Um, torn jeans? What, no Hard Rock Cafe t-shirt? Wow, what year is it. At least she brought up the fact that there were serious problems in the Polanski marriage, an aspect of the case hardly ever explored. I totally understand that this has NOTHING to do with the punishment of the animals responsible for the murders. It just really bugs me when Roman is portrayed as some sort of sympathetic or romantic figure. Bugliosi's book and others specifically mention that Sharon confided in several close friends that she had intentionally waited to tell Roman about her pregnancy until she was sure it was too late to get an abortion. Yeah, that's healthy. She knew Roman would insist on terminating. Roman's friends passed on his lovely comment, "I want a hippie not a housewife". Of course, all due respect to Sharon, and for the pain Roman no doubt felt after her murder, but it makes me sick when they try to portray him as something he's not. Polanski is a world class pig. Does anyone truly believe they would've remained together even another year? It's still a mystery to me why the Tate family TO THIS DAY defends Roman, or at the very least refrains from discussing obvious bullshit on his part. Again, this means nothing in the face of murder - just an attempt to keep it real, and the hope that had she lived, Sharon would've wised up and left his ass.
No, but it's possible to feel a "connection" to someone and feel as if one can "know" them. I have deep family roots in Italy and Boston's North End and while I never met my great-grand parents and one great uncle, I still "know" them.
Alisa was Debi Tate's long-time domestic partner and knew the Tate family, as well. She was helping Doris Tate write her autobiography, from which she took parts of this memoir.
@ChicknDip Why so suspect of both Brie and Alisa? All I hear from Debra is her conscripting Patti's stories as her own and all this bluster about being at the trial and being left alone with Manson where she gave him this "cold stare". What she fails to note that Paul Tate, Patti and Doris stated in their writing is that Paul sent them all back to Dallas, Texas after the murders. So not only wasn't Debra able to as an 16 year old "be alone with Manson" to stare him down, but she wasn't in the same state as the trials nor her own father. It should be noted that Debra is a vindictive witch. Having collected her father's ashes from the mortuary, she's yet to bury him with his wife, two daughters and grandson where he wanted to be buried. Instead she has his ashes in her home, the last I heard under the kitchen table. Talk about an unstable woman. Debra is not the official Tate family spokesperson either. Alisa is according to a letter in the records at the Board of Prison Terms and Pardons from Paul Tate himself. I really wish people would knock off both Brie and Alisa. They're fighting the good fight while Debra sells Sharon's belongings, allows models to put on her dresses and most of all grandstand in the press when she was disinherited by both her mother and father for her behaviour at using Sharon's name to continually get her "foot" in the door in the industry. One time posing nude for Oui magazine.
