Great question! Each pair would be its own FSoE connection. So in the case of 3 controllers, each one would have two FSoE connections. With larger numbers, the architecture could become complex so you may think about placing a controller that acts as the "traffic cop". The EL6910 may have up to 212 safe connections and I/O with integrated logic may have up to 128 safe connections.
