My cousin was brought to America by Carlos for to custom build his guitars. My cousin visited my family for a few days and off to California he went. We have not heard from him since. Carlos was my favorite musician on guitar in those days, still is. To me he is King of Latin Soul and a very passionate soul himself. He has done a lot of good for a lot of people. I would love to sit down at a session with him and talk to him and listen while he played. The guitar is so much a part of Carlos that I couldn't see him live without it. I listened to him starting in the late 60's and became a huge fan in the 70's while serving in the Marines, later I find out about my cousin Jan. I and my parents are immigrants, having escaped communism in Czechoslovakia and obtaining sponsors here in America who helped us on our final journey here. Well, thank you Carlos for all you have musically done for me and my family. I love you my brother ! A friend always !

Santana truly amazes me! His music is absolutely timeless!!! I remember the very first time I was introduced to Santana’s music. I was just a kid driving down the highway with my sister’s boyfriend in a convertible top down in the middle of winter listening to classic Santana. I’m 58 so it had to be 45 years ago. Boy did I think we were oh so cool! LOL LOL LOL Tom was a musician and schooled me on classic rock. LOL
One unbelievably perfect morning my friend & I were hanging out at the Marina in Miami waiting to join our cruise ship that afternoon, just sitting there killing time people-watching and enjoying the moment. A pushcart vendor came by selling strawberry margaritas. Suddenly we heard Gloria's familiar voice behind us. She came strolling in alongside our table with her entire band and they started setting up to play ten feet in front of us. It was such a nice day they had decided it would be a great idea to put on a free concert for the people of Miami. Are you kidding me? We were dumbfounded. She, the band and the concert of course were incredible.

What a magical experience for your heart and soul. Two maestros with their distinctive God given talent. Carlos Santana's beautiful guitar sounds and Gloria Estefan's sweet voice is truly a match made in heaven. Have never heard this song but what a treat and delight! I love when a artist is able to move and touch me with their talent and this collaboration is like a beautiful experience taking you to places within your soul and moving you to feel peace and love that sways you and fills you with much happiness. I'm so glad I found this video and putting it at the top of my playlist!
There I was. 1978. Bonanza Sirloin Pit, 6100 Roswell Road. Atlanta GA. 30328. I was working the fryer when Carlos Santana came in for dinner one Thursday evening. I cooked him the all-you-can-eat country fried steak dinner with mashed potatoes chicken gravy and texas toast. True story. This means a lot to me, not sure if y’all care, it’s cool either way. Whenever I’ve watched an interview with Santana since then, I’ve gotten a deep peak into reality so I got that going for me which is nice.
A fantastic performance!...wish I was there. Have never seen these two perform together before...but in the many videos/performances of Santana I've seen with so many greats, he seems to be enjoying her singing, listening & dancing, as much as he does playing himself...and giving from his heart as he always does for his fans with his God given talent...to me he is the GOAT...viva Santana!!!

I listen to Santana each and every time I play UA-cam music and then I ran across this live performance and all I can say is Santana's music is like smooth jazz for the soul but better with a guitar and whatever he's doing. I fall asleep listening to this type of music in my ear that Santana delivers everytime. He is the Latin American version of Garth Brooks. I'm not into alot of country artist but I recognize how big of an inspiration and influencer Garth Brooks is to the world of country music and all I can think is Santana must be even bigger in the world of Latin Rock n Roll. Idk but like I said I love this dude's music. He always goes.

when i was 7 years old he has been the musician who made me dream to become a percussionist. In my dreams i was on stage with him playing congas and thank to this great artist my dream came true 31 years later during his europeen tour in 1998 in France.I felt like i was in heaven when he said my name to introduce me to the audience. thank u mister Santana to still give me the energy, the feeling, the inspiration to play percussion at almost 56 years old. ( sorry for my english).

What a magical experience for your heart and soul. Two maestros with their distinctive God given talent. Carlos Santana's beautiful guitar sounds and Gloria Estefan's sweet voice is truly a match made in heaven. Have never heard this song but what a treat and delight! I love when a artist is able to move and touch me with their talent and this collaboration is like a beautiful experience taking you to places within your soul and moving you to feel peace and love that sways you and fills you with much happiness. I'm so glad I found this video and putting it at the top of my playlist!

There I was. 1978. Bonanza Sirloin Pit, 6100 Roswell Road. Atlanta GA. 30328. I was working the fryer when Carlos Santana came in for dinner one Thursday evening. I cooked him the all-you-can-eat country fried steak dinner with mashed potatoes chicken gravy and texas toast. True story. This means a lot to me, not sure if y’all care, it’s cool either way. Whenever I’ve watched an interview with Santana since then, I’ve gotten a deep peak into reality so I got that going for me which is nice.

A fantastic performance!...wish I was there. Have never seen these two perform together before...but in the many videos/performances of Santana I've seen with so many greats, he seems to be enjoying her singing, listening & dancing, as much as he does playing himself...and giving from his heart as he always does for his fans with his God given talent...to me he is the GOAT...viva Santana!!!

I listen to Santana each and every time I play UA-cam music and then I ran across this live performance and all I can say is Santana's music is like smooth jazz for the soul but better with a guitar and whatever he's doing. I fall asleep listening to this type of music in my ear that Santana delivers everytime. He is the Latin American version of Garth Brooks. I'm not into alot of country artist but I recognize how big of an inspiration and influencer Garth Brooks is to the world of country music and all I can think is Santana must be even bigger in the world of Latin Rock n Roll. Idk but like I said I love this dude's music. He always goes.

when i was 7 years old he has been the musician who made me dream to become a percussionist. In my dreams i was on stage with him playing congas and thank to this great artist my dream came true 31 years later during his europeen tour in 1998 in France.I felt like i was in heaven when he said my name to introduce me to the audience. thank u mister Santana to still give me the energy, the feeling, the inspiration to play percussion at almost 56 years old. ( sorry for my english).
