- Want to see how my Yeast-Free Gluten-Free Vegan Bread recipe did with a store-bought GF flour mix with xanthan gum? Watch this video to find out! The test was simple. I replaced the flours and starches in the recipe while keeping everything thing else the same. RECIPE: www.freshisreal.com/yeast-fre... #yeastfreebread #yeastfree #glutenfreevegan #glutenfreebread #veganbread
TIP: if you ever try it, consider omitting the whole psyllium husk in my recipe to reduce the stickiness when baking with Bob's Red Mill GF 1 to 1 Baking Flour.

Here's the link to the Yeast-Free GF Vegan Bread recipe if you would like to give it a try: www.freshisreal.com/yeast-free-gluten-free-vegan-bread/
I’m not wanting anything but to raise awareness ❤️ I am lactose intolerant and have always had problems with xanthan gum related products! And I just want to say, xanthan gum isn’t vegan hun! I just found out yesterday!!☹️😫😭 an excerpt from Wikipedia;
A strain of X. campestris has been developed that will grow on lactose - which allows it to be used to process whey, a waste product of cheese production. This can produce 30 g/L of xanthan gum for every 40 g/L of whey powder. Whey-derived xanthan gum is commonly used in many commercial products, such as shampoos and salad dressings.[15]
Wow, super helpful 🙏🏾❤ thank you
Love your channel! You cover many things others don't. You have wonderful recipes too!
Thank you so much, Melodee!
It looks wonderful and perfect 😍👍 thanks 🌼
Thank you for watching! ;)
@@FreshisReal your welcome 🌹
Awesome experiment!
Thanks, Janet! Hope that you're doing well! ;)
"Without" is spelled incorrectly in your thumbnail. Surprised no one had mentioned it yet!
Thanks, TR! That's funny but not so funny! I'll fix it asap! The perfect example of when you look at something for too long at times you miss obvious typos such as this one!
@@FreshisReal It happens to all of us. I only seem to catch those errors when someone comments on my comments (and I'm able to edit) nowadays.
I noticed mini loaf pans are recommended in the recipe - may I ask if modifications need to be made to use the larger regular sized ones? I would really like to try your recipe today (not sure you'll see this soon) and don't have access to smaller pans :) thanks
Hi! I'm not sure if you tried it with one average size bread pan. The size of the bread pan if baking the dough as one loaf is listed in the recipe post. It's 7.5×3.5 inches. Recipe: www.freshisreal.com/yeast-free-gluten-free-vegan-bread/
@@FreshisReal The pans I have are 5.25 x 9 inches...sorry I didn't mention that earlier. I kept going over the recipe but as you mentioned below - sometimes we look and look at something and miss it! These pans should work then...I've bought different sizes of things I thought I'd use over and over so wanted to work with something I had :) thanks
@@trish3580 If you're pan is larger your loaf might bake up a little flatter. Smaller pans encourage the little bit of rise that you will get with the GF baking powder. It will still work with a larger pan ;)
I am searching for an Almond bread 🍞 recipe eggless using Xanthan Gum please please please I can't find one am pleading for one 😢 🙏
You would like to bake bread with almond flour? Any other ingredients? No eggs. You don't need xanthan gum to make almond bread. Let me know so I can guide you in the right direction. You can search Pinterest for Egg-Free Almond Bread. You should find many ;)
@@FreshisReal Hi thanks for your reply and yes I only want to make an eggless Almond bread 🍞 and I wanted to use it with the Xanthan Gum because I have it already and I need to use it as I don't want it to waste plus I don't have anything else to use it with. As for the other ingredients you asked those should be whatever else is needed to make a good Keto almond bread just don't want to use eggs in it. Also I need a demonstration on how exactly I am doing everything like mixing or kneading as well as proofing and how long to leave it for and the baking time etc. Thank you in advance. Am not on Pinterest sorry.
What is xanthum gum used for? Not ok for peeps with gut problems ? Thx ☺️
Hi! It's often used in gluten-free baking to stick things together, create a more consistent product and to improve the texture of bread. That's why many GF bakeries use this additive. I find it can be ok in smaller quantities or makes things way too gummy if too much is added. If you're working on healing any sort of gut issues, try to avoid it if you can.
@@FreshisReal thx!
Hemp milk is replaced with what ?
Hemp milk was added to both versions.
Isn’t xanthan gum dangerous for gut issues
Hi! Anyone with gut issues should avoid any added ingredients that are not beneficial to their health for sure! Many with food sensitivities don't digest products with added gums. Xanthan gum is in a lot of GF foods. You can avoid xanthan gum by baking things yourself at home with ingredients that are safe and better for you. ;)
