Hi...... Jason and Lorraine and Penelope nice to see you, thank you for sharing your video homestead chicken farmer garden 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋 🐔🐓🐥🌱🎥👍👍👍
I love the idea Dwight Pierce has about a shelf for mud pies! A little step stool and some old pie tins and spoons and your sweet beautiful little girl has the perfect setup to have her own mud pie bakery. I didn’t play with dolls, I gardened with my mom, drove cars and trucks around and made mud pies, Lordy did I make a lot of them over the years! 🤣 Good memories, my own girls made mud pies too. It’s like a right of passage for little girls.
Jason, that is amazing! It's practical, inexpensive and works GREAT from what I saw with the ladies rinsing vegetables! You will go far in this homesteading lifestyle, young man! Keep up the great work and don't forget to bring us along! Blessings to you and the girls from NE Missouri!
Great video. Found a sink (just like yours) yesterday at a thrift store and getting the wood today. We're going use it for my garden veggies. We're also going to use it next week when we butcher our chickens. Thanks so much for taking the time to show your ideas. They are such a blessing.
Love it when you build stuff and keep it simple so anyone can build. Your daughter is a cutie and she loves being involved with the farm. Great family life.
Sweet, l did this too many yeas ago, it sure makes cleaning the produce easy. I placed my much smaller unit directly over the raised beds so the water and soil etc went back into the garden. If you had some piping catching that water and directing it to where you want it to go in your garden. The out feed pipe could have weep holes in it. Put some wheels on the cleaning station and off you go. Clean your produce and water the garden at the same time, win, win. Lol
those sinks are fantastic! And you know, they're going to get used for so much more than washing veggies! (washing hands after working in the dirt...washing dogs or little ones outside...just so many uses!)
Joyce Judd and the water goes where you want it, dual use rather than just down the drain-plus you save the extra hassle and mess of bringing g all this stuff inside to accomplish the same mission.
Thank you so much for making it simple enough for me to build! I anchored a cutting board on the left end and I am going to hook up the plumbing soon. Now the bugs can stay outside where they are happier.😁
Now this is a useful building video. Thank you for sharing the fittings information too. I love how. Lorain was so excited to use it she harvested some nice root crops. Oh. Your carrots that weren'tready are bigger than most of my big carrots, lol.
The ending of this one is what's all about, watching them smile and laugh. Great build. It's got my mind going with what I could throw together with what I've got laying around right now. Thanks, Jason for another great video.
Fedup of my comments not showing or only working on my phone. Second time posting this comment. This is brilliant. Thank you for sharing. Simple. Peace
BEST CARPENTER ON ALL OF UA-cam!!!!!!!! Jason you’re awesome! You make things and share things that someone like myself, who’s a simple “DIY’er,” can actually do!! And you do it with minimal expense. You’re not out spending a small fortune. This makes things so nice for folks like me with minimal budgets. You’ve been a TRUE BLESSING to my family and I really appreciate your help. Thank you! Going to go get another T-shirt now with your new design. God Bless and thanks again. ~Lisa Ok...I tried to get a T-shirt but none are showing in your t spring store. Just bags, stickers and mugs. Maybe a new campaign is about to start? I’ll check back for sure.
A w e s o m e ! I got the sink, and a stand (needs modified)...but did not think of the hardware mesh. I sure am glad I saw this before the final build! Thank-you, again!
I knew it! The pros pre-drill! I will continue and let the fools say what they may. . . Outdoor wash station is great, and you make it look do-able. Thanks for another inspiring vid!
I just happen to have a double sink with faucets/sprayer attached that we took out of our kitchen when we remodeled. THIS will be a perfect use for it. Thank you Jason!
We are heading that way in the next 6 weeks. Leaving North Cal for Mount Airy. Wanting 2 Acres for family garden. And helping my sister get her flower farm going for spring. God bless
Interest is HIGH on your content. Subscribed. I hate investing time and materials only to then discover after some use that it was a waste of both since there are more efficient and products give ways to accomplish the intent. Thanks.
Jason! This is an amazing idea! Instead of bringing all the veggies and fruit into the house with the dirt and possible bugs, you rinse everything outside so it's clean when it comes inside! Quick and easy build to...nothing fancy about it! I agree....every homestead that's producing it's own food should have one of these somewhere near the garden! Just subbed to you and look forward to more great ideas and videos! oh yah, i almost forgot...you can recycle the water used to clean the crops to water the ones yet to be harvested or for the animals to drink....amazing idea!!!
Thanks Jason, just what I needed! Great find for the price at a thrift store. I got a laundry room sink from someone FREE off a local neighborhood freebie listing. I want to hook it to the hose attachment on my well. I saw how to hook up a Y connector and it used the fittings you show, but now I see I don't need the Y connection just the fittings since everything else is pretty much already there. I also love how you made the tables with the hardware cloth. With wood being as expensive as it is I think that makes for a much better tabletop than plywood. Also good for drying the veggies. Whoo hoo, you rock!
This is brilliant, I am always a little guilty at how much clean water is lost down the drain when I wash my veges. This way it can go straight back in the garden👍👍
My husband just extended our well water with another faucet we can hook a wash station up to later...when we actually have veggies to wash 😁👍 I love watching you build. So inspiring. Followed you over from Justin's UA-cam.
Oh my goodness YES! Hubby gonna be building me one of these and I want it inside the fence at the back of my garden. I have a utility sink just sitting around waiting for this! Thank you for sharing :)
We need one of these! I just got a sink and garbage disposal (for grinding up food waste to go into the compost pile) and this set up would be perfect!
Ooh, I will be taking careful notes here (yay links!). I actually have an outdoor metal cabinet and double sink with drainboards (though I like your awesome mesh). I just don't have the water hooked up. I even have a hot and cold outlet, since it's sitting on the other side of my washer/dryer's wall. I totally need an outdoor setup to rinse off dirt and slugs, and trim veggies before they go inside. Thank you!!! I am not a plumber but I think I can do what you did there.
Hi Jason, your outdoor washing station is so usefull , easy to do, and well thinking, it would be a pity to havent got one in the garden . Every gardener must have one, 👍 good job ❤️💪🇫🇷
Am so glad Lumnah Acres on Facebook (also on UA-cam) told us about your channel today. Am borrowing this idea!! But we will install a male hose connection to a 5 gallon bucket so we can run a hose from it to the garden for the rinse water to water areas of the vegetable garden.
This build would work for the sink station I've been wanting @ my barn to wash horses feed buckets & such. Thanks for the hose/sink adapter info as well.
You can find step by step plans here: sowtheland.com/new-products-1/veggie-washing-station-w-sink-plans
Do you receive them by email?
Thank you Jason. We are going to build your table this spring. Can’t wait to share with you how it turns out. Blessings to you and your family.
My favorite part of your channel is the “Build Stuff”! Great job.
mine too =)
Hi...... Jason and Lorraine and Penelope nice to see you, thank you for sharing your video homestead chicken farmer garden 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋 🐔🐓🐥🌱🎥👍👍👍
That's something that all gardeners need!
Was planning on making something for washing veggies. 3 years in, still giving people ideas. 👍
Using the hardware cloth is brilliant. Why couldn't I think of that.

Thank you for teaching me how to build my own kitchen sink . 😁

I love the use of the galvanized wire for the veggie wash station. It makes so much sense. What a great idea! Thanks for sharing!
You are talented and smart. Keep up the good work. And you have a lovely family. Patty in Seattle
Thank you for sharing your build. Very cool and handy. Enjoy you new vegetable washing station.

That’s awesome! I have an old sink that I saved just for a project like that!
Same here! Been saving it for years to go with my High Tunnel I will putting up next spring!!! Just got some soil blockers this past week, too...

Jason aka master of simplicity. What a great idea. Going to make this myself, thanks Jason.
We need one of these! I just got a sink and garbage disposal (for grinding up food waste to go into the compost pile) and this set up would be perfect!
What a fun project! And I don't know what you did to the sound but all of the drilling and hammering sounds were almost cartoonish and it was so cool!
great idea. Save the water and water your garden with it!
I so need this. What a great idea. I don't like having to bring my dirty veggies in the house to wash. I end up with dirt everywhere
Absolutely I shared this with hubby 😁 thank you we were just talking about me needing one when he was off the road for home time
