Severely underrated drummer from the 80's. Always played for the song. Had some very great moments on George Lynch solo album wicked sensation.

Hey Bryan , you should start doing interviews for this channel again. I noticed that your last one was three years ago with Kelly Hansen. I have listened to quite a few, and they are all very good.

Thanks Brian. Wild Mick is one of my favorite drummers, power drummer like myself. Back for the attack is my fave Dokken record. I think Don did his best work on that one.

I also definitely would love more interviews from this channel including Don Dokken, but it looks like he stopped doing interviews for this channel three years ago. The last interview on this channel was three years ago with Kelly Hansen from Hurricane/ Foreigner. Hopefully he will start doing interviews again because he did a phenomenal job before he stopped.

Haha can’t believe Mick holds shadowlife in high regard..I was convinced on the theory George Lynch deliberately bombed that album to bury dokken....

The singer for Bourbon Ballet does sound a lot like Oni and Robert lol. Great interview Brian as usual. Mick has some great stories and I thought his response to George wanting to end Dokken on a high note was interesting. I'm hoping Mick meant he really liked Dysfunctional and not Shadowlife. From my recollection George came into Dysfunctional when it was relatively completed and added solos with re-recorded rhythm tracks. It did seem though when you asked for clarification he was certain he meant Shadowlife, especially when he said George was so involved. Don went along with the music begrudgingly and said he wanted the original Dokken logo font off of the record. It's the only one without it. Shadowlife was a dumpster fire imo but I did like Puppets On A String, Hard To Believe, and Bitter Regret. Don has since blamed producer Kelly Gray for not allowing Dokken's trademark vocal harmonies and trying to fit in with the grunge scene.

+George Robbins The song "Deep Waters" off the Japanese import is awesome. Best song on the record and it was only a bonus track!

Hello. I noticed that he spoke up for Shadowlife not once, but twice. He HAD to have been talking about Dysfunctional because Shadowlife is pretty bad (unless perhaps it is a grows with more listens, I only made it though it 3 times).
      Anyhow, good interview. Thank You.

Very cool interview. I just wish Mick didn't talk so quick and laughed so much. Oh well, lol.

It was the recording quality, yes, horribly scratchy.

I am not familiar with some of his bands or him, but enjoyed the show. I like finding bands I missed.

honestly, I couldn't handle being around this guy, speaks so frigging fast,he would be way too annoying to be around, guy talks 1000 miles an hour constantly, like on speed times 1000, maybe some people like that, way too annoying in my opinion. like a five year old on speed, can't understand half what he says..I guess some people like that..
