Hi, I am Dr.Manuraj Moudgil, Welcome to Safarnama Exploring World!
Pinjore Gardens is also known as Yadavindra Gardens. It is situated in the city of Panchkula district, of Haryana state. Pinjore town is just near to Chandigarh (i.e, about 22 Km). This video is based on the History of Pinjore Garden as well as it reveals the Natural beauty of the garden. Pinjore Garden is built in the foothill of Himalayas. This Garden is based on the style of Shalimar Bagh, Srinagar. The Garden was built in 17th Century for Aurangzeb’s personal use for summer season. The King Jagat Prakash of Sirmur State, gave this Garden to the Maharaja of Patiala Amar Singh in 1775. In 19th Century Maharaja Yadavindra Singh of Patiala restored the Garden to its former Glory. That’s why this Garden is renamed as Yadavindra Garden Pinjore. There are seven terraces in the garden. The First and the highest terrace has main gate, built in Rajasthani Mughal style. The Garden is having Sheesh Mahal, Hawa Mahal and Rang Mahal in its Various terraces. The lowermost terrace has open air theatre which is designed as a disk like structure. Every year in December “The Pinjore Heritage Festival” is celebrated. Mango Mela is also celebrated every year in the month of July. Tourist from all over the world visit the Pinjore Garden Chandigarh to experience this Mughal Creation.

Finally, Pinjore Garden is one of the best places to visit when you are in Chandigarh. it has well maintained garden, fountains, and offers nice getaway. one can have lunch/ dinner on grass bed, have a small picnic as place is serene. added attraction for kids is horse ride & camel ride and toy train ride.
