Oh his stream when he moved in, After he mentioned asbestos my heart sunk.. My best friends grandpa died because of it and i get really bad vibes from his landlord, On that same stream I noticed how Tommy was taking everyone’s warnings as a joke!! Tubbo tried to warn him but he just kept saying “it will be fine” and I’m starting to worry
as far as I know I think he's got a new landlord, I think I'm not certain. Tommy for all his genius is still a little bit of a child and hasn't really been exposed to the cruelty of people....SBI and everyone else saw the landlord for who he was, but Tommy trusted the landlord had his best interests in mind. Tommy's never actually had his trust abused like that. The DSMP was a play that they put on for our and their entertainment, everything they did was them having fun telling a story they'd written.

It's also normal for a person renting a space and being super loud in said space to get notified by another tenant and/or a landlord that they're being too loud. Tommy is used to being (usually jokingly) told off by his mum for yelling and cursing while streaming and isn't as used to streaming somewhere where he has to deal with other less supportive people. There's a reason renting streamers like Wilbur have had office setups and/or rented with people he knew. It's better than a neighbor calling the cops.

That is very true, and asbestos is fine unless it’s provoked/activated ect.(Ex. Popcorn ceilings have asbestos but don’t cause any harm unless you don’t take proper precautions when-removing them) Since the walls are leaking water it could cause the asbestos to become actively dangerous.

There was a rumor going around that "one fiber could kill you" but in reality you really gotta be exposed to the stuff for it to be significant. Even then, asbestosis and mesothelioma have a 40-year latency period. The stuff is still horrible and shouldn't be taken lightly but its good to address it with some rationale

While this seems most likely, we need to take into account that Tommy might have mental health issues. This happens to a LOT of UA-camrs. He could possibly have Depression, or other mental health related problems.

Illnesses that affect THINKING often lead to the person not being able to logistically categorize their health as importance. They may make irrational decisions, without taking into account how it can negatively effect them!

From what people are saying it’s temporary. I think that’s it’s a different place from where he was originally moving and he’s waiting for the boiler problem to get fixed. That’s just what I’ve been reading from other comments.

He most likely has a contract keeping him there and he has said he was looking for somewhere better for more of a permanent solution. Plus housing has gotten awfully expensive lately.

Ok I think I need to clarify something. Esbestos is only dangerous if it is in the form of a powder, like dust. It can get into your lungs and start coating them but only if there's a lot of it. It takes years of exposure to get enough to be permantly harmful. If it's in the wall or ceiling it's usually fine, but the buildings codes have changed in the last several years so that it's not used anymore in new ones. Most places still have esbestos in them so Tommy should be just fine.

Just so everyone is aware. Asbestos is perfectly safe to be near as long as you don't disturb it.
It makes excellent insulation and is fire proof.
In areas with drastic temperature changes and high fire chance, with little seismic activity, it might be worth using.
As long as it's properly wrapped and sealed, and the fact it's there is taken into account when doing renovations.
