    Thanks for watching! You can find the instructions and ingredients for this Honey & Hyaluronic Jelly Face Mask here: bberry.studio/HoneyFaceMask
    ***In this video, we incorrectly state that the lye solution will lower the pH of the face mask. We misspoke - the lye solution will raise the pH. We apologize for the mixup.***

      Hello can I substitute honeyquat with honey powder?

  • @Stylistaaaa

    FYI Sodium Hydroxide will RAISE the pH, not lower it. You need citric acid or some other acid (e.g lactic) to lower any product.

      Exactly what I was thinking!

      @lhscentedsoapsandmore Рік тому

      @@44DHernandez That's what I was thinking when she said that plus, I watch Taralee, and she always adds in citric acid 50% to distilled water 50% to lower when it's too high.

      You're completely right, sorry for the confusion! The lye solution will raise the pH, not lower it like we said in the video - we misspoke. Sorry for the confusion, and thank you for pointing that out so we can make a note in the video description! We hope you give this recipe a try.

    I have a question regarding extacts and hydrosols.
    Which is more beneficial? An Oil extract, water extract, or hydrosol?
    Are water extracts hydrosols or they are different?
    Thank you very much 💚

    • @bramble-berry
      @bramble-berry  2 місяці тому +1

      They have their own benefits and uses depending on the type of product you're making. Water soluble extracts are wonderful in toners, moisturizers, and body wash. If you recipe is anhydrous (oil only) we recommend an oil soluble extract. Hydrosols can be used in place of water in skin toners, masks, lotions, creams, shampoos, and other water-soluble cosmetics.

    Tara used 1.5% hyaluronic acid. Your texture is probable different because you added aloe vera and its electrolyte rich so it reduced the gelling factor

    Hi I love your content is it possible you could do something on sanitizing cosmetic containers and how they should be dried
    and stored (especially in large quantities) thank you

    • @bramble-berry
      @bramble-berry  Рік тому +2

      When we sanitize containers we use a 1:5 bleach water solution or 99% alcohol and then allow our bottles and utensils to drip dry after spraying or dunking them in the liquid.

    Dear I am Kuldeep from India. You have inspired me to make soap. I had a question. What is the reason why cold process soap sticks wherever it is kept after bath? Please reply and what can be done in the recipe so that it does not stick hard at different places. Where it sticks, the soap crumbles and gets spoiled.

    • @bramble-berry
      @bramble-berry  Рік тому +2

      That is natural for naturally created soap. To avoid that we recommend using a soap dish to allow the water to drain away from the bars after using them.

    Why would you use lye instead of citric acid? As a soap maker, you know how dangerous it is, which is why you had to use gloves, glasses.

      Lye is only necessary if the pH needs to be adjusted, but is required if the pH level is not between 4.5-5.5, thanks for checking.
