    Tony Robbins has a beautiful note on this… “Don’t negotiate with yourself.” Take massive action today and when you hit resistance, do not negotiate with yourself…taking massive action is nonnegotiable. And you can apply this to everything…getting up, exercising, serving your customers with something unexpected today, all nonnegotiable.

    This advice kept me stuck for years. It's sound at heart but here's the nuance that most miss: You don't need to overcome resistance in order to take action. You can just feel it, let it be, and just take action instead.
    But what most people do when running into resistance, is to fight it, to add more energy to it, to make this imaginary force more real.
    Don't give it that power.
    Instead embrace the feeling - that's the opposite of resistance. Then it loses it's power.
    You don't overcome or beat it, you trancend it and let it go.
    Don't get me wrong. It takes time to outgrow old patterns. But you don't want to be Steven, waking up every day only to fight yourself... wake up looking foreward to what you'll create that day!

      @@MrANT-up6xt Sadly, I only have content in dutch. But here's the essence: identify with your "spirit" instead of thoughts and emotions, that's the essence of trancending. The best way to start understanding this for yourself is through first hand experience. You can get that through meditation. That will show you your own nature. From there you implement these lessons in your life and create an upward cycle of growing consciousness and mental freedom. You grow, experienxe new resistance, meditate, become aware, trancende, act, run into new resistance. Only it won't be resistance anymore, it will be opportunities for growth and mental liberation.

      Yes same as hunger. You don’t fight it and give energy, you just say I’ll eat when the time comes and go on with your activity anyways. Just like will power, the more you think there’s a limited will power in a day the more you believe it and give it power, don’t believe in it, don’t give it power. Consider it as “it’s usual, part of life, we gotta go anyways, meh”.

    Great book, great vid, important topic. Resistance will never go away, even when you beat it in certain projects. The key what you said is being aware of it. It’s war, keep it close and know it’s there. It simply comes down to everyday chipping away at your art….15min here, 30min there, eventually leads to 1hour (of deep focus time). Those chips each day earns you the badge of beating Resistance each day.

    One of the things which worked for me is to create excitement... Lack of excitement leads to procrastination... And, on top of it, I try to build habits of doing the same thing.. Habit formation+ excitement for the work helped me in reducing the resistance.

    Russell, I went from 0 to 5 in trying to Create my Music Community of learners... I wouldn't have been able to do it without my Mentor. And now again I'm stuck trying to grow this thing...     I just sat down at my laptop to start on my first task of the day. Instead of working I got swayed to come on youtube, only to watch a video about the exact action I was doing!! 🥴 I need to go back and fight the resistance! 🥊(until next time!) 🥊

    Hard work and patience. At least that's what helped me to succeed in my dropshipping business (and using a little bit of winnerzila of course. They give premium product per week of which at least three are absolute winners, and it makes my job a lot easier when everything is already prepared for me).

    Everything works in my head. I'm not sure if it's fear of failure or fear of success, but doing the work scares the poopy out of me because I may be wrong about my million dollar ideas.

    What I love about this video is that you took the time to document and show - resistance won today I am going to take a nap - rather than just tell the idea - we get to feel the pain of creating - one thing to talk yet those moments you filmed are what ground it in reality...which makes your solutions that much more believable - ie achievable...Have had the book for a long time, it's so tattered now...when resistance comes through I pay attention to the emotion of it because it's my brain and body trying to tell me something - I know this goes against what's being said slightly but creativity isn't always a straight line, it gets squiggly...and that walk that I might do because I have been focusing for a long while releases an idea and I bring my notebook so that I capture that idea when it comes, I get excited again...I acknowledge what is being asked...that nap might be needed...and as long as I am not grabbing my phone or going for a distraction - I know it's dangerous yet there is a dance between pushing and allowing a reframe, walking, taking a short nap, getting up and moving...sometimes it's good to push through yet sometimes the muse is asking you to dance with the ideas in a different way...as long as I am consistent with the ideas - getting those core three things done for the day lets say - it can be important to play with what comes forth rather than just brute force...that said this can of course be dangerous, maybe you go off the rails...yet you are only one writing session, one meal away from being back in the zone...one funnel away, one idea away, one more dog in the fight from victory so even as that danger comes up, you get up and keep on going...

    Russell B, this video and it’s message was so GOOD, authentic, and relevant to entrepreneurs! We can all bypass RESISTANCE with meditation training. The resistance is a stress response; it’s the Flight and Fright responses! Meditation training, activates another response that I call the “FREEDOM RESPONSE” that emerges when our brain waves are in a state of coherence, our Limbic brain gets down regulated, and our parasympathetic is switched on to induce relaxation. The FREEDOM response can help you enter the FLOW state; Training our brain into coherence also amplifies our RECEPTIVE brainwaves-alpha and theta waves. The most productive performance state is FLOW and its backed by gamma brainwaves; in the flow state we are totally free from FEAR or RESISTANCE-the flight and fright responses. Getting out of RESISTANCE is trainable and attainable using specific meditation methods that I teach. Shabaka Amen

    I've found that as soon as I feel the resistance, I hop into Chat GPT and start talking to it about what I'm resisting. Helps me to push through and start to get the ball rolling

    For me how I beat the Resistance is by making a list of the things I’m called to do, then prioritize the biggest domino for the day and start with that task.
    Even if I only accomplish 1 thing a day that’s a win.
    I like the saying eat the frog (hard thing) first and if there’s two frogs eat the bigger one first!
    If the Resistance (distraction) pops up then I take note of it, I laugh at it, silly Resistance, then get back to work.
    I also like JLD’s Mastery Journal where you list the thing you’re going to do, work on it for 42 minutes then take a break for 18 minutes and rate yourself on how well you did.
    I can’t wait to read your finished book on this!!

    I break the project or what ever task needs to be done and I write out the task on paper so I can see it. Then I number the task as 1 which help to visualize only one items. Then I would put the number of mins to accomplish it. Task can be call 1 lead then I put 5 mins to it. Now I dont have any else open but just the task and on paper and i would look at it. This sometime still cause resis so I put a timer on it. I would start my timer so now I have to do before the time goes off.

    Could you suggest some ways to break the pattern of increasing salary only on the basis of number of work experience in any company when we are judged by our work experience not other traits so how to earn more with less experience without being stuck in this cycle of counting years of experience to decide our worth ?? Are there any better ideas or books that would help me become financially strong i am a hvac engineer...

    When we have a big task to do before us we face resistance because it looks like so much work to our our brain. What we can do to trick our brain is to commit only to do 5 minutes of the total work. When you do that resistance will go away. Once you start the work you will end up doing alot than you think.

    Resistance is a drug I use that I"m unaware of. I have what I call hiding places for example I found myself playing 4,000 games of solitaire. That is a hiding place, then I had to find out all my other hiding places. Hiding places are the results of resistance. When I gave up the hiding places I got the book done.     A couple of things that help me:
    1. If I have to write a big text (for my content), I don't force myself to write a whole text, but I just say to myself: I'll sit down now and just write 2 sentences (it's very easy to do). And when I start writing 2 sentences I have the desire to do more.
    2. When I don't feel like doing something, I just sit on a chair, put away everything that can distract me and just sit and do absolutely nothing. And I sit like that until I'm so bored that I'm ready to get to work.

    I really needed this video and I needed right now. I now understand the state I am in, I am in a state of resistance. To help overcome it, I’m going to write the four categories of resistance in a piece of paper and make an itemized list of what they are for each category so I can recognize them as they are happening. As they are happening I will repeat to either myself, or the person through whom the reactance is manifesting, that I have to stay focused and stay on task. This was a blessing for me. Thank you. 🙏🏾
