make different colour sets. Masonry supply stores should have a range of different coloured oxides and it will only take a small amount. Add oxide to the water first then add the cement and mix 👍🏼
@@GarrettGinner also cut a bit of fine chicken wire mesh to fit etc cut 10mm smaller then the mould so it sits away from the edges of the mould and won’t be seen, pour half the mould then chuck the mesh in then pour the rest. The ones you done will most likely break easily without structural support especially if not placed down gently on the bench 👍🏼
If you wanna get rid of air bubbles, get yourself a vac chamber big enough to fit your mix inside of. Will need a decent generator to run it but if your quick enough before the cement sets, you’ll have ZERO air bubbles. Can also use other materials instead of cement! I do a lot of over moulds for a living, you shouldn’t need mould release using hope it helps!
Nice obstacles! If you need someone to test one I volunteer as tribute. With Crete best rule is Less water=stronger. too much water can make weak Crete. Ideally mixed more like oatmeal than soup! Keep up the great vids✌️
Been following since your video part forever ago, really enjoying the content lately. Ive been drifting for the last 5 years and bought a house last year so seeing relatable content from you for the last 8? years has been incredible. thanks and keep it up man!!!
If you use the quick set like your doing and you have extra. Wait for it to get a little dry and moldable. Then put it on parchment paper and you have shape a small parking curb. Smooth it out then sand it down.
Hey Garrett I work in construction specifically with concrete you should get color hardener it comes in a bucket in powder form you add it with the wet concrete and mix it in it will change the color and you can experiment
Hey garrett, it’s mad how far your content has come since the old days, as someone who’s messed about with concrete moulds and this sorta stuff it’s definitely worth trying some marbling effects. Lightly dabbing a sponge with a darker/lighter tone of paint than the casting material (e.g concrete) and then using a thin brush to paint little crack style lines down the marble is a simple way to achieve a really cool look. Also its really easy and worth a go to mix up some resin with different paints and lightly stir leaving a wavy pattern before pouring, if your lucky you can get some mental looking marble with all sorts of colours. Could be the next step for you little business haha. Love the content man keep it up!!!
I’m definitely gonna be buying some obstacles off you bro lol I’m still rocking binhs board he gave me. Now I need some GGFB gear to go along with it 👌🏼👌🏼
Garret if you ever want to remodel your kitchen and save quite a bit id be willing to help with that. No charge on labor just need a place to crash out.
if you have one of those hand held massage guns, those work really well for knocking out all the air pockets in molds for concrete pours. also the trowel need to be wet when floating the surface for finishing.
Is Garrett gonna finally oil up?! Hyped on the current content and how genuinely happy you seem. The new spot is so sick! Excited for the future, whether you continue to upload or not!
Those Vlad Stakes on top of the bank make me nervous. I've seen people fall on vertical rebar. Be careful. Rubber and plastic breaks away from concrete easily. You can tap on those molds or oick them up an inch and drop them to "Vibrate" it too. That is like 6000 pps quickset cement too.
Hi Garrett! I’m Jordyn it’s nice to meet you!❤ 😅 I’m not really interested in skateboarding. I’m more of a BMX person. I watch your videos bc your funny
Never mind I found the page. Unfortunately everything is sold out but they’re all awesome. I’ll check back in a month. Gotta be hard to make that stuff right after moving into a new home.
Fenix 7X Solar Sapphire. Only had it for about a week and it’s my first fitness watch so I don’t have much to compare it to. It’s a whole lot better than the iPhone fitness app which is what I was using, so so far I’m definitely enjoying it
I like his new house. Looks like a very beautiful place to live. I am guessing it is up in Nor Cal somewhere. I also think about getting out of LA sometimes. Los Angeles is crazy LOL

Yoooo that’d be super sick!!
I legit wanted to say the same thing minus the details, some dye would be dope!!!!!!!!!!

Garret gets into ding Mini Stamped Concrete soon.

Man those look amazing bro! Can’t wait to get some pieces once you start selling them!
Also just some possible useful information they make liquid release for cement/concrete if your molds ever start sticking when they dry
Need to cop a ledge asap. that curved one looks dope
It’s one of my favs for sure
Yea mans loves his curved ledges

Yo that’s genius
@GarrettGinner I did it when I did some blocks. Its one of my favorite obstacles just a little slappy.

worth noting that clear coat is needed if painting marble effects as it will obviously come off when skating!
This sounds super sick dude thank you for the advice!!
I really hope your dog is okay brotha
Love the different content its making mr come back to every new vid lately and its a great change of pase keep it up
Let's go Mini Trowel!

I’m definitely gonna be buying some obstacles off you bro lol I’m still rocking binhs board he gave me. Now I need some GGFB gear to go along with it 👌🏼👌🏼

I've been out of work for a week with hyperthyroidism. Thanks for uploading so much recently. It's really gotten me through this
Made a few crete obstacles myself. Make sure you get some rebar in there like wire mesh. 🤙 Also, look into concrete dye vs painting. ;)

Definitely going to have buy these new ledges.
Just a tip bro, always put water in the bucket first. Then you add concrete powder. Its never the otherway around.
Get some nice wax on them mini ledges Garrett ! If people even do that. Since the move I've been really enjoying these videos man keep it up.
That concrete ledge looks so sick.

I thought from the thumbnail it was a brake pad.
Just an idea, chicken wire border around the top edges of the ledges to act as a coping?
new garret vidddd!!!!! yyyyyeeeewwwww

Bro talking like Bob Ross when evening the mold surface xD

is it a type of feather finish?
That is a lot of concrete
Use your massage gun to create vibrations and get rid of concrete bubbles 💡et voila !!!!
Hi Garrett! I’m Jordyn it’s nice to meet you!❤ 😅 I’m not really interested in skateboarding. I’m more of a BMX person. I watch your videos bc your funny
gotta build more obstacles for your actual skate park
First watcher 🛹
why did i think in the thumbnail garrett was holding a break pad😂
Use some news paper under the mold so you don't ruin that beautiful table
Table is meant to get dirty. It's a workshop table
The noties worked 😤😤
use mold release it helps
What concrete do you use?
🎉🎉🎉 hiii!
Hey I’m tryna to make my own concrete obstacles as well? What cement did you use 🔥
You could also use that concrete to fill in the cracks of your skatepark. Did she have any left over
Modular Fingerboard Obstacles... yoooooo what if
I think a couple companies do them with 3d printed stuff
Hey what kind of cement are u using? And glad your dogs doing better.
So full size next?
Yes
9:20 and I'm tryin' to keep
Up above in my head, instead of goin' under

Is there a link to buy fingerboard obstacles you make?
Never mind I found the page. Unfortunately everything is sold out but they’re all awesome. I’ll check back in a month. Gotta be hard to make that stuff right after moving into a new home.
What fitness watch do you wear and would you recommend it?
Fenix 7X Solar Sapphire. Only had it for about a week and it’s my first fitness watch so I don’t have much to compare it to. It’s a whole lot better than the iPhone fitness app which is what I was using, so so far I’m definitely enjoying it

Go get extra batteries and avoid this problem and also get a cheap corded drill for just in case
why does the molding part of the video sound so naughty?
I wanna buy blems 😂
😂😂 I might just do giveaways with them
Hi Garrett

@@GarrettGinner w content creator 🫶🏽
the weter the concreet the longer it takes to dry
