As Jedi Master Arren Kae, she trained her greatest pupil, who would one day go on to become one of the most infamous Sith Lords in history. This, some would say, was a failure. As Darth Traya, Sith Lord of Betrayal, she failed to foresee or prevent her own betrayal at the hands of her two apprentices-Darths Sion and Nihilus. This, some would say, was a failure. As Kreia, an aged and wise Force user wandering the galaxy, she mentored a Jedi exile who, under her care, regained a lost connection to the Force, would go on to surpass the surviving Jedi Masters, defeated her former apprentices in battles of both might and will, trained a new generation of Lost Jedi, surpass and defeat herself as Darth Traya once more, silence the Force echo of Malachor V that threatened to destroy all life, and, at last, to follow the footsteps of Revan into the Unknown Regions, when all else failed to do so. This, none could say, was a failure.
Arguably the greatest sin in video game history was the time crunch forced upon Obsidian to release KOTOR2 without fully fleshing out and completing its content/story arcs. Kreia is one of the greatest characters in human story telling to me. An individual so devoted to truth and strength that she found herself at odds with the force, a nearly omnipresent power akin to the writers themselves.
The path to enlightenment is to choose forgiveness over suffering. Freeing yourself from the cycle of pain is true power. Life is not defined by good or evil but by whether we choose to be free or remain in our conditioning.
I always thought the line "to be united by hatred is a fragile alliance at best" was incredibly profound, given how quickly people are to dogpile the "villains" of the world and are held together by little else in come cases. And then this "alliance" collapses once the object of their hatred is gone and begins to cannibalize itself.

Kotor 2 was just absolutely amazing. The dissection of the force, it's tenets, the dark and light side and the concept of the force as enslavement. Just amazing. Better than anything Disney has written and will ever write.
This beautifully shows that Kreia is right. The Force imposes its cyclical will of death and pain and suffering upon the galaxy time and time again, that all life and death only serves to fuel the Force's cruel cycle. The Dark Side is far more natural than the Jedi would have you believe.
From a Christian perspective the Living force is a dangerous and abominable Alien entity that should be killed, and Medichlorians are a parasite that turns sentient beings (all of which have a sinful nature) into dogmatic demigods who impose their will on the rest of the galaxy, should probably be vaccinated against.
If Kreia was to see the Warhammer 40k galaxy I wonder how she would think of the Imperium of Man and God Emperor trying to destroy the Forces of Chaos while knowing the terrible things they do and consider it a nessesary cruelty and evil with and the selfless sacrifices they expect their men to do. Knowing the full deadly nature and environment their galaxy is truly like.
It's amazing that I realized falling, as in plummeting through a gravity well, is an inherently quiet thing long after I had thought for hours about the horror of not knowing you are lost to evil.

Kotor 2 is the best video game ever written. And the best take on star wars besides star wars. Probably because no other thing than the fall of anakin has ever been so dark yet still deep.
As a huge fan of both Kotor and Kotor 2, this statement I believe ring true for Star Wars as a whole. There was never a time when someone fell, whether it be to the dark side or anything else, and it wasn't quiet. Let me give a more modern answer and an older media answer. 1. Anakin: His fall truly was quiet. While Windu led a contingent of Jedi to slay Palpetine, the aftermath was quiet with the Jedi slain. Even what happened at the Jedi Temple was quiet, kept under tight lips by Palpetine who was announcing his Emperorship and the rise of the Galactic Empire. Even what happened on Mustafar was quiet. This next one actually pertains to this game. 2. The Jedi Exile: So going by canon of The Old Republic, Meetra Surik's fall was a bit more subtle. The Mandolalorian Wars happen and a good portion of the order goes to fight for the Republic. The war comes to an end at Malachor V with Bao-Dur activating the massive gravity weapon killing Mandolorians and Jedi alike. This is when Meetra cut herself of from the force to shield herself from the lives extinguished on Malachor V. She is the summoned to the council on Courosant and exiled for disobeying the Masters and following Revan. That moment signals the fall. It begins the Nexus of questioning everything the Jedi think they stand for. It puts into perspective that Zez-Kai El and Kevar started to realize that the Jedi training was causing Jedi to fall. It also puts into perspective how arrogant both Vrook and Atris were, as much as they wish to deny it. So yes that whole statement about it being a quiet thing to fall rings true in all major events in Star Wars (Pre Disney lorebreaking a lot).
