im going to sound like a total nerd but bro,, this gif really does bring to attention the amount of detail that was put into kakegurui. the way yumeko's eyes slightly open when she looks up and a small shadow appears as she squints is simple and basic but expertly executed attention to detail. the way her head and hair don't move an inch yet she still conveys so much emotion really shows what kind of character she is. coming from an artist whos attempted animation multiple times, this stuff right here? this is how i get my kicks. i'd talk about color schemes, but i have homework to do.

That and the slight dilation of her pupils as they move up to a more shadowed part of her face and the fact that her eyebrows move along with her eyes to fulfill the entire expression completely. The eyelashes don't change, and the shine in her eyes doesn't move even though her eyes do, they took enough time to recognize light angle doesn't move with the eyes.. The animators took a lot of time and dedication into the entire anime itself and it's astonishingly impressive.
AND THE SHADINGGGG I always love the part where there really getting into the game and their eyes like glow and look like actually real This is why I love kakegurui
