Cook covered for about 10-15 minutes until the vegetables are soft. Blend the soup until smooth and pour in the cream. Let it come to a boil and season with a little salt and pepper. Top with bacon.
Triston your cousin Trey loves broccoli. Only raw though. I think Tristan should cook broccoli for Trey. See what he thinks. Trey loves raw broccoli and eats it every day.. according to Trey on his videos.
The trick is to hide the food and change the texture. Put in blender just lightly, mix with Mac and cheese, put in casserole dish, apply crunchy topping and bake. Lord don’t tell kids what’s in it till they say they like it.
Simple…roasted broccoli….preheat oven to 425 F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Lay broccoli on parchment paper. Sprinkle olive oil, garlic powder, onion power. Place in preheated oven for about 45 minutes. YUM!!! My kids love it!
We are HUGE broccoli fans! We like it boiled better than steamed and we definitely salt the water. We eat it plain with passion but roasted with lemon juice is divine too.
I love the broccoli and cheese casserole they serve at Cheddars Restaurant, that is ALWAYS one of my side dishes. We eat lots of broccoli at home, we steam it first, then sauté it with garlic.
Tristin is so cute he’s so nice and caring! I’m so glad you were able to re connect with him and he is able to build his relationship with everyone! It feels like he has always been there 🥰
I have 1 Child out of all that don't like Broccoli but have mastered a way to get him to eat it.. I'll Par Boil my Broccoli along with thinly sliced Carrots then I'll cook Noodles (Ramen for you) put it all together in a Bowl with Cooked and Diced Chicken or Pork, add Soy Sauce and Sweet Chilli Sauce, Fianlly garnish with spring onion (Green onion) again chopped thinly and he absolutely devours it! ❤
My mom figured out how to keep kids from being picky eaters very easily. She had a rule. We had to try everything at least once. As a toddler, this took the fear out of it. I knew I just had to try it one time, my opinions would be validated, and I’d never have to eat it again if I didn’t like it. There was VERY FEW THINGS I didn’t actually like. Liver was one, shrimp and grits was another. But everything else.. I mean..food is USUALLY good lol. As a toddler, with that pressure taken away and understanding I just simply had to try it once, I tried EVERYTHING. I understood as a toddler that you had to try things to know if you liked them, and I had no pressure to be forced to eat more if I didn’t like it. So it was less scary to try things. I was a toddler and was eating escargot, ostrich burgers, bison, sushi, alligator nuggets, raw oysters, and almost all vegetables. I remember having a friend over who expressed “I hate mushrooms!” I said “have you ever had them?” And she said no. She tried them.. loved them. My mom let us sauté them, we ate them raw, and she even used them in her omelet that we made the next morning. Another friend was grossed out by the deer sausage we had. When he finally tried it, he loved it so much that he took home like four packs of sausage my dad had made. My best friend Mirissa wasn’t picky, but sometimes wouldn’t wanna try things. After spending time with us, she began trying everything and now does the same with her kids. You have to try things to know if you like them or dislike them. And whether it’s a toddler or an older child, they should be given the autonomy to say “i actually really dislike this. I don’t care to eat it again”. As well, with my mom’s daycare and with us kids, she always involved us not just in the cooking process, but in the purchasing process. She taught us how to find quality ingredients on a budget. And she would have us kids and even all her daycare kids truly involved in cooking meals. Not just sandwiches or grilled cheeses, or hotdogs or something. But true MEALS. Kids are so much more likely to eat something when they were involved in the process of making it.
I really enjoy Aaron's cooking tips and especially now with Tristan who lends a bit of expertise. At first I was surprised that so many of the kids didn't like the broccoli, but then remembered that I wouldn't go near it as a kid either. Aaron was absoloutely right about it being a texture thing. I was that "picky eater kid"and I never questioned why, but just a few years ago I read a study that broke down into categories what types of picky eaters some kids were. When I read "some kids don't respond well to certain textures"I realized that was me! It helps if kids are asked to be specific about what they don't like, just as Jake did when he said "it isn't the taste, but the texture". By the way, as an adult I love all vegetables that I woudn't eat as a kid but still turned off by some textures. They may still grow to like the broccoli!😄
This comment has nothing to do with broccoli. It has to do with Tristan! I love all the videos with Tristan in them, especially the cooking videos. Since he came, I think all the other young men have been joining in with cooking and learning so many new skills. Tristan, you are amazing!!
Maybe you could do a retry: Rabbit and Wolves has a bang bang broccoli recipe thats out of this world. Or maybe puree it in a soup or puree to make like a creamy/cheesy pasta sauce
If you make broccoli cheddar soup, I bet you everybody eat it cause that’s the only soup that people eat at Panera that children eat. That’s the only soup do it broccoli cheddar soup? I bet everybody eat it.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I think its still a win that they are trying something they dont like and giving it a chance to see if they would like it. I think it also helps them become more open minded and before say no to something so quick and be shocked thier opinon isnt what they felt and might say they dont like it and had never tried for some reason. I think is is a great think in so manys for anyone. I love Tristan in the video he brings a lot to the videos and can see he enjoy doing the with arron and can see Arron enjoy as well
My parents kept our meals plain. My mum would eat anything but when it came to veggies my dad would only eat raw carrots, peas, corn and beans. I was a very picky eater especially when it came to meat and vegetables. What we didn't realise was that those were the foods that caused me pain because I have crohns and it wasn't till I was an adult that we realised I am on the spectrum and had a variety of food traits. I would spend hours having to sit at the table refusing to eat because I was unable to express that it was painful to digest. About 6 years ago I decided that I was going to try a new ingredient each weak. I love the broccoli stem, cauliflower roasted with sumac, capsicum, cabbage, cucumber, celery, kumera, parsnip and they are all things I now enjoy eating. I have to have them raw which is because I have texture issues. For things like capsicum I gave to peal the skin. I've found ways around having only one metre of intestine left and my autism traits.
This is the recipe that got me to like broccoli. Fancy Broccoli, 4 pigs of chopped broccoli, 1 stick butter, 8 oz cream cheese, salt and pepper, bread crumbs on top, bake 350 for 30 min. Soften cream cheese and butter ahead of time.
I have the same texture issue as some of them, so there are 2 meals that I could recommend for start with broccoli and cauliflower. 1st is “creamy” soup, my go to ingredient (measured is by hart) are broccoli, cauliflower, potato, onions, peppers, carrots and garlic. Sauté and season all the vegetables once they are sautéed, add water, let it boil for at least 15 minutes and then process with the emergency blender. It should be somewhat thick if you want to add cream cheese or cream. My other go to is to made a sauce for the pasta or chicken. Put the cooked broccoli on the blender with some spices and a bit of cream and choose if wanted fully blended or with some bits Hope enjoy 😊 I love these series
they might like it if it's roasted since it has a crunch instead of soft ish texture, I made it roasted with knowing I didn't really like broccoli, but it totally changed my mind and I love it
Just do a broccoli and cauliflower cheese! It’s a favourite over here in the uk. Standard cheese sauce poured over the par boiled veg and then bake for 30 mins and sprinkle paprika over it and boom it’s done! One last thing though is why throw away the stalk? That’s such a waste and that can be cooked and blended down into the cheese sauce and it contains so much nutrients. Zero waste and extra healthy .
Tristan needed a mike. You can barely hear him while cooking. I think that was a win as half the kids liked it and they all tried it. I’m a texture food person myself. I also don’t like the smell of broccoli. Although I’m told a make good broccoli.
Oh Tristan! Up until now you had me.....but bacon? On this we diverge my friend. Sigh. I dated someone who bet me a 200 dollar shopping spree that I couldn't make him eat broccoli and ask for seconds. I waited about six months and made zucchini bread using blanched broccoli. I dropped some off at his work and he loved it. After work he came by and asked if I had any more of that bread and proceeded to eat the remainder of the loaf. As he was finishing the last of it, I told him it was broccoli, not zucchini in the bread. The neighbor confirmed it. He did pay up.... Fun memory!
If you ate Prime Rib that was made 40 years ago, you would have enjoyed the flavor. In the old days Prime rib was prepared the right way, with rock salt encased over the meat. No one prepares it this way anymore and it does not have the flavor.
I do not mind broccoli. Few years ago I saw someone make burnt broccoli, which does, imo, change the texture of it. I loved it more than regular broccoli. I used tons of garlic in it when i made it...maybe find a burnt brocc recipe
Luv the vlog! Just wondering if Tristan is taking over the cooking portion of beyond crazy? I noticed Aron only introduces the topics and pops in now and again. U guys r both awesome, just curious. Also, hope Joe's doing well ❤ Keep up the gr8 work!

Ohhh, what about broccoli salad? Chop uncooked florets into little pieces, add some mayo, salt, pepper, lemon juice and zest, parmesan and fresh cooked crispy bacon ❤️ Or broccoli croquettes - Cold mashed potato Shredded cheese Steamed broccoli - finely chopped Season to taste. Roll into shape, crumb, fry ❤️
I really enjoy the videos with Tristan and his food ideas me and my family love broccoli anyway prepared need to bring Trey over he would of loved it 😂
We also got to realize that every 7 years your taste buds change so they may like it later in life. Your taste buds aren't as sensitive I guess when you're older.
I LOVE broccoli chopped fine with s&p, drizzle olive oil on top, and air fry until it gets crisp. Getting it browned and crispy changes the texture quite a bit and I think its the best!
Win them over with tempura broccoli or, to completely overcome the texture, try broccoli cheddar soup that starts with a potato soup base. Never met a kid who didn’t love that! Toss on some overrated bacon and they’ll be hooked lol
Have Tristan make them some beef and broccoli using sesame oil, garlic, black pepper and oyster sauce. I bet some will change their mind. Love watching your video's...❤
LOL. Mushrooms 🤮🤢🤢🤢. I bet there is NOOO way Tristan to make them from MOLD to GOLD 😂 I've never even swallowed a bit. Now if someone offered to pay for my teeth to get fixed 😢😢😢😢 I'd eat 2 cartons until I vomited. Funny how gross equals veggies LOL
I really don’t care for broccoli, but when it is made in a broccoli cheese, soup, I like it. And like Jake, with me it’s a texture thing. I have a friend that makes a broccoli salad, also, but I really like. I just don’t like raw broccoli.
Soooooo, when’s Tristan’s cooking channel coming to UA-cam??? Cause I’m lovin all the foods y’all cook!! Love y’all! Thank you for all you do and share with us!
The Stem/Stalk part of Broccoli, if peeled, can be quite excellent in either Cream of Broccoli Soup or Broccoli Cheese Soups. I love Broccoli cooked any which way. It's good in Macraroni and Cheese or in Rice. Try it in Chinese Beef and Broccoli over Jasimine Rice.
My daughter has issues with textures of food. For some reason she loves broccoli, as long as it's soft. You could try making crispy Parmesan broccoli chips. It changes the texture of the broccoli.
I love broccoli! Although I think I have seen you have it raw in those crudité type platters, that’s not something we do here (UK) not sure I could do raw! My favourite is tenderstem broccoli, and cooked with garlic & a little chilli on in a griddle. Or regular broccoli roasted, or in a curry soaking up all the flavour. Delicious! See also Brussels! So good halved and roasted and especially with a little Marmite! 😋 Far superior to just boiling!
I love broccoli I’d eat what Tristan made… when I’m finally able to eat fresh veggies I will definitely make it like he did. I’m currently a chemo patient and can’t have fresh veggies so it’s frozen for me. But I prefer fresh. And you tomato episode was making my mouth water..lol..
Jake shouldn’t count, he said it was the texture. I would call it a success because you had several say they’d eat it with dinner!! And Aurora, she grows and matures more every video 🥹. When you asked if she’d eat with dinner, she gave you a pre-teen “are you serious mom” look, not a little girl I don’t like it look. 😆.
You should have Trey from Crazy middles on this episode. He loves broccoli😅
😂😂 yes trey
Omg yes
Yes! He has the socks for it.
Yessss
Yess

I've heard that brussel spouts are also nice with bacon but I've never tried broccoli with bacon, thanks for the idea.
Triston your cousin Trey loves broccoli. Only raw though. I think Tristan should cook broccoli for Trey. See what he thinks. Trey loves raw broccoli and eats it every day.. according to Trey on his videos.
Tristan should have his own cooking channel.
He shed have on cooking channel you are right!! 👍

Definitely thought he would have used garlic…so good! 😊
At least they tried it, and some realized it not so gross...
I call that a win win
Theine after jake didn’t like it because jake didn’t in my opinion
We are HUGE broccoli fans! We like it boiled better than steamed and we definitely salt the water. We eat it plain with passion but roasted with lemon juice is divine too.
When my daughter was a toddler, she was singing as loud as she could “I LOVE BROCCOLI!” All through the store.
Broccoli & cheese casserole, have Tristan try that. 😊
My niece told me she hated broccoli until she tried broccoli 'n cheese casserole. Now she even eats it raw with vegetable dip.
I love the broccoli and cheese casserole they serve at Cheddars Restaurant, that is ALWAYS one of my side dishes. We eat lots of broccoli at home, we steam it first, then sauté it with garlic.
Watching Tristan cooking is literally part of my happiness now. Lol

Can you do a get to know Tristan video? Does he now work with you guys? I’d love to get to know him
Is Tristan a hired cook, i know he was a foster child with you but he seems to always b in the kitchen even on the main channel
Can you make Chinese food. I would like to learn how to. Love your shows

Flatten them sprinkle the seasoning and cheese and bake them like chips maybe that would be different for them
I’m a big texture freak. Totally understandable.

I take my hat off to you sir! Getting half the kids that tried to like the broccoli and like it?! That’s a win in my book!
For the kids that have the issue with the texture try doing a pureed broccoli soup.
What about chicken and broccoli bakes? With carrots cheese sauce and chicken? . If I smother all in cheese, i can get them to eat it 😋
I LOVE broccoli but I understand Jake with the texture thing
Fry it with an egg wash❤😊 dont give up ON the broccoli just yet! Orrrr in a casserole!
I grew up eatting homemade Stir-fry beef broccoli or stir-fry chicken broccoli with rice and Sometime I make it into chow mien.
I did not like broccoli at all when I was young but now I love it.

😂 I roast my broccoli in the oven. Olive oil, garlic salt, and thyme. I have a 4 and 6 yr old both boys and they always ask for seconds.
they might like it if it's roasted since it has a crunch instead of soft ish texture, I made it roasted with knowing I didn't really like broccoli, but it totally changed my mind and I love it
I love the way Tristan called for aurora when he was ready for her to the the broccoli.. so cute
I kinda feel like this should be redone but I love the effort
Tristen knows so much about cooking.
Getting some of the kids to like it is a win really!!
Just do a broccoli and cauliflower cheese! It’s a favourite over here in the uk. Standard cheese sauce poured over the par boiled veg and then bake for 30 mins and sprinkle paprika over it and boom it’s done!

Making my husband beef and broccoli noodles while we were dating, made me start loving broccoli and now I can eat it other ways
I love how you all let you kids be kids! Aurora under the table reminds me of my child hood
I would eat that. It looks amazing.
You can turn broccoli into a tortilla and then use it in fajitas. Works really well and gets the veggies into them x
Oh Tristan! Up until now you had me.....but bacon? On this we diverge my friend. Sigh. Great technique w cutting the broccoli 🥦
lol cauliflower and broccoli cheese is a yes. You need to try that one out on the kids. It’s covered in more cream cheese
I understand Jake. I cannot tolerate green beans.
I think kids eat and like what they are taught to eat and like...
That’s not always the case. Not everyone has the same taste buds.
I think the boys should've did it separately cos there could be this thing where they react the same way because the seen the other like that haha
Brocolli stuffing. With cream of chicken, stuffing and Brocolli, bake for 35 minutes at 375
Ahhhh....prime rib!
1:29 facts
It's a win in my book because you got 3 kids who will now eat broccoli with dinner!! 🎉🥦 🎉🥦 🎉 🥦
Luv the vlog! Just wondering if Tristan is taking over the cooking portion of beyond crazy? I noticed Aron only introduces the topics and pops in now and again. U guys r both awesome, just curious. Also, hope Joe's doing well ❤
Keep up the gr8 work!
Honestly I think they should try it separately from each of their siblings. Them seeing each other’s reactions definitely influenced for they were reacting to it
Pure it. I make cheese and broccoli mash for the ones who don't like the texture.
Ohhh, what about broccoli salad?
Chop uncooked florets into little pieces, add some mayo, salt, pepper, lemon juice and zest, parmesan and fresh cooked crispy bacon ❤️
Or broccoli croquettes -
Cold mashed potato
Shredded cheese
Steamed broccoli - finely chopped
Season to taste.
Roll into shape, crumb, fry ❤️
If it’s a texture issue more than a taste, maybe broccoli cheese soup. If they prefer chunks, purée the brocoli and put it in a loaded potato soup.
Please do round twos or threes for this type of series!!! Like do different ways of cooking broccoli but all in one video
I really enjoy the videos with Tristan and his food ideas me and my family love broccoli anyway prepared need to bring Trey over he would of loved it 😂
I would choose Broccoli over Asparagus or Cauliflower every day!!!!!
We also got to realize that every 7 years your taste buds change so they may like it later in life. Your taste buds aren't as sensitive I guess when you're older.
You guys should try baked smashed broccoli parmesan with lemon vinegarette dressing
If it's a texture thing, maybe trying a cheddar broccoli soup... Orrrr, Roasted in the oven... 👍😊
I love Broccoli with cheese and Broccoli soup and I love dipping Broccoli in vegetable dip
I LOVE broccoli chopped fine with s&p, drizzle olive oil on top, and air fry until it gets crisp. Getting it browned and crispy changes the texture quite a bit and I think its the best!
Fair play to Tristan for trying but I can totally understand all the No's as I'm one of them too and totally with Jake and the texture
Win them over with tempura broccoli or, to completely overcome the texture, try broccoli cheddar soup that starts with a potato soup base. Never met a kid who didn’t love that! Toss on some overrated bacon and they’ll be hooked lol
Try making cheesey broccoli soup. Gives it a complete different texture

They would love Chicken, Broccoli, Cheese and Rice casserole with the broccoli cut up or minced up!
You shoot try broccolipizzabase. Like in the crast/ the dough. Its good
Try baking small pieces in olive oil . You can add bacon ,chopped ham, salt, shrooms...
I love broccoli any way you make it or just raw hubby on the other hand can't stand it ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
My daughter has issues with textures of food. For some reason she loves broccoli, as long as it's soft. You could try making crispy Parmesan broccoli chips. It changes the texture of the broccoli.

Of course you can change the texture! Blend it, stir fry it, boil it, roast it….??? Loads of different ways lol.
I understand the texture thing. I'm that way with goods
"Bacon is the most overrated of all meats" That's fighting talk in England! A bacon butty (aka sandwich) with brown sauce is the best thing ever!
I love to puree broccoli and put it in soup nobody knows it's in there and it's good for them
Jake shouldn’t count, he said it was the texture. I would call it a success because you had several say they’d eat it with dinner!! And Aurora, she grows and matures more every video 🥹. When you asked if she’d eat with dinner, she gave you a pre-teen “are you serious mom” look, not a little girl I don’t like it look. 😆.
Is Tristan related to Mason from Crazy Middles?? They have a similar unique look to them!
Do a pizza dough with zucchini and broccoli. That’s the best, and you blend it for the dough. It is also gluten free.
