Time For The Animals to Get OUT!

- We have had the egg laying chicken flock in the barn for the past month. Even though they have access outside we are ready to move them out full time and back into the mobile chickshaws. It is also time to move some of our sows out of the farrowing barn and back into the sow pen. Our kunekune piglets are 8 weeks old so it is time to wean them and give the sows a break! The weather has been fantastic this week and we are hoping spring is right around the corner!

Still winter here in Oregon. Can’t wait to see spring. Nice to see the Boss.
Can’t wait for spring. Feel that way every year!!
It’s good to see da boss 😁 Look at all those beautiful eggs ❤

Love the Kune Kunes absolutely precious... Great video
Thank you
That's the same way we do. Do not wash. We are still not getting very many eggs yet. It keeps getting cold, and they dont like that. Good move. I'm glad to see your beautiful wife out with you. It takes the whole family to work right. God bless you, your family, and farm. ❤️

What is the temperature there in Tennessee? Here in Akron, Ohio our high today (2/5/25) is supposed to be 31 degrees with freezing rain starting tonight. I so what to see the warmth and sunshine. On another topic: There was a piglet in with its momma still that has like a black ring around its right eye (I believe). I am calling it Ringo, but no idea if it is a girl or a boy. If its a girl I probably should change its name. It would be awesome to see each individual piglet in like a portrait show. I love that you moved the hutches for the chickens out next to the barn. I was wondering after the lime to get rid of the ammonia smell, will you do a power wash down of the room and then lay down lime before putting more straw or hay or shavings (can't recall what you used) to have it set up and ready to go if needed right away? With this weather lately, I just think Spring is trying to come but Winter may rear up again for a final blow out before letting it actually come. Love watching your channel and finding information out. Love how God has blessed you and your family and making the change for your lives.
Appreciate you following along. It has been in the 60’s this week but I’m sure it will cool down soon. Grew up in Michigan so I understand those long winters.
You don’t have issues with predators getting your chickens?
We have lost probably 4 chickens in 5 years so not to bad
