Small plane like that crashing so soon after takeoff...95 percent chance it was overloaded and could not gain enough lift to stay in the air. Crashing on takeoff is extra shitty because there is a full load of fuel on board that turns the plane into a fireball on impact.

@@Hedgeflexlfz The plane was a Piper PA-31T, yeah it is twin engine but its a tiny little turboprop. Yeah it can carry 5 people easily but it can't carry much more than that. If this reporter had a camera man with equipment that is a bunch of heavy shit, if the passengers all brought even 1 heavy bag each it could easily cause this kind of crash. It's max takeoff weight is only 9000 pounds...that is not a lot at all. The plane weighs 4,870 pounds EMPTY. So that means you can only add about 4000 pounds to the aircraft safely before it is overloaded. That includes fuel, passengers, crew, bags, everything. If the captain forgot to weigh the bags and just guessed at the weights (happens all too often) and they all just happened to be heavy...RIP.

Is it common for a small plane to blow up like that? With a rolling ball of flames as the witness described? I mean, I understand it has fuel on board, etc. but a rolling ball of flames and windows blown out of buildings?
I am an LSU fan...my family and I go to a game every year. My heart breaks for this family, and I pray for God to comfort them at this time. God bless them.

Why did he have a cell phone if he wasn't going to answer it or have it on him. People if you have a cell phone have it on you 100% of the time. There is literally no excuse not to have that on you. If you don't want to answer or can't keep the phone on you, get rid of it and go to a landline. So sad that this happened.

Flying has always been risky. Just make sure you trust your pilot/crew! I am guessing they were overweight and/or there were some serious mechanical issues but considering there were 7 people aboard and all with some luggage and the amount of fuel that burned after crashing...some of those people might not have been forthright about their weight and caused miscalculations by the pilot/crew.

Of course for this exact situation its just its just a fly ball into left field but its not impossible, helicopter crash and plane crash withing a couple of days, all the shit going on with Boeing, etc etc its just like if they are actually making this much revenue how have things not gotten better and if they aren't why arent they taking more precautions. What im trying to get at is, everything is moving at a break neck speed, everyone has to be anywhere at any time and weve begun cutting corners in safety and protocol just for the sake of an extra hour or minute. This can be said about almost anything not just the airline industry.

caramel king200000 report said it’s a twin engine plane. THat being said, maybe only 1 was working. Losing 1 engine during takeoff with a fully loaded airplane is not necessarily a death sentence, but it is most certainly a VERY dangerous situation. NTSB will get to the bottom of it
