Excellent review, guys. This is another car on my list (in DSG form). Looks very solid and sounds refined from your film. It's a very solid little car. Not sure I'd buy one in the Monte Carlo trim, but it's one of those great do everything cars.
You nailed it - it's a lot of car for the money. Of course, we would always pick the Monte Carlo - especially with that 1.5L :) *A
I drove one of these around the Millbrook Proving Ground Alpine Circuit last year, albeit with a less powerful engine, and I was genuinely surprised how well it handled, so I imagine this one is even better!

Some car this in this spec 😊 what a great combo 150 bhp & dsg box 👍Skoda always add the little extra touches..umbrella..ice scraper! Some very good rapport with you 2 during the road trip 😅 all in all a very enjoyable review of a very good offering from Skoda Planet Auto 🚘 🎉

I do love the Monte Carlo and I'm looking at it for my next car but the fly in the ointment is the Polo GTI for only $2000 (1000 GBP) more in Australia. On the downside, the Polo is much more expensive to service at the dealer, but it has the flat loading floor which for some reason is deleted on the Fabia here. Tough decision.

We are looking at the estate version of this a freind has one on a long run he did 60mpg the car also runs in 2 cylinder mode too

I have one too ,but the 1liter TSI 95pk STYLE,that's the trim just below the monte carlo, it is a good car for the price i paid (arround 22.000 euro after discount).BUT ,the top version is 35.000 and higher and thats to much for a fabia...
It’s a fair chunk more, the way we quantify it is it’s pretty much Golf, enjoy Pascal
