Faron played many of our shows and he was a dear friend thru the years, sad to lose him
Fantastic steel guitar and song Al UK
Love Faron,he was a good friend to my husband and did a real generous thing for him and for that he will never be forgotten. Bless you Faron, you are so loved. Widow of KenAllen

There are a ton of stories about Faron's generosity.
Live Fast, Love Hard: The Faron Young Story by Diane Diekman it's a good read.
Thanks great
Another Faron treasure many thanks
what a fantastic number from the late great faron young.country as it should be greattttttttttttttt.
the best no one can sing this as good as Faron.
They say faron young, marty Robbins, and roy orbison are the three untouchable voices
Good upbeat song
Great song from another one of my favorites. What a shame we don't have entertainers like he was today instead of the "pop" sound. Thanks for posting.
I'm with you on the Lloyd Green comment! We wish! Maybe you might be able to find enough of his recordings to do such a thing
Had to listen again to share; always great to hear!
This has to be the most insane steel intro/turnaround I've ever heard, even for Lloyd! He outdid himself on this one. Great song!!
Lloyd nailed it, certainly. This song feels off-the-rails fast to me, though. Imagine it as a shuffle at about an "Apartment #9" tempo.
Lloyd Green had to be one of the all time great steel guitar players. I always enjoy hearing him play.
Another great Faron Song. Thanks for sharing .
Awesome sauce, toe taptastic
I kept forgetting to ring that darn bell! Sorted now many thanks for all the great music you keep sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Also on the cd player in my old truck i can create the Lloyd Green intro endless loop effect perfectly and have,,,,,,, more than once.
Just hit the track back button the second before Faron's vocal starts and I'm off,,, like the crazy person I am !!
It was already on UA-cam but this one is cleaner.
GREAT stuff here
miss u Faron
Fantastic stuff. Love this, not like the rooter-tooter crap coming out now. Sure wish we had true country sounds like this not the goat roper sex shows we are subject to today.
I'm not sure exactly what a goat roper sex show is, but i enjoyed reading it and i'm pretty sure i agree. LOL.
Nice wordsmithery there.
What ever happened to a good singer and a good band standing there and entertaining anyway?
Young people need and want a million distractions to go with their music i guess.
I googled goat roper sex show and i think you better copyright it.
It's an original.
Goat ropers are the big dummys who wear 20 gallon hats and big pointy toe boots and stand around trying to look like their cool but never ever been next to a horse. Never ever heard what real country sounds like, but they have to try to impress some girl with her but cheeks hanging out of her short shorts which also never heard a real country sound or singer, who listens to some bozo that can't pronounce his lyrics plain who also can't dress himself in anything but raggedy clothes with holes, and the band looks worse
grammaidaho Got it. I don't know why i'm just now seeing this. The old UA-cam comments system was better.
Four In The Morning was one of his best
I used to agree with your comment but since following Faron on UA-cam we have to admit there are so many almost undiscovered truly great songs that he covered. Four In the Morning was the one that triggered me off becoming a fan of the Sherrif and the first one I learned to sing due to his clear interpretation of songs
Very Good!! Thank you John!
What a great discography! Thanks.
Yea, some heavy hitters in that session and Lloyd Green just kickin' butt on that steel !!
Just to keep the record straight, those listed were the players for the entire Mercury SR-61359 "It's Four In The Morning" album, which was recorded over three sessions from Sept 23, 1971 and wrapping with two sessions on Sept 28th..
That's the way Faron usually did it over the years, he'd come in and knock out an album in three sessions over 2 or 3 days.
I doubt there were many false starts or retakes because Faron literally NEVER wandered off key, broke meter, or made mistakes of any kind musically.
Real stuff🎤🎸🎻🎼😉
sing me back home
thx, 2packs4sure!
Who is the man standing with Faron at 1:00 ? , he looks so familiar, but I can not for the life of me place him, thanks for any help, oh, by the way, Love the Steel intro, the best.
Oh man,,,, i wish you'd asked me that 3 years ago............... Can't remember.
Sorry machenderson,,,, I remember reading the guys name years ago when i grabbed the pic off of some website but it's lost to me now...
HEY, i just looked down one comment and UA-camr BeMisty says Marty Wendell and she' 100% right.
