Interesting choice of layout they made with this case. This was fun to watch. I know a lot of people are down on tech content but since I don't get to build much now I enjoy the videos more cause at least I can still get to watch some PC building. Hoping prices can come down so that PC gaming doesn't die. Thanks for making this.
I recently made a build in this case myself, was a pretty interesting experience. Cable management was a bit hard but besides that really easy to build in and it looks really nice!
Props to Greg for adding in the edit at the start with the words about modularity of the case. At least he's willing to add in stuff he's missed at first, I like that.
Looks like Antec is back! I really like what they've done here. I really like inverted cases as well. This case would be great to put slightly lower than on a desk, so that you can really see the GPU. GG, Antec! I think they nailed this one.
That removable motherboard frame also allows future outer cases with different designs, saves cost by mass producing the internal frame across many external case designs.
By the look of the pictures on Antec website I thought this was an ITX case. Thanks to your video now I know it is Micro TAX which makes it more appealing. Thanks you!
I wonder how the temps of that GPU is with that glass at the top. In previous build I did my 2080 and 3080 got a little to close to glass for comfort and that greatly affected temps. I would imagine you could put your espresso cups on top of this case when it's going at full load and the coffee wouldn't cool down. The card is also basically blocking a large part of the exhaust potential.
I contacted Antec to see if they would make update to this dark cube, by adding a mesh top/ mesh insert replacing the top glass and or add top fans/ mesh brackets, they said there are no plans for an update to this case
Being able to slide the interior out is bloody brilliant. All I want to see is Gaming Nexus give thermal review and if they are good I am definitely getting this.
I also built my case upside down, but a step further. It is just for ITX so that the GPU is directly ending at the top panel. I absolutely love it, the only downside is, that it supports only two-slot-cards that are unfortunately getting rare nowadays.
I run an inverted ATX case from Segotep called the Typhon which I like, but if I had a smaller mobo I definitely would have gone after this. That snap in glass does make me nervous though. I do like that the MOBO i/o is still out the back where most (including mine) is out the top, and then routes out the back.
Always loved wacky case designs like this, however I always worry that hot air rising will get reintroduced into the GPU so I'd love to see companies make vents that cover the GPU fans to let cool air from the rear to cool it down. Nice build!
Those PSU cables are not sleeved; the insulation on the wires is just black. I'm also curious if you left the side panel off when you ran Time Spy. With the orientation of that graphics card, it looks like it may be difficult for it to get all the heat exhausted with the panel on. I'm also wondering if it would be possible to orient the CPU Cooler so that the fins are parallel to the airflow of the case from front to back; it seems like that might help aid cooling as well if it's possible on the Ryzen - I'm guessing probably not. Very cool (looking) case though. I love the front intake mesh grill.
I guess this is somewhat interesting. I would like to see Silverstone's new Alta G1M in a build. It's also an M-ATX/ITX but it's at 90 degrees, which isn't really new to them but I think I would like to build with this case but want to see more first.
Nice build, and you should follow up with a Review video exploring the temps, especially the GPU. Also, how could you not know about the slide out feature? Do you not do some initial online website check or read the instruction book before shooting a video?
Did my build in it an I love it , paired it with a 9900k and zotac 3080ti Only thing is cable management is not great 😕 especially when you try and slide it in and out
I never understood why GPU's were upside down like that. I have a Mac Pro from 2010 and it looks so good with the beautiful part of the GPU facing up. I'm currently trying to modify some computer cases to hopefully flip everything around so it sits on my desk while showing off the GPU's
My last inverted build was when I re-cased and upgraded my grandmothers old computer for my mom's studio. Riotoro cr1080 maybe? It's pretty small for a case that takes a full atx board but it was an easy build.
Inverted ATX case user here, Raijintek Thetis. The market should really make inverted case a more available alternative since there's no way to practically place a normal case on your left side unless you don't care about aesthetic.
I'd like to see the modular frame design be more popularized. Imagine a full custom loop that you could just slide out of the back of the case to admire or work on
I went inverted with my recent rebuild but with a silverstone rl08 because it was the only option at the time that would let me put my pc on the left of my desk but also let me see my build in all its inverted glory (and upside down text, asus = snsv, etc)
One has to wonder if modern GPUs are designed to have the fans facing down or, at the very most, facing sideways (for vertically mounted cards), rather than facing up. I'm thinking this because heat raises up, so the fans would be fighting against the raising heat, rather than helping it get out (when the fans are facing down).
I would love for you to do a Segotep Phoenix build. I have that case and would love to see what you have to say about it. Its inverted as well but from what ive seen one of the best setups for an inverted pc.
"builds entire system struggling to get things in , only to find out later the chassis slides out.. " trust me I have probably had those "Bang head on desk" moments. but seriously a sweet case.
I love the vertical cases, with the io up top behind a removable panel and the gpu hangs vertically. Awesome if you unplug and plug stuff in a lot, great for fresh air to the gpu and no sag!
I was considering the Antec Dark cube for a htpc/media center build. I like Antec cases I have 2 Antec made cases, the original Sonata and a P182 gun metal variant. Only issue is the dark cube in Canada is almost $250 + taxes & s/h. Too pricey for me now. :(
I been watching You for a while now, and i just wanna say i love this videos even tho I dont understand much about Computers... But i love watching your content! Its a amazing! I do have a question that I hope you maybe could help me with something. Question: My USB ports does not work.. Only one USB port works atm. Do you know how to fix this? or what i should do..
Got a score of 17283 in time spy with a 5900x and 3090 Strix. I must have some performance left somewhere on the table. Have not overclocked anything, only enabled "XMP". Could you do a video on fine tuning a system from UEFI to OS? I wanna squeeze out more juicy gamer points at load, but run cool as ever at idle.
Great content Greg. Always look fwd to your releases. I've been on the lookout for an upcoming inverted case - the dark cube fits the bill. Sidenote: Great to see the Antec brand again! I'm still running an Antec P182 case.
Love your channel, have been watching it consistently over the past 2 weeks. I'm quite an OCD freak also, so I can relate to how you do your builds and cleans. Just wondering what that green band is for?
I want a case that swaps the front for the back. Rear I/O is ridiculous and we’ve been futzing around with those cables at the back for long enough. I want every cable accessible from the front.
I can understand the appeal of these very compact cases, but there seems to be a tendency to try to get as much as possible in as small a case as possible and thermals almost always suffer significantly. Seems like the GPU airflow would be choked off with that top panel with those small vents. Maybe the air coming in the front is enough. I'd like to see the thermals in extended workflow or gaming.

I really need help
I'm trying to get my pc to boot
I've disconnected and reconnected everything like 4 times

Is my pc dead?
Ryzen 5600x

Seasonic 750w semi modular
1660 zotac
In a meshify c case
Any help greatly appreciated thanks
the only led that lights up is flash bios and it does three flashes then nothing
And the rgb master cooler fan lights up for a second and then nothing else happens
Has happened each time I try and start up the rgb does that
The bios only flashes when I click it
I'm thinking about taking cmos batter out for 15 minutes
Redownload the bios reformat ny flash again to fat and unplug everything and bread board connecting stuff again 1 by 1
But this is super stressful I just want my rig to run
I have the seasonic 750w gm semi modular so I know it's working
Hopefully it was protecting something I had incorrectly connected or something like that
1 by 1 I'll try and see what the issue is
I'm gonna reseat the cpu reseat the ram and basically do everything again
Really only can find like 3 and more year old forums to trouble shoot this is really a lot more difficult than the whole build your own crowd makes it seem
I could've just got a prebuilt and upgraded it but this is really demoralizing having it not work over and over again

What do you do to the pc after building it?
Happy Star Trek Day!

I laughed SO hard when that tray slid-out, it's like something that would happen to me.
Even tho it showed it right on the box... I spotted that right off.
The look on his face was priceless......
I love how cases are going toward looking like jet engine intakes again like the old dell XPS lol
If you fill it with server fans it'll sound like a jet.

this is actually an older case design, been redone a couple times. Check out the Razer version. Im not a razer fan but its neat.
That sliding inner frame is so freakin' COOL! I love that removable motherboard trays are making a comeback!
Very clever case. I was always a fan of Antec. The Antec 900 and 1200 were very good for the time period.
Oh yeah I built mine with the Antec 900, multiple fans, with the huge exhaust fan on top.. was badass
Antec: so much space! for activities! includes manual inside.
Greg: manual? lol(throws it to trash)
Looks like Antec is back! I really like what they've done here. I really like inverted cases as well. This case would be great to put slightly lower than on a desk, so that you can really see the GPU. GG, Antec! I think they nailed this one.

Antec! That's a name I haven't heard in a while. I had a big old silent Antec case (P180b) and loved it!
Love the case design on this
By the look of the pictures on Antec website I thought this was an ITX case. Thanks to your video now I know it is Micro TAX which makes it more appealing. Thanks you!

This case looks awesome. I'm glad to see Antec is hopefully making a comeback.
lol this is actually an older case design they are trying to bring attention to again.
Love your work. Watched your channel grow substantially over time. Kudos to you and your hard work ethic.
WOW nice to see Antec back its been a LONG LONG time
Literally the best PC content creator on UA-cam. Keep it up Greg!
Wow! I appreciate that!
That is an interesting case now I want to build in it. Great video and showcase.
Check out the many different versions they have. Its actually an older model. Razer even did a thing with it.
Interesting case, but that slanted look gives me anxiety. It looks like it's tipping over.
Thanks Mr. Freeman!

I do like that case. Very nice
Prior to coming across this video, I actually didn't know Antec are still around! I've mostly known them for stuff they released throughout the 2000s.

excellent build!
That sliding frame is sick. I'd like to see that as a standard feature in future cases.
