I disagree. Based on statistics of countries with capital punishment, more and more countries are now removing capital punishment since it is not an effective deterrent against crimes. There are no significant changes to the crime rate when capital punishment was enforced. The person who plans to commit a henious crime will not be afraid of the punishment rather, he will think on how he will not be caught or how to escape punishment.

Kudos to Singapore for standing up for its laws and their ability to carry out justice for the victims of this convicted murderer. I also come from the Philippines but I don't buy this guilt tripping mindset that I must feel bad for her simply because she's from the same country as I do, I only care for the implementation of the laws of Singapore, which we can all agree is one of the reasons as to why they have one of the lowest crime rates in Asia.

Singapore rejected Flor's statement about Huang's father and even rejected the clemency of Ramos, so I guess, there's nothing he could really do that time + Flor also admitted her crimes but just withdrawn it later on.
@evestar775 Flor withdrew because she felt the support of Filipinos. But every alibi she made, every witness or testimony made by the defence when the case was reopened, was not believed by the court. The parents of the boy did not even know it was Flor until the authorities read her name in Delia's diary and some of Delia's valuable items were found in Flor's. Even the defence cannot very well establish if there is any motive from the parents of the boy to kill Delia and blame Flor.

Why are those rabid fanatics celebrating the life of an OFW turned murderer named Flor when, in fact, she had killed a fellow OFW named Delia and an innocent 3 year old kid named Nicholas in Singapore before she was executed by authorities?
We should honor the life of Delia and Nicholas instead.
