I personally like Hellmet a bit more as the unique aiming system makes it feel like you’re actually shooting a gun, and I don’t feel the story is confusing but that’s just me. I’m considering on making a hellmet-inspired tank PVE game so we will see what happens. Also, Hellmet updates are indefinitely suspended as apparently Sensei is tired of shooters and is working on his next game, Salt and Blade, so don’t expect the game to change anytime soon.
@ It would be similar to Hellmet’s level design where you linearly go through missions and can use points from completing missions to purchase upgrades, and the UI would be based on typewriters and documents similar to how hellmet uses windows 10 for its UI. A less similar aspects would be the gameplay itself would be unconventional- it would be a first person game where you’re the tank commander and tell the gunner and driver what to do rather than control the gun and driving yourself like in most tank games, which is kinda similar to how instead of looking through the soldier’s eyes, you look through their helmet cam instead. I’m still not sure if I’m making the game though, I haven’t had much luck figuring out scripting and have yet to seriously dabble in other aspects of studio.

A few criticism -The map design in HELLMET seriously needs some fixing, sometimes rooms feels out of place like a receptionist desk in a rooftop, a blast door in a hospital, and why do all the enemies just so happens to lock themselves inside small rooms and almost never hallways? Maps feels too artificial in general when compared to games like Ready or not or swat 4 -the multiplayer is a standard 5v5 CSGO shooter when theres a lot of potential for a siege like attackers vs defenders mode (similar to rainbow six siege)

I think your forgetting that the technology in the world is different AND that due to being in an active warzone some buildings like the hospital are repurposed. And also the grenades aren't the work of the guesians but rather of the emissary. The intervention perk does work, but it only tells you whether or not you're on the emissary's good or bad side. If you're doing well the emissary will spawn ammo packs, fabricators and health stations. If you suck at your job (how are you even in the fire team with this abysmal performance?) then the emissary will spawn more guards, trapped doors, civs with knives, guards with grenades, or (in my experience) send a dude with heavy armor and a pkm (he hurts a lot). Other than that the game is mostly rushed cause people kept pressuring sensei and making knock offs. Anyway have a nice day(s).
Like the 3 mission with that running bit is completely ass I swear they do so much more damage than normal enemies and also NO CHECKPOINTS so you also have to do the teleporter bit again
7:59 it works you gotta listen to the noise and judge what did the emissary do? you can guess what would emissary do on the stress bucket (Bottom left down screen) if stress bucket goes up (your in a firefight, teammate down, getting damaged, etc) if it goes up its good and when it got depleted and hear a noise, Emissary spawn something good (Health station, Ammo station, no armed hostiles, hostiles weaponary downgraded, etc) if stress bucket goes down (being too slow, etc) there's more but I forgot about most of it if it goes down its bad and when it got depleted and hear a noise, Emissary spawn something bad (Trapping doors aka door trap, hostile weaponary upgraded, Next hostage become a stabber, Undercover spawns basically a civ but he/she has a gun on it's back behave the same as regular hostiles, etc) Theres more since I can't remember most of it In the previous version the Intervention skill is busted as hell it will directly tell you the stuff I mentioned but it got a nerf so you gotta judge based on the stress bucket
I would like to reccomend that you get your information from the miraheze wiki of Hellmet and not the fandom as it has been absolutely griefed to dust and is not being maintained at all.
I don't think we got griefed. Mind telling us what happened? Though yeah, we only really maintain the weapons, gadgets, and skill pages. Some of the others do the map pages, but we're mostly just an unofficial skeleton crew.

8:27 the thing with the grenade is that, it deals damage based on line of sight. as long as you can see the grenade, you will get hit by it the moment it goes off. damage will also drop off over distance, but it's not like you can gain much distance in an enclosed space
Hi! I basically wrote the lore for this game, assisting sensei in a reason for the conflict and the emissery in general. Basically, the world of dummies Vs noobs is heavily implied to be a sci fi cyber world built by a outsider in a computer. The emissery is a normal dude in the computer, basically. He’s looking for a “special soldier” to do something with, and so he starts this war to find that special soldier. After hellmet, he starts dummies Vs noob’s events and finds stronghold 5-5. Not that complicated.

people often forget that quality determines the potential fun, not the guaranteed fun. low quality games will be little fun, as their quality limits the fun. high quality games **can** be a lot of fun, but the design is what determines how much fun the game is, capped by the quality.

I don’t see hellmet going too far and making it one of the most popular game since as you can tell Sensei is already having trouble making an interesting and unique level per mission. It’s pretty understandable why wants to work on another game as he was probably burnt out from making the latest mission. I’m pretty worried for the future missions. Womp womp get used to it.” Than the “difficult shooting system? Ok we’ll try improve it” the shooting system is what makes hellmet hellmet. Like csgo the weird shooting system is what makes csgo special. Like no big deal(a sub Rosa copy), chiapetdie literally says womp womp to the ppl who complains the shooting system is hard. Due to the lack of missions and cutscene the story will be abit lacking for now. And I don’t think sensei focuses too much on cutscenes cuz like if he did he would put the cutscenes separate from the missions like entry point, encouraging people to see it. I don’t think hellmet relies on its cutscenes as much as entry point. Overall, I think game reviews need to accept the “difficult shooting system? Womp womp get used to it” thing. you should review Multicrew Tank Combat 4, its got probably the most realistic explosions in roblox. Like war thunder in roblox but doesnt have a gizzilion p2w stuff.

Hellmet was great when the concept was completely new. Unfortunately, as you said, lack of updates and an unwillingness to work with others is hurting this game. Honestly, wasted opportunity on Sensei's part, this game could have been so much more if he actually worked on it instead of going on and making more games from the ground up. As a Hellmet Gamer I would Complain for Npc Run out to the doors and i holding a sledgehammer accidently killed the cilvian when i was trying to open the doors in Convergence exterme Solo run (it was very painful... but the cloaker one is not because all you need to do is Camp door 2 because it is the nearest door for them to come out if you stay around on door 2.)
ive never had that problem with grenades. im blaming the fact you have high ping and it could be a minecraft bedrock situation with the times youve encountered them. by that i mean, your clients moving and flying with the elytra, but the server doesnt know that so it thinks your not moving and just in the air. resulting in you falling to your doom. look up videos if your wondering what i mean.

Meter is sound depend on how high or low high means your good set and unknown will mark as non combat and low means your not in good set high chance unknown are combatant and non wikk surrender
It's a pretty indev game. Unpolished but the ideas are there and executed in my opinion, well. Yes it's rather drab, empty, forced, and low quality, but the core mechanics are present. Yeah the lore is weird and hard to find, yes the characters are rather weak story wise, but uh... I don't care. I want gameplay. World building takes a long time. Is the game great? No. Is it good? Debatable, the gameplay is really hit or miss. You're into it, or you're not. This game aint for everyone and it's not too forgiving. Is it bad? Debatable. The gameplay is set, the mechanics are set. Unpolished, but set. Objectively this game... kinda sucks. Compared to fully built polished games with active devs. Considering the circumstance it's a rather small, humble game that's... getting there.

im blaming the fact you have high ping and it could be a minecraft bedrock situation with the times youve encountered them. by that i mean, your clients moving and flying with the elytra, but the server doesnt know that so it thinks your not moving and just in the air. resulting in you falling to your doom. look up videos if your wondering what i mean.
I didnt even start watching and already will say. EARLY ACCESS HELLMET WAS FAR BETTER THAN WHAT WE GOT. WHAT WE GOT IS TRASH! I PLAYED IT ONE TIME AND STOPPED COMPLETELY!

I agree but disagree with what you've said. on one hand the game is still under cooked and the dev refuses to get anyone to help but the gameplay loop is fun and the dev also needs to make content for helmet as well as dummy's vs noobs.

Meter is sound depend on how high or low high means your good set and unknown will mark as non combat and low means your not in good set high chance unknown are combatant and non wikk surrender

It's a pretty indev game. Unpolished but the ideas are there and executed in my opinion, well.
Yes it's rather drab, empty, forced, and low quality, but the core mechanics are present. Yeah the lore is weird and hard to find, yes the characters are rather weak story wise, but uh... I don't care. I want gameplay. World building takes a long time.
Is the game great? No.
Is it good? Debatable, the gameplay is really hit or miss. You're into it, or you're not. This game aint for everyone and it's not too forgiving.
Is it bad? Debatable. The gameplay is set, the mechanics are set. Unpolished, but set.
Objectively this game... kinda sucks. Compared to fully built polished games with active devs. Considering the circumstance it's a rather small, humble game that's... getting there.
