Hello Paul nice demo, Mine just arrived , did you have to re-assign your button configuration in MSFS or in the VPforce FFB Configurator software? Cheers.

I use the button configuration options in XP12 and MsFS, just like any other joystick. I use the VPForce configurator software to tune the force feedback sttings.

thats great. Very tempted to order. Have you tried it in DCS? Works well?

Yes, it works fine in DCS, I think it was enabled for that before MsFS. Not working for xPlane yet, unfortuantely. I'd heard that xpForce can drive it in xPlane, but haven't had any success with it yet.
I'm still a Newbie with DCS, never really got into like other flight sims, I'm still wrestling with control assignments, but it certainly drives the stick with all movements.

Is MSFS supports now second screen support for gauges?

I'm not sure if it does, but that lower screen was being driven by another addon program called "Air Manager", which works with MsFS and xPlane.

I see you have H6 too. If you had to give up the platform motion or the FF which would it be? (I have a GT Omega Prime and plan on adding RSMega+ motion to it but considering options of this or the FFBeast)

      A tricky question to answer....
I guess it would reluctantly be the FF, because that's only for joystick aircraft and helicopters, whereas the DOF platform gives me immersion in all aircraft and driving sims too (and rollercoaster etc).
I've 'downgraded' my H6 back to an H3 again since doing this video, because I find it gives virtually the same overall impression of movement but is much easier to climb aboard, without the 6 DOF 'turrets' restricting side to side and rearward adjustments.

Mate I'm running a full motion system from Eracing, the stall buffet, positive/negative G feelings, engine vibration not to mention pitch, roll and heave are beyond words. I'm on the waiting list for the VPForce, my number gets called in a few weeks so I'll also be able to provide some feedback. RSMega all the way 😊

So how does it compare with that Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback joystick?

    • @ShorebasePaul
      @ShorebasePaul 2 місяці тому

It's in a completely different league Raymond.
The forces are musc stronger and more detailed.
I still have my trusty Sidewinder Pro, a very well made and much underated joystick, but unfortunately the force feedback no longer works properly with MsFS or XP12.
I paid for the third party addon software FsForce, but it just gives a steady rythm of jerks, with no connection to the sims. I tried emailing the author, but never got a reply.

How much does it cost thx

The ready made version costs around 1,000 GBP, but it is also available much cheaper as a kit of electrical parts where you have to 3D print the plastic components.
