Agreed. Most fog puzzles are very linear with the clearing of the fog governing where you need to focus next. I do like it when they hide the final part of the solve.
nice and quick puzzle! @18:25 you ponder that the renban could also be the disambiguator - but it never can! just like the german whisper lines, it is symmetrical!
10:36. I didn't use coloring; as soon as I established that R4C2 was a 4 or 6, I filled in "4" arbitrarily and was able to fill in the entire puzzle quickly. At the end, the disambiguating black dot had an 8&6, so I did a high-low swap to complete the solve.
HEY, Slueth, where's the "Troll" on this one?! (Not in the woods) It's under each and every column (there's NINE of 'em). Oh, WAIT, he's in the FOG in box3.. (Yeah, that's where he BE..) (Had to rhyme for ya , lol) 😆😮🤔🦅🦅(
I started out looking at rows 8 and 9, because the whisper digits meant r9c147 couldn't be 456, nor could r8c258. I got a few minutes in before realizing that the rule related to columns, not rows... another recent puzzle went the other way and I didn't read clearly enough. I threw out the work I had done thus far and started over. I won't count that time because I was solving against the wrong rule, and none of that work really helped me in the true solve. Lots of nice logic here in the interplay between constraints. My time on the real solve was 14:29, solver number 199.
21:51 not easy for me... I got a lot of trouble thinking in 3 colours, didn't think of 6 or 4 as a number that can be in a German Whispers as a high or low number, I was thinking only in middle numbers 😅 You understand what I mean? It is that I should have used 2 colours in the 4 and 6 (as you did) to differentiate them. But your solve helped me one more time! Let's go! Thanks 😎
I started by observing r2c4 must be 1 or 9. Not sure if I cheated but I placed a 1 there (knowing it could be a 9) to see what happens and was able to complete the puzzle 25 min later.
Thanks again for the feature and kind words!
A wonderful puzzle, thanks for creating and sharing. Sleuth mentioned your other puzzles, are they located /available if I wanted to check them out?
Phenomenal construction once again Sir Moose!
No chance to get it done without looking at your solve. Thanks Sleuth, learned something new today.
I hope it helped you get started and run with it though!
A remarkable puzzle.
took me over 4 hours to solve (its an age thing) but i'm so pleased i kept going.
I definitely needed your video to help me with this one.
Glad I could help!
I can't wrap my head around this puzzle - even with watching your video.
Ouch!
Just remember entropy rather than German whispers.
Finding the middle one is key to make progress.
Fantastic puzzle. Needed lots of help to get it going. Thanks!
Glad it helped!
This was the first fog puzzle I have tried that did not use the fog to lead you through the puzzle.. A good puzzle and video.

18:17 for me. I struggled to wrap my head around this one for quite a while... Cheers, Sleuth!

I gotta follow Slueth on this one (because I sorta can't follow).
Lead on, Slueth.
😆

25:03 today
Wow! Remarkable puzzle! 15:02 to solve.

Some people may like to do that and just be ready to reverse all the digits, if it works for you, it works!
