Yeah, I felt the same way 😁. I actually wanted to take my parents there in February this year, but unfortunately, they couldn't make it. But I still have my hope to visit Varana again at the end of the year.
Yes, it is actually in a quiet area. There are five or six restaurants and a few shops, but if you want to go to the market, you need to take a taxi. It takes approximately 20 minutes.
