No it is in Tigringa. Tigringa is spoken in Eritrea and North Ethiopia. But Tigringa is a semitic language just like Arabic is but Tigringa precedes Arabic in terms who existed first. There is also a lot of similarity between Tigringa and Arabic. Hope this helps.

The Habesha ppl are a very large tribe of people who became divided by several languages (Tigre, Tigrinya, Amharic, Gurage, Hararri and maybe a couple lesser known languages) but all of these people are from the same Habesha tribe. Dossi was a linguist who worked for Italian Prime Minister Crispi who tried to conquer Ethiopia (& lost at Adowa, 1896, but retained Eritrea as an Italian colony).
