Back. In the day I raced. A tz250 that was so sensitive to jetting we would change mains at least once maybe twice during the same day racing, 10 degree temp change. Or change in humidity and the mix would be wrong. I got a KX250 that keeps the same jetting pretty much all season.
Tobbie Rude i just rebuilt my yz125 with less than 1 hour but when i rev it i comes out darker smoke and after it idles for about 3 mins the silencer starts dropping oil. is this too rich or a bad crank seal? because i really hope i don’t have to split the case and fix the seals
@@anthonyvu749 on some engines you dont have to split the case if it's on the left side you can take flywheel and stator off and put new seal or if it's on the right side you have to take the side cover off and take off a few gears pop the new seal in and you are done
@@DYLLY0456 any ideas if that’s possible on a rm85 if you get time please look at my Chanel I’m stuck between spark plug to much oil in the fuel or a cranks seal let go?
My 2002 250 dies if I don't give it throttle, and if I do, it stops revving at like 1/2 throttle and kind of just sits there? Does anyone know what's happening?
moist / jewfro your jet probably needs to be cleaned and clean your carb as well and try that. If it idles to low look at what he's doing, and the screw the guy in the video is turning and turn that till you get what you want
your a idiot when u pull your choke it supplies more fuel to ur carb not air dummy, so if it runs good with the choke on it means ur lean, so turn the air screw clockwise to richen it up. fucking ppl on the internet that talk like they know what they are talking about pisses me off , so many ppls bikes prob blow up because of shit information on here.
Your running too rich. You need to tighten that fuel screw until your bike runs more consistently. No sputtering or popping. It also seems like you might need a new o ring for your fuel/air screw. It seems unstable. Also! That is alot of smoke. If it smells sort of sweet. Not like gas exhaust!? You do have a blown head gasket. My guess is its been dissapearing and your not sure why steam is comming out of your radiator. Your close to blowing up your head if that's the case.
Thats classic crank case seal leak.

Does it do that until like half throttle in 1st to second gear at least?
Can anyone help why is it that I'm driving my rm and when I'm going through the gears it doesn't seem to be picking up any speed
Clutch slipping
That grip on the right works wonders...

This is the best video I have seen on UA-cam in a while. Thanks for sharing.
I think you're fucking with the idle screw
that knocking in your engine is your power valve. Its broke and the piston is clipping against it. Did it to mine.
Mine does the same, will it wreck the piston after awhile?
its a knocking in your head - there is no knocking sound here
@@labasrytas2876 probably right. It did sound way better after removing the broken power valve. But a 2 stroke is a 2 stroke!
Your crank seal on the clutch side seems to be sucking in motor oil. My rm 125 had really rich dark smoke. Try replacing the seal. It's fairly easy.

Did you find the problem
Is that a 99 with a pwm carb?
Pwk probably
Is running rich good?
Well its better than running lean but you lose power when running too rich
Crank seals shot out bro,
Bro can my 4 stroke runs rich and nobody seems to be talking about it on 4 stroke can it be crank seals?
How you guys name that screw, need one on mine yz250!
Air/fuel screw
Air screw for 2 stroke and fuel screw for 4 stroke
YZ250 1999?

Luke Zachary I got it to run alright with the choke on, idles too. But it only runs with the choke on now.

my recommendation for u Luke Zachary is to shut the hell up when u dont know what the hell ur talking about, try that.
The air screw is almost all the way in already. Guess I have a different problem then?

Looks like blown crank seal
Its not a fuel screw, its an air screw. Turning it in would make it more rich
Your burning coolant. Replace head rings i bet one is blown
You need to rejet.
