You don’t go to Melbourne for the beaches though. Victoria as a state has some amazing beaches to explore but it’s the Southern Ocean so water is freezing. 5:04
I’m from Victoria and have never considered Brighton beach to be a favourite of mine, Port Phillip bay has many other nice beaches, you just have to be prepared to go out of your way a little bit to enjoy them
Are you doing the big lap? (15,000km drive). Fun fact the actual coastline circumference of Aust is aprox 70,000kms of such diverse landscape After just returning from a big trip to both the UK and Europe i must say we are much more appreciative of our relaxed lifestyle back home in Perth. Europe is so congested & overcrowded no matter where you go and especially if it is a popular as tourist area it gets literally swamped with people and so expensive i will never complain ever about the cost of a food and a coffee back home which is cheap compared to Europes prices. I just popped down to my local Hillary's beach early this morning and it dawned on me we do live in paradise
This time we do „just“ a roadtrip from Cairns to Adelaide and had a short stopover in Perth as well. We love the Aussie lifestyle, but Europe at the same time since we were born and grew up here. Europe especially is an fascinating mix of different cultures and all the history behind it. 🫶
@@dreamsbecomewings Yep we visisted so many huge cathedrals & palaces etc and even did the 14 day boat trip from Amsterdam to Budapest but most time we were train hopping on the Euro network. Probably the most crowded places were Venice & Paris & the Tower of London was crazy busy. Didn't get to Poland where you come from. My wife is English from Cornwall UK but she could never go back to live as so used to our Mediterranean climate & now hates the cold haha
It is spring. The highs are competing with the lows as things start to warm up. We are on 2 weeks out of winter. things will start to settle down later. Going to the beach in winter and you expect the best????
The rules about not leaving the trail are to protect the environment and it's inhabitants. Weather you see them or not, they are there and your wandering around in their habitat damages their home. So, keep to the paths.😮
Some German friends of mine did Perth to Monkey Mia... they thought it was the most epic road trip they'd ever done.... "We didn't see another car for hours!!!!!"
I (Igor) did the same trip back in 2015. It was funny to not see any other car for such a long time, but also scary at the same time. Especially when our gas tank dropped low. 😅

You are correct about Brighton beach, but you were misinformed if you had expectations it was about anything more than the bathing boxes.

There's also the great alpine road
Sounds interesting! Where is it?
@@dreamsbecomewings Its in Northern Victoria running from Wangaratta in the north to Bairnsdale in the east, passing through the Victorian Alps.
We will put it on our list for our next Australia adventure! Thank you! 🥰

Sara is from Poland and I (Igor) am from Croatia. You have to visit those beautiful countries once you are back on this side of the world. 🥰
Yes, as an Aussie, once you've been to Europe it teaches you to appreciate our wonderful country more, it's the best place on the planet.

The G.O.R. is the largest war memorial on earth. Built by returned soldiers to commemorate them and those who didn't return.

You dedicated a lot if time to criticising a little suburban beach which is only known as a good place to take selfies
That‘s all you take from a 25 min long mostly positive video?
