    Or, you know, just adjust your metal-cutting saw to 45 degrees, and cut both pieces in like 15 seconds total.

    So many people on here talking about a chop saw on a 45° is so much easier. That's true. But when you don't have that luxury item, this is great to know. Let's see some other videos on how it's done with just a trisquare. I'd love to be educated. Nice job using geometry to get this done. Love it.

      You are sadly mistaken. If you watch closely his method fails and he jump cuts to him connecting the pip with 45 degree cuts on them.
      Look closely when he’s marking and cutting with the grinder.

      @@Joshb52 I'm not seeing the failure that you're talking about. Some coworkers and I have tried this method since first watching the video and it actually does work. This method actually does give you the miter angle needed to make a 90° angle on tubing

      THIS is the right comment... Seems like everyone who comments on this this guy's vids assumes he has access to thousands of dollars of high-end equipment and courses on advanced welding techniques. Not everyone in the world can afford a miter saw and an 8 thousand dollar welder, yet somehow the job still needs to get done. His videos are excellent for hobby welders.

    It's much easier than this lengthy procedure. You just mark a line with the same length as the diameter. Connect it to the opposite tip and then you will get a protected line with 45°. Cut it and enjoy!

  • @jamesnichols978
    @jamesnichols978 Рік тому +1

    Yeah, I think it would be easier. To just go mark it on a 45 and just cut it.
