- Boney M was founded by German producer Frank Farian in 1975 and consisted of four originally Caribbean artists from England, Germany and the Netherlands: singers Marcia Barrett and Liz Mitchell, model Maizie Williams and Bobby Farrell. Boney M. is known for the mix of white and black music; the producer is white and the singers are black. In addition, many songs have a black (emancipatory) background. The group owes its name to the main character Napoleon 'Boney' Bonaparte from the Australian detective series Boney (1971-1972) of which the founder Farian was a big fan.

Jagdish, I have never had an Irish friend, with respect to your opinion, whom have thought that the IRA are good people. They have said the IRA are scum or b******s. The Irish whom wanted us in, should have formed the Good Friday agreement, which seems to be working.

They aren’t from Germany originally. Two are from Jamaica, one each fom Aruba, and Monserrat.
They met the German producer Farian and based their group out of Germany.
