@@rvboyettYou fail to realize that Mickey Loomis is the defacto owner of the Saints & Pelicans. He almost can’t be fired. He’s the only one with balls in the building, literally. If Loomis gets fired who the hell is in charge? Gail Benson, that’s who…
@@Samuelfish2k Yeah but there's Kai Harley who can be promoted and Gayle Benson is the Owner, she basically arranged the meeting with the players last week to determine what's wrong with the team and she seems like the one who is really concerned about what really happens in the locker room rather than an ignorant gum chewing who can even give a proper stats and ask everyone to "Look Beyond The Result" which is a crap opinion
@ This franchise starting going downhill the day Tom Benson passed away. He messed up screwing his kids and leaving it to Gayle. That’s why Sean Payton wanted out, because the new owner is clueless. I can’t really blame him.
Their real mistake was making him HC in the first place, I could see keeping him as the D coordinator but he was clueless with the offense in Oakland back in the day and things weren’t much different here.
DA always looked clueless at crunch time in games and, despite his acumen as a defensive coordinator, his defenses managed to choke up late leads or could rarely make a play on late drives to give the offense a chance to win...he trusted his defensive mind more than any OC in the building which is why the offense was boring. Were there a bunch of injuries? Absolutely, but what team doesn't deal with them? Your team should never be built in such a way that ONE injury on your O-line derails your entire season (McCoy) or the depth behind your starting WRs is worse than a D-3 college! Player/talent evaluation is definitely one of this dude's Achilles heels, the other being an uncanny ability to crush locker room cohesiveness. There's no one who could objectively say that, by the end of the Carolina game, any of these guys outside of Carr wanted anything to do with this coach!! The real issue here is that the shakeup can't end at DA's office- Loomis should be next on the chopping block because he must still be basking in the glow of that Lombardi trophy in the case with his mentality that one or two guys will make the difference or that you have to "look past the results" while his team is floundering! Ownership also needs a shakeup badly because if Mrs. Benson is going to continue an almost figurehead-like presence, then she needs to hire real football minds who operate in the current century because this franchise as a whole is stuck axles deep in almost two decades old mud!!
@@scorpiusbalthazar4327 They also have the worst cap situation for the next few years I believe. They really need to get the books right. It'll be painful, but not much choice there.
Given their cap situation, I can see them going the Lions route. Get a draft guy, hire a "CEO/Motiviator" coach, let him fill his staff, tear it down to the studs for any value, get the books right, build inside out starting at the lines, and live for a brighter day. The Lions weren't in as bad a cap situation at the Saints are, but the methodology is the same.
Underhill has a great piece about how the team gave up on Dense (the first time) mid LAST season, then again at end of season, then multiple times this season. Everybody saw this except Monkey Lupus.
I'm with you Rich. Clean house. Loomis is just collecting a paycheck and is responsible for the "old expensive team" mentioned here that left the Saints $89 mil against the cap going into next season.
The time out in the third quarter because they had 12 men on the field only to still have 12 on the field as they come out of the time out. The many bad time management decisions, everybody scratching their heads going into the half, this was long overdue. Good coordinator, but he's been in over his head as the head coach.
DA was not/is not a good head coach. Period. He makes some of the most boneheaded decisions I have ever seen. And I've watched and recorded every Saints game since 2000.
My team is the Raiders so ive seen a good amount of DA and DC. Allen is a bad coach and leader where Derek is a solid leader but once his confidence goes so does everything else. DC hasnt been the same since 2016-2017 when he broke that leg then the next season he broke a bone in his back.
@scorpiusbalthazar4327 You are correct, yet none of that means anything. Aaron Rodgers did his job for him in Green Bay, since he left he's been struggling to even make hay with Jerry Jones roster. He has zero fire, is not a team motivator or disciplinarian, just a coach who we all see just goes through the motions who could care less whether his team wins or loses as long as a team hires him after Green Bay and having Rodgers as his daddy. The last time you went to the playoffs you beat the Bucs then lost to the Niners.Your team is overrated undercoached and filled with premadonnas. I would not be surprised if his offensive and defensive coordinators and other coaches actually "coach" more than he does. Won't matter after this year anyway, he won't have a HC job anywhere after Dallas
If I was DC4 I want to get the heck out of New Orleans and go to the New York Jets if Aaron Rodgers retires plus Saints defense is a joke Mr Kubiak Playbook been awful after week 2 & Saints streams are soft and weird Saints fans are soft too✌
Mickey needs to go also. He’s a bigger problem than DA was
No way. Mickey Loomis was responsible for a 15yr. run of success. A couple bad years and you want to throw out the baby with the bath water? Relax.
I love Mickey. I’m very thankful for what he’s done. But I think you’re probably right. I think Loomis is gone after the season ends.

Take it easy..
headline should be why the saints didnt fire dennis allen sooner
As a saints fan I don’t trust Mickey with a rebuild

This issue with Saints. Is that they never truly rebuild after Payton left. The Saints just got older and cost more. Didn't win much with it.
The Saints are younger now. We have around the 15th oldest roster when we used to have one of the oldest.

That’s on Mickey. Zero planning ahead.
Kick him upstairs pls Gayle. We need a Brad Holmes type GM to nail this rebuild

He got fired for putting a health player on IR
WE'RE FINALLY FREEEE
Two players from the last two drafts played against Carolina.

Might

TWICE!

But Todd Bowles and Mike McCarthy still hold their positions.....

Bryce Young - Coach Killer
It will never happen but it would be ironic and somewhat humorous if Mike Evans lobbies Jason Licht to have Marshon Lattimore traded to the Bucs.
Why would that be ironic? They wouldn't fight anymore, how's that ironic?
Why hmm
Mickey Loomis is out of touch with the fans
cant wait to see the similar video when bears fire flus....please
Won’t matter in the least
Tom Pelissero is Italian
Bring in Bellicheck, keep Kubiac as coordinator
I wish I had Derek Carr's superpower of getting his bosses fired.
What bosses?
he doesn’t know what he is talking about
So, basically, he’s a shyte coach?
Derek Carr has fired as many coaches as Jerry Jones.
Brother, not even Mahomes could save Dennis Allen
Gruden got himself fired…
So did Del Rio with the stupid crap he was letting happen behind the scenes.

Im sure he'd love to go to plenty of places but which places would actually want him as. a starter
You acting like Carr is that guy that isn’t a part of the problem. He sucks too 😂
