This wasn't really Dimash and the Super Vocal Boys, but the other way round. Super VB were competing in 2018 I Am Singer and all the competitors in this episode had to sing with a guest - they invited Dimash to join them for this medley.

It is called Dinglish....and we love it. You put your declarative backwards. Dimash does not need western acclaim... The West needs Dimash. We have nothing to offer him....He can bless us with his music.... You need to get to know a great deal more about Dimash, before you make unqualified statements......Please go to Kazakhstan, learn a song in their language in 1 week, get up on stage and perform it.....Good Luck with that.

Dimash was quite aware that he had to work on his english pronunciation since it is far away from most languages spoken in the eastern part of the world. But, Mr. Vox, you must remind yourself that this was 5 years ago, in 2018, and since then, he mas made gigantic progress. And in his career plans , he's coming on the western world more in 2023 so he's going to be more immersed in english speaking on a daily basis. Also, using so many languages and only going on 29 y.o. this month of may, with all he's doing professionnally, I mean the guy just doesn't take a break. LOL Thanks again for your work and understanding.

Dimash is learning English, but that's not the problem, it's that the western world needs to understand that not everyone has to adapt to their idea of a successful artist and not the whole world revolves around western music and way of thinking.
Dimash currently sings in 14 languages. Respect to him. I really hope that he maintains his uniqueness as an independent artist and doesn't change himself according to some demands and someone else's understanding.
He has his own way and his own goals.

So far he's shown us the unwavering strength of his independence. he's not easily swayed by people's opinions. only those whom he has the greatest respect for - his parents, grandparents, his teachers and mentors. so he will be attentive to the opinion of others outside of that circle but he will weigh things properly before making decisions. he's wise beyond his years our Dimaxi!

Dimash does not need to pursue western culture any more than we should envelope ourselves in other than our own.
These other singers are Chinese whereas Dimash only started singing in English in this 3month competition.
Kazakh vowels, consonants, and letters of their alphabet are not the same as ours, and being ex USSR, Russian with it’s heavy consonants is his second language.
World music does not revolve around English culture unless you are English speaking.
Dimash was brought into this competition as an unknown wildcard who was not expected to last past the first night, but instead, he broke Chinese internet with SOS as the first song on the first night, and was given guards for the competition duration, after about 6-12 hundred million views overnight.
Now, I think he has sung in about 13 languages, and has one currently that he has put out in Spanish which is quite difficult apparently trying to match their language phonetics.

It's actually Kazakh that has the heavy consonants. My own language is similar. If you can pronounce these sounds, Italian and Spanish aren't too tricky.

He only learnt about this performance a day before and being a non English speaker all his life in a country that doesn’t even speak English (Russia and Kazakh only), it is amazing he still can sing brilliantly and clearly. Try to sing multiple Kazakh popular songs, learn them in a day and perform it in national TV. I doubt anyone can do that let alone singing it perfectly.

I've tried to learn French for years and can read it fairly well, but can't do much in a conversation. So I get the difficulty, especially when you're trying to learn Mandarin at the same time.

@@zoteck9177 You just assume while we know for a fact that the only languages he initially spoke in 2017, when he became internationally known, are Kazakh and Russian,. When he came to the Singer contest, he could only say his name in English. He has made a huge progress since, especially considering he has to sing in many different languages during all this time, including Mandarin, Italian, Japanese, etc. Not many singers would take such challenge upon themselves. If you look at his last post on IG and hear him speak English, you can see his immense improvement. There are other languages spoken in different countries, English is widely known compared to others, but not everywhere and not by absolutely everybody. A bit more tolerance won't hurt.

Dear vocal coach, listening to you, it seems that you are not a vocal coach, but a very picky English teacher. Fortunately, Dimash grew up and was brought up in Kazakhstan, where they do not find fault with how you pronounce words, because more than a hundred nationalities live in our country, in Kazakhstan, and they appreciate humanity and professional skills. Kazakh song contests are held in our country, where these songs are sung by foreign singers, and we love this contest, although all foreigners sing with an emphasis on Kazakh, but we like that foreign singers bring their national flavor to Kazakh songs, and we, Kazakhs, do not criticize foreign singers for their accent, but we are grateful to them that they sing songs in the Kazakh language.

Kazakhstan is just like my country, Malaysia. We are racially, culturally, language diverse so most of us don't really speak perfect English. We usually mix slangs and what not from our local languages and dialects while using English and Malay as our conversing language among locals. Most Asians don't have a problem with Dimash's pronunciation because some of us pronounce them the same way lol. Besides, I think it's cute, his Dinglish 🤭

@@stephaniejaboh8929 In Kazakhstan, since the Soviet era, all people speak Russian, so that different nationalities speak the same language and understand each other, since the Soviet Union was isolated from the world community, the so-called "iron Curtain", and Kazakhstan had a problem of losing the Kazakh language, but with the acquisition of independence and sovereignty. years ago, the Kazakh language began to revive in Kazakhstan, and Dimash greatly contributes to the revival of the Kazakh language and Kazakh culture, maybe that's why he didn't spend much time learning English as a child, because even now in Kazakhstan they speak Russian and Kazakh, and English is not used for communication in everyday life of course, they speak English only in foreign companies that work in Kazakhstan. Now Dimash is in the USA, where he constantly speaks English, and with his musical ear, he will definitely improve his pronunciation in English.

@@Gala_Lenova and to be completely honest, I actually love people who appreciates and proud of their own mother tongue like Dimash. That's why my favourite songs from him are not his English songs but his Kazakh songs. It's part of his identity. When I said we speak English in Malaysia, I actually meant English is also our language of communication apart from Malay but even then, our English speech and pronunciation is far from perfect. Most of us actually butchered the language a lot lol. Most of our people from the rural areas also still struggle with English because any language is not easy to learn if we don't speak it very often. That's why I understand why Dimash is the way he is. Wherever English is not a widely used language of communication in any country, it's understandable that they will not speak it often which contributes to why the learning process will take longer.

Have you tried putting filters on the videos? That usually works, with breaks.
Some make it transparent, they change the color, reverse the picture, etc. I think it would be nice to have those reactions, especially from a vocal coach who understands singing. We don't need a clear video of Dimash. We should go to his channel for that. (Though voice coaches often do like to point out how the mouth is shaped, posture, etc.)
Thank you for trying again, and reacting to Dimash.

You are not the only one who says he needs to work on his pronunciation, and sure some syllables are wrong, what really impresses me are his vowels, 90% of them are great in English and in French (I live in France). There are many great opera singers who can't sing decent french vowels because the are too used to italian vowels.

It's not easy to work on pronunciations when you must learn a song phonetic in one week. He sings in more than 15 languages and speaks fluently Russian, some Chinese mandarin, and now in 2023 he speaks English not wery well but sings it very well. He's still learning English. He knows that English is the world language by now. It's a very different song to react to being you. Why not OLIMPICO when you can hear his real opera voice. From low to high. It's a powerful song and a masterpiece. Or OPERA 2 from I'm a singer 2017 in China when he was only 22 years old. He turns 29 May 24. 2023. Love from Norway 🇳🇴 👍

Agree with the comments on pronunciation, it's the only thing he needs to work on, although he probably had to learn this song in a rush. @@mariannebjork2652
There is no doubt that Dimash is the best singer in the world right now. No one can do everything he can do alone.
But some fans tend to exaggerate things. Some mention a vocal range of more than 8 octaves and that he speaks (sings) more than 15 languages, but if a native speaker of English, Spanish or French makes even a modest comment about his pronunciation not being perfect, fans go wild for that person. "How dare you criticize Dimash because he is perfect. Any criticism is irrelevant."
      This is silly.
Dimash is not 100% perfect. He is also a human, not an alien or some robot, FORTUNATELY!
Just that his modesty, kindness, humility or his imperfection in some matters make him even more lovable.
Dimash's really existing abilities and performance are more than enough for everything, so he doesn't need his fans to exaggerate about him in any matter.

I thank you for your response. This is absolutely true, as Jesus said: "You will know the truth and the truth will set you free".
The song was started by Dimash, and in the first line of the lyrics, he really didn't say every word correctly, but some gibberish. This is true, not irrelevant, but we still love it. And that's the point. 😍
