It would be great with a video or some pictures of your soldering... I can see that there are soldering plates for esc's. But how did you solder FC power and battery power contact?

Please post some flight footage when you get a moment. LOL... So I can dream about how mine is going to look in flight.

I have the same set up. I had the same issue with the vibration balls... I zipped tied the 4 corners and lost 1 of the middle balls in a wreck too. Unfortunately, I didn't noticed until I was in my car and gone. I'm about to order some of the locking screws from www.massiverc.com. They aren't listed but they have a few in stock. They are ordering more. I didn't think about taking off the middle vibration dampeners and zip tieing it. That's a good idea. Waiting on vibration balls. I cracked my rear arm on my 1st test flight. Not totally broken but there is a stress fracture all the way to 1 of the landing gear mounts on 1 side. Having issues with oscillation. I guess my PIDs are off or something. Waiting on my parts and then I'll hopefully get this thing up and going. Glad you are having success with yours. Locking screws www.diatone.hk/en/Accessories/Damping%20ball%20Lock%20Black.htm

Those screws are perfect! I will have to order those. I did eventually just replace the rubber grommets with different ones i had from another kit. The ones i use now are much stiffer and much better. I also found with the stiffer balls that the pid settings can be higher. If the plate can move to easily the control board will try to over correct. Try tightening the zip ties and see if the oscillation stops. I was having problems with full throttle punch outs until i changed out the balls. Thanks for the link!

coinworker Awesome! So what grommets did you get? I placed 2 separate orders for replacement grommets but they were both too big 100mm and 150mm. Both waaaaaaayyy too big. The factor ones are way too spongy. I saw your zip ties were pretty tight which takes the play and wobble out of the frame. I'm having terrible trouble with oscillation. Let me know which ones you bought. I'm about $15-$20 in grommets and still haven't gotten what I need. I got some of the default ones en route but I'd like to get the stiffer ones you mentioned.

coinworker Also... make sure post some flight footage... so I can see what it's like to actually fly one of these things. LOL... So I can dream...

V Strill I stole the other grommets from my alien quad frame www.dx.com/p/hj-x-mode-mwc-alien-multicopter-quadcopter-frame-kit-for-r-c-helicopter-red-white-black-193544?tc=USD&gclid=CIbI4bXT1cECFahr7AodTw4AAg#.VFLZ_ovF8bk Damn that's a long link!
i will try to get some flight vids up soon. Still learning and tuning so the vids won't be that great.

coinworker I tried your zip tie trick and it worked like a charm. Don't waste your money on the Diatone locking screws. Although they are light because they are plastic they aren't adjustable and quite honestly I don't think they will hold up in a real bad crash. I bought some adjustable ones from Hobby King but I don't even know if I'll use them if my current zip tie solution holds up. I had zip ties on it before but i left all the play in the dampeners. I flatten those bad boys tight and it flies great now. www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=37447

What battery are you using and how long are your flights? I've got some 1000 and 2200 mAh 3s packs but I'm skeptical of the flight times.

Where did you get that hoodie?!!! Awesome!!! Cool flight vid too, just got my HK Dart 250 up with pretty much that same setup. Have everything but the goggles, so still only able to fly line of sight but next paycheck I'll be getting the DIY ones from HK. Highly recommend the HQ carbon composite props, have the 5x3's now but should be getting the 5x4's in a few days pretty excited to see what they can do. Cheap too, $9 total with shipping for a whole set on rtfquads.com.
