I just received mine, today (4/20/22) and I’m loving it!! Nice weight, such a nice sound, love the satin finish bell…Can’t wait to play it at our next gig!!
👍 I don't see why not. After all, Trent is a prolific musician. If I can I play the violin, mandolin and ukulele, certainly Trent can learn to play any one of those too. 👌 😊 🎸🎻 🎵
@@christophertsiliacos8958 Last time I tried the violin I had a hard time figuring out where to insert the mouthpiece. I got there in the end, and I can confidently say I'm not much of a violinist.
@DECLAN DOUGAN Mike is actually a Crucaders alum, so the acronym for his horns having the same abbreviation as the crucaders is no coincidence. He just came up with a name with the same initials as sort of an homage to boston.
I just got back into playing brass after about a 15-20 year hiatus from the Baritone horn. I bought a trumpet, but was just given a free trombone. I was wondering if you know anything about HN White King 2-B Liberty Trombones? The serial number dates it 1946-1947. It is in pretty great condition and the slide moves effortlessly. I would appreciate if you might be able to tell me something useful about it. The arpeggios sound in tune that I’ve tried.
2:30 As a trombone player, this can never be overstated. I feel what makes or breaks a trombone is the slide. BAC slide design is called "Escape Velocity". Methinks the owner is a huge Top Gun fan, but my goodness!!! The name for their slide design is freaking spot on! BAC needs to have a place on their site to just purchase their slides. They'd make a killing.
I own one, and have had it for about 3 years. Unfortunately i’m not a fan, it has not held up well at all. Looking towards the Jupiter XO 1632 for my next horn!
Hi Trent. I've been enjoying your channel for some time now. Many thanks for these. I have been looking for a video you did once in which "I think" you talked about trumpet 1st valve triggers. Do you recall this, and if so, could you point me to the particular video?
I played one of their bass trombones at a trombone event called trombonopolis and that slide was like butter in a pan that was by far the best slide I have slid this man isn’t joking
If you check back some of his previous vids you might see the Rotary Cornet video and the song at the end is the same melody as the one in this video. ‘Grand Russian Fantasia’ I believe.
Are you sure this horn was made in their KC custom shop? I’d heard that these “artist” models are made in China. The actual BAC horn that Elliot Mason plays costs $5,000+.
I wouldn’t mind learning how to play the trombone, but I only read music in the treble clef. Unless I can learn to play the trombone like I play the slide whistle - by ear -I'll have to pass.
As the current owner of that exact trombone, (only model in Australasia!) it's quite cool to see a professional review it!

Is "All about the string family" in the works?
Percussion. Every instrument is a percussion instrument if you have the courage to try it.

@@Metal-Possum I'll take that as an attempt at humor, and move on.
I saw BAC and I was thinking "Boston Area Crusaders" from drum corps international
@DECLAN DOUGAN Like their own line of instruments? 😂

Awesome vid dude! Love the content! Keep up the good work
It has a wonderful sound to it! I have heard some trombones with a dull tone, but this one didn't have that at all!
very warm sound! love it!!
you have grown that beard awful fast
I'm sure this was recorded before his livestream a few days ago

It's a highly regarded trombone. I'd love to get my hands on one someday. Suitable for jazz lead or other high parts.
@@TrentHamilton Thank you, I appreciate it
Looks and sounds a fine instrument
The link for us in the Unitedstatesofamericaland says the horn is out of stock already. Quite the salesman, Trent!
Rose brass bells always look soooo beautiful :)

It makes me wonder whether it's a little too easy to reach 8th position, if you catch my drift.
It has a nice finish!

Is there an F-Attatchment version?
No, as you can see

Know Mike !!!! We're right here in Kansas City Missouri!!!
I want one of those!
It looks so cool
It's a real treat that you're doing BAC instruments. They are from my home state!

Parts are supplied by China, and then assembled and finished in KC, as far as I know.
@@TrentHamilton That sounds right. Thanks for the clarification. Looks like. great horn.
@@TrentHamilton HOW far do you know it??
The horn my favourite player Elliot mason plays was custom made for him this is not custom
I keep wanting to call it the Missy Elliott trombone.
