- The company Morane-Saulnier, founded in 1911, was a French aircraft manufacturer that also produced the German aircraft Fieseler Fi 156 Storch under license. The Storch, as it was called due to its high-legged, fixed landing gear, first flew in 1936 and was used throughout World War II as a liaison, reconnaissance, and medical evacuation aircraft. The Fieseler Fi 156 Storch was known for its extremely short takeoff capabilities.
Enjoy this demonstation of its flying, takeoff and landing capabilities.
Thanks to Matze Hörber for this nice flight. Well done.
New Camera - do you like it ?
ja
Beautiful, Beautiful, 1000 x Beautiful!
Ty, enjoyed
at some moments it looks like its just floating in air amazing.
oh yes
I just love how it's possible to put it down and get it out of a suburban cul-de-sac.
by hovering it to the air
Incredible Video Quality just makes this plane come to life. Well Done Sir.
Thank you enjoyed
What a great design!
Thx
Feine aufnahmen.
Looks like R755 Jacobs- beautiful French 🇫🇷 plane with a powerful American 🇺🇸 engine and a pretty German 🇩🇪 MT propeller
Oh yes
amazing STOL capabilities
I like it !
Thank you 🙏
French planes nowadays are on another level compared to world war ones
Yes much better
Sehr schönes Video. Da hat sich die Kamera ja gelohnt 😎👍
Ja und der Muskelkater 💪
WAIT ! FRENCH MARKINGS ? A RADIAL ? OTTO SKORZENY IS ROLLING IN HIS GRAVE AT ABOUT 2800 RPM !
It's easy to see why there's no cowling....the engine diameter is larger than the fuselage!
Es gibt keinen französischen Fieseler Storch.Das ist eine Morane MS 505::nix Storch..
не летит, пилот все время на закрылках и предкрылках провел ,двигатель слаб или планер тяжелый
The pilot showed its slow flying capabilities
" Физелер" - с него советы передрали свой Як-12.
Перебрали полностью только назывался он ОКА 38
Олег Константинович Антонов работая в бюро Яковлева.А потом доработали до версии Як 12 Который оказался довольно капризным в управлении и почти не востребованым в народном хозяйстве из за малой полезной нагрузки.
The camera person should do the video work before beer-thirty.
Is there a problem ?
Wrong engine.
I don’t understand why they don’t still make these. What is there today that’s any better?
I would love to have one. Let's start a factory and make them!!!
I looked into the FW 190 and there was a company in Germany that bought the rights and was making them but that company was for sale. Fact remains that aviation is very expensive. To remake a warbird for practical flying is a luxury that not many can afford.
A guy named Slepchev made a 3/4 kit for the storch that had the same stall and takeoff number and was not as heavy so only needed a hundred hp engine. He was in Australia but no longer produces the kit.
@@timtreeborgsonjen1533 Yes but an FW 190 is a beautiful aircraft which can serve no modern purpose and is horrifically expensive to maintain and operate. A modern Fieiseler Storch would be useful for search and rescue, light transport or police service, replacing expensive and dangerous helicopters in many roles.
Not sure about "better" or worse, but I guess that the modern equivalents to the Storch would be things like the Supercub/Carbon Cub, Maule M7, SuperSTOL etc.
I'd actually also love to see a modern version of the Storch and suspect that it could find it's own Niche to compete with aircraft like those I mentioned above. This because if memory serves, the radial engine Storchs had a max payload of about 900-1100 lbs which is about twice as much as a lot of more modern 2 seater STOLs.
Lovely bird. 🎉
I can’t believe the bitty tires, they must have flipped a lot of them.
I gotta love the slow gracefulness of the Storch.
Its slowsex
@@Warbirds 😂 LOL 😂
I like how slowly and gracefully the Storch can fly through the sky.
Yes like 20 mph
It has a hot air tank that floats it around. Lol
Excellent performance with the radial, but the aesthetics are not nearly as good as with the original engine.
Со звездообразным двигателем?такой не видел. В оригинале другой двигатель. Может это чехослоцкий аналог, или поставили какой был
Rosie red mascot good girl
Dont Unterstand
Hast du von der t6 au was
Ja, in gleicher Qualität
eh. its not the same without the jumo...
I agree.
I would not say no to one.
Schöne Maschine!
Danke
Very nice filming and good looking "STORCH" - but without original ARGUS V-8 engine, this is a impression of a real Storch. For example: ME 109 equipped with a HISPANO V12 is also NOT a ME 109.... But again, very good footage and Camworks - So it will have a big LIKE for this Video !!! Very good channel - Thank You !!! ♥👍💯
Yes the real thing with German camp would be better . Another time, another place. Thanks watching and beeing subsribed
Am I missing something… isn’t this a German aircraft?
It’s a French post war version
@@Warbirds ,.. thanks! I’m 70 and had an opportunity to purchase one years ago. Wish I had.
@@Doc.Holiday its always about missed opportunities
@@Warbirds another question… Why were the tires so small. Did the Germans only fly in and out of improved fields and roadways? I wouldn’t think so as it was primarily an artillery spotter. I know there is a lot of shock absorber but the small wheels seem contrary to its STOL mission. I’d always assumed they operated near supported artillery with a service vehicle on a roadway but that’s just a guess? Smaller tires, less weight and less windage. Do you know for a fact?
make it hover
Not RC 😂
Need a stiff breeze for that one! 😅
@@Warbirds really, German pilots did
@@fridayray8891 with the argus engine ?
not sure....I will verify
