I usually try to push one main build as far as I can in every game for the challenge of mastering one play style even if it’s not the most efficient for a certain situation.
@@CursiveS The worst part for me (aside from the OP-INTENSIFY related issues obviously) was what they did to energy and heat management. Your energy recovered so slowly in Nexus that using anything above a basic laser rifle was a really bad idea, and even then, you couldn't really have a mobile fighting style unless you wanted to risk melting yourself. LR was better with this, but they also decided to throw in some of the cheapest 1V1 fights since the days of the Master Arena.
For real LOL. Man’s just wanted to live to see the sun again but his partners got too cocky. He had the most brutal defeat too, I slapped him up with my laser blade 😂

@@CursiveS To be honest this game give me nothing more but frustration, nerve recking enthusiasm and rage quit intentions, but glad that i beat and I haven't deleted the game file ever since. For me the hardest missions were always the one with Ac fights, escort missions and jumping through platforms with extreme accuracy.
Heard dude, this iteration tested my patience more than any other AC title. I took a break against regular Nineball for a week. and beating Nineball Seraph in my latest video literally pushed me harder than anything I’ve ever dealt with in ANY game I’ve played, and I’ve played a lot of tough shit. Took me over 18 hours of gameplay to win that. But man, the dopamine when I beat Nineball both of those times was unbelievable, and I got way better at AC thanks to it.
I always had more issue with the first Nineball fight tbh. I mostly use a lightweight just packing the Karasawa, the 40 count rocket and a blade and usually finish well before my ammo gets low... hilariously, I think I used my rockets the most past few times.
I was lucky to be stoked up on cash thanks to porting my AC 2 save over but yeah missions like this I can come close to just breaking even LOL. Thanks for watching :)!
MGSAW is the best one easily. Low damage, like 65 per hit, but easy to overheat your enemies with thanks to the crazy lockbox. My FCS is the best sideways one as well, so I can pretty much focus all my energy into dodging and movement while showering them with firepower. Def give it a shot if you ever play Gen 2! I beat every single gen 2 mission and arena match except maybe 3 missions. Thanks a lot for checking out the video! 😇🎉
FromSoft had such an amazing sound designer for AC, from the effects to the music. The man’s a genius, so many iconic sounds I couldn’t imagine anything sounding any different than what it is. That’s legit what got me started with turning this into an edit! AC2 + Another Age are the best Armored Core games. I've been into AC since 97 when the 1st game hit the US PlayStation. The PS1 games are also favorites of mine. AC3 and on just lost too much.... Human+ and overweight reward. The games became overly balanced for competitive play (but CPUs could still have!?) AC2 Another Age is my favorite AC game of them all.... such good-looking parts + exciting gameplay! The Link Vs arenas on it are badass.... it's got that Etal Base 😎👍

I knew about this mission from Vaatividya and dreaded getting up to it. Tried out those Decoys.... I now have seen the errors of my ways. These things freakin slap. I'm proud to say I did this within somewhere of 10 tries and with 74 AP left to spare. AND despite it being all missiles, I still had shoulder missile weapon with full ammo. AND..... I profited from the mission despite all those missiles I did use and damage I took.
The decoys are so underrated man, glad this turned you onto them! They’re way more reliable than the core’s built-in AMS imo. Saved my skin in a lot of fights throughout the series. Thanks for watching :)
LOL I have to give my thanks to all my attempts at "Marche Au Supplice" on Hard Mode from AC4 for preparing me for this moment. I barely scraped through this mission, but it made it all the more exciting when I got the win 🤣
@@CursiveS I think for this specific fight they have lower health. It was definitely noticeable going from AC2 to AA that enemy ACs are significantly tankier. Silent Line has some real tanky ACs too compared to 3 but they tended to be easier since the grenade launcher/added heat weapons usually took them out.
@kylele23 Yeah probably after finishing the rest of AC 2: AA, some of the 1v2s and 1v1s made it feel like those guys actually had full AP because they ate blasts and laser blades. Like the final mission where you fight 1 AC and then 2 at the end definitely felt like they had full AP.

I hated this mission. So my build had tank legs, (edit) [light core with high optional parts], a head with high AP, quick turn extension, and the grenade launcher arms with dual plasma cannons and that's how I beat it. I died like 50 times. I recommend killing the quad leg AC first.
Yeah the Quad legged AC always tended to be the easiest to kill. At this point when I was playing, I had played through all of First Gen and AC2 with just machine guns and rifles, so I was super familiar with my play style by this point. I think it took me 5 tries to get these guys.
This mission isn't actually that bad. If you pull back a lot of the time only 1 or 2 will follow. The guy with the bazooka runs out of ammo very fast and then does pretty much nothing, allowing you to pick everyone apart.
@CursiveS Oh it's definitely a fun mission. Sometimes I go out of my element and just engage all three at once to see how I stack up when they're all ganging up on me.

Yo for real, Heaven’s Blaze kept having her brain shut off at random points LOL, especially after I downed her buddies. Yeah Pendulum despite piloting this bulkier build loved just constantly gaining altitude whenever I stayed locked-on him for too long LMAO, hate it when ACs pull that. Thanks for watching!!
I remember that mission! I cleared it not too long ago, I might have the footage of it still. I used that upper balcony to my advantage and tried to bait him to use the drones while I was on the balcony and out of sight of their other weapons. I think that drone launcher has a very limited number of uses. You could bring an energy shield too while you’re baiting him to tank the shots, or you could OB around the balcony while the drones follow you to waste their duration. For a mission like this one, OB and breaking lines of sight and using cover was what pushed me into a win. I’ll OB to try and force one of them into some 1v1 action and then OB again if it gets too crazy. Heaven’s Blaze and Pendulum has weapons that you can dodge pretty consistently if you keep them at range. Her missiles are a pain but I’m pretty sure they’re rather limited in ammo, so using the cover to eat the missiles or decoys helped me tank her ammo count with them. @@CursiveS I ended up doing the same thing, using the balcony to bait drones. I'd use an ecm internal to try to throw off the big guys missiles, then take pot shots at him when he flew up. Slowly wore em out. Finished sub 1000 ap. Shit was tough!
Props to you, that’s awesome congrats on the win!! Nothing is more exciting to me than beating a mission with such low AP, I turn on the hyperfocus whenever I get that low in a fight. It’s so nice too because it’s like “I can finally move on to a new mission after all those tries.” My next video I’m working on was a crazy hard mission I finished with like 250AP and I was sweating damn BULLETS LOL. Screamed when I saw the guy’s AC go up in smoke🤣🤣🤣
Hahahahah dude the laser blades have been saving my life in this game time and time again, it’s been crazy fun and satisfying learn to use them. Pretty much every AC-involved mission during the last half of this game has only been doable with it’s help, otherwise I run out of ammo and am left a sitting duck 🤣🤣 and the quick turn extension on top of it, is a chief’s kiss of an addition to my main-stay build here. @@CursiveS It's a great video. I myself play Armored core 3 and Silent Line, but I never got the hang of laser blades. It's usually a howitzer or napalm on my left arm for some close range destruction
I missed out on Gen 3 completely as a kid, part of why I’m so eager to finish up Gen 2 here. Can’t wait to see what the next line has in store for me! I messed around with the flamethrower, blade, and a lightweight build in AC 2’s arena and man was that fun to try out. I got my start forcing myself to blade in Gen 1 since my rifle would run out of ammo constantly in missions LOL. Gen 2 has wayyyyy better laser blade response in comparison, it was a task and a half landing a hit in Gen 1😭
Try claw grip if you aren’t using it already. I pretty much have a finger on every button, and then my pointer jumps from X to square, and my middle finger jumps from triangle to circle. I’ve been replaying the series and it took me from AC1 to AC master of arena before I got a solid foundation of the controls LOL. And even then, AC2 and AC AA really refined my weak points with certain missions/arena fights that pushed me.
LMAO you should of seen my gameplay throughout a lot of Generation 1, could barely aim and turn for a long time. it took a lot of gameplay with a pretty similar build to get here. I used basically only rifles and MGs, Reverse Joints and relatively speedy and energy efficient build from AC1 to AC3. I’ve played them all pretty much back to back up to this point. Did all the arenas and a lot of the extra arenas in MOA. Learning to OB really helps with the more difficult missions like this one or the Nineball missions, repositioning and resetting your enemies can be a game changer.
Nothing wrong with that, you have sooooo many games to choose from with this series. Sometimes I would put down the one I’m working on and take a break with a different one to mix it up.
I think it’s going to be awesome tbh. More parts, more moves, better maps, better missions, better everything. They’re making this game when FromSoft is without a doubt at the peak of their success and profit so they’re gonna have a tonnnn of cash to put into developing this. Plus this series is the first series Miyazaki had directed for the company so I think he has a huge soft spot for the series, so i think the team he has for this is gonna have a lot of love and passion for this release. I’m so excited!!
Reverse joint legs, quick turn extension, turning optional part, and lots of practice with this build LOL. RJs in my experience always have the best balance on stats, so balanced that they usually just excel in stats overall without any noticeable drawbacks. At worst they have higher EN Drain than bipedals but it’s always worth the investment for the performance they provide. I’ve pretty much been running this build or just a rifle instead of an MG from AC2 all the way up to this mission here.
Yeah I can be just barely under overweight if I use the heavy weight rj legs. Maybe I need to drop energy weapon powerup or something and just go with fire speed. I do have pulse laser + kawasawa + one single missile thing (I want to fire those fast but I don't want to drain the ammo or fire off a lot of shots at once you know it's for airborne or pesky moving targets) For whatever reason my Human+ didn't carry over from my original AC2 save. Gotta... IDK redo a whole cheat save I guess. Not even going through that shit manually and beating the game more than once. No. lol
That’s how my build sits with those RJs I’m using in the video, I’m pretty much just 100 or so weight under overweight LOL. I take a hit on my radiator, using something lighter and less efficient in order to have dual ammo pods on my shoulders. Yeah if I ever use an EN weapon, I’ll swap my core to the lightweight one with 21 OP slots, and then I can usually run reduced EN from firing weapons, the power up part, turn radius, and a damage reducing one. Might be able to use the range OP part too if I sacrifice the damage reducing parts, it’s been a while since I’ve tried my EN fit for this build LOL. I give you and everybody else that runs EN weapons props, even missiles. I cannot get results with them myself 😭 And yeah screw that LOL, I’m replaying through all the games in order and now that I’m done with AC2, that’ll sit until I wanna run everything back with H+ on my builds.
Funniest strategy I’ve ever seen on this mission. 1000 round machine gun with two ammo packs on your back. Them radiators never stood a chance and that short yellow blade is incredible 🤌🏽

Nexus didn't ruin anything, heat mechanic was bullshit, which was fixed in Last Raven. OP-I thing in Last Raven, however...

Nah frankly I didn’t have a tough time with it. I think I got the win in like 3 or 4 runs here. Was a really fun win to get.

I found it weird how the machine gun tracked with the FCS, however some hits didn’t register. That’s no good.
Hahaha dude I’m so used to using that gun and just letting the bullets fly it’s something I never noticed. Definitely made the fight for interesting because of that thanks to having to straight up sword some of my enemies down 😂

Yo for real, Heaven’s Blaze kept having her brain shut off at random points LOL, especially after I downed her buddies. Yeah Pendulum despite piloting this bulkier build loved just constantly gaining altitude whenever I stayed locked-on him for too long LMAO, hate it when ACs pull that.

Jesus, I was struggling with the two in the arena, with the orbital drones and dual missiles.

I remember that mission! I cleared it not too long ago, I might have the footage of it still. I used that upper balcony to my advantage and tried to bait him to use the drones while I was on the balcony and out of sight of their other weapons. I think that drone launcher has a very limited number of uses. You could bring an energy shield too while you’re baiting him to tank the shots, or you could OB around the balcony while the drones follow you to waste their duration.
For a mission like this one, OB and breaking lines of sight and using cover was what pushed me into a win. I’ll OB to try and force one of them into some 1v1 action and then OB again if it gets too crazy. Heaven’s Blaze and Pendulum has weapons that you can dodge pretty consistently if you keep them at range. Her missiles are a pain but I’m pretty sure they’re rather limited in ammo, so using the cover to eat the missiles or decoys helped me tank her ammo count with them.

@@CursiveS I ended up doing the same thing, using the balcony to bait drones. I'd use an ecm internal to try to throw off the big guys missiles, then take pot shots at him when he flew up.
Slowly wore em out. Finished sub 1000 ap. Shit was tough!
Props to you, that’s awesome congrats on the win!! Nothing is more exciting to me than beating a mission with such low AP, I turn on the hyperfocus whenever I get that low in a fight. It’s so nice too because it’s like “I can finally move on to a new mission after all those tries.” My next video I’m working on was a crazy hard mission I finished with like 250AP and I was sweating damn BULLETS LOL. Screamed when I saw the guy’s AC go up in smoke🤣🤣🤣

They do, saved my ass a lot in 2nd Gen! But they decoys have to be in between you and the missiles or they’ll lock onto you still.

Hahahahah dude the laser blades have been saving my life in this game time and time again, it’s been crazy fun and satisfying learn to use them. Pretty much every AC-involved mission during the last half of this game has only been doable with it’s help, otherwise I run out of ammo and am left a sitting duck 🤣🤣 and the quick turn extension on top of it, is a chief’s kiss of an addition to my main-stay build here.

@@CursiveS It's a great video. I myself play Armored core 3 and Silent Line, but I never got the hang of laser blades. It's usually a howitzer or napalm on my left arm for some close range destruction
I missed out on Gen 3 completely as a kid, part of why I’m so eager to finish up Gen 2 here. Can’t wait to see what the next line has in store for me! I messed around with the flamethrower, blade, and a lightweight build in AC 2’s arena and man was that fun to try out. I got my start forcing myself to blade in Gen 1 since my rifle would run out of ammo constantly in missions LOL. Gen 2 has wayyyyy better laser blade response in comparison, it was a task and a half landing a hit in Gen 1😭

Try claw grip if you aren’t using it already. I pretty much have a finger on every button, and then my pointer jumps from X to square, and my middle finger jumps from triangle to circle.
I’ve been replaying the series and it took me from AC1 to AC master of arena before I got a solid foundation of the controls LOL. And even then, AC2 and AC AA really refined my weak points with certain missions/arena fights that pushed me.
This just proves I suck at this game. Which is why I like it. Because its hard.
LMAO you should of seen my gameplay throughout a lot of Generation 1, could barely aim and turn for a long time. it took a lot of gameplay with a pretty similar build to get here. I used basically only rifles and MGs, Reverse Joints and relatively speedy and energy efficient build from AC1 to AC3. I’ve played them all pretty much back to back up to this point. Did all the arenas and a lot of the extra arenas in MOA. Learning to OB really helps with the more difficult missions like this one or the Nineball missions, repositioning and resetting your enemies can be a game changer.
I only got this game. Ima hunt down the rest because im tired of beating the rest of thr games I have.
Nothing wrong with that, you have sooooo many games to choose from with this series. Sometimes I would put down the one I’m working on and take a break with a different one to mix it up.

I think it’s going to be awesome tbh. More parts, more moves, better maps, better missions, better everything. They’re making this game when FromSoft is without a doubt at the peak of their success and profit so they’re gonna have a tonnnn of cash to put into developing this.
Plus this series is the first series Miyazaki had directed for the company so I think he has a huge soft spot for the series, so i think the team he has for this is gonna have a lot of love and passion for this release. I’m so excited!!

Reverse joint legs, quick turn extension, turning optional part, and lots of practice with this build LOL. RJs in my experience always have the best balance on stats, so balanced that they usually just excel in stats overall without any noticeable drawbacks. At worst they have higher EN Drain than bipedals but it’s always worth the investment for the performance they provide. I’ve pretty much been running this build or just a rifle instead of an MG from AC2 all the way up to this mission here.
Yeah I can be just barely under overweight if I use the heavy weight rj legs.
Maybe I need to drop energy weapon powerup or something and just go with fire speed. I do have pulse laser + kawasawa + one single missile thing (I want to fire those fast but I don't want to drain the ammo or fire off a lot of shots at once you know it's for airborne or pesky moving targets)
For whatever reason my Human+ didn't carry over from my original AC2 save. Gotta... IDK redo a whole cheat save I guess. Not even going through that shit manually and beating the game more than once. No. lol
That’s how my build sits with those RJs I’m using in the video, I’m pretty much just 100 or so weight under overweight LOL. I take a hit on my radiator, using something lighter and less efficient in order to have dual ammo pods on my shoulders.
Yeah if I ever use an EN weapon, I’ll swap my core to the lightweight one with 21 OP slots, and then I can usually run reduced EN from firing weapons, the power up part, turn radius, and a damage reducing one. Might be able to use the range OP part too if I sacrifice the damage reducing parts, it’s been a while since I’ve tried my EN fit for this build LOL. I give you and everybody else that runs EN weapons props, even missiles. I cannot get results with them myself 😭 And yeah screw that LOL, I’m replaying through all the games in order and now that I’m done with AC2, that’ll sit until I wanna run everything back with H+ on my builds.
Funniest strategy I’ve ever seen on this mission. 1000 round machine gun with two ammo packs on your back. Them radiators never stood a chance and that short yellow blade is incredible 🤌🏽
