It's terrible being broke in this world. That's where Kenya is. It's like we are in a grass thatched house that has started leaking and it's at night. Chaos. Each arm of government needs more money.....we are short of teachers, short of schools and associated infrastructure, short of courts of law, short of judges, short of police, Ruto needs CAS's, short of health professionals, short of agricultural professions, etc. Meanwhile, we spend over 2/3 of taxes collected to service debt but we still need houses, roads, dams, etc. It's really chaos. Muonee mKenya huruma.

      YES sir
Otiende should be here with immediate effect.
      Tafadhali Tafadhali Tafadhali
      Eric tupe raha.
Kenya is the SI UNIT of the sociopolitical system of eastern Africa u cannot afford to misplace justice haphazardly.
Otiende should be asked to spell it out from the legislative point of view.
      Keep Moving Forward

Why would an illegal matter (Housing Levy) remain legal until adjudged?

Why would Ruto respect the judiciary if the judiciary doesn’t respect itself??? The judiciary is now begging to talk to Ruto. Why would they be crying to speak to Ruto??? Their decision on the presidential petition sealed their fate. Yes, there’s rampant corruption in the judiciary. Who gives orders to bring down people’s houses/buildings paid for with loans, retirement benefits etc? I have no respect for the Kenyan judiciary. I agree with Ruto 100% in this case.

does the training of advocates/lawyers prepare them to withstand such prejudice and come up with a rational decision not influenced by such utterances by politicians aimed to torpedo right decision ? In the event such utterances affect the decision of advocates, are we therefore supposed to understand as general public that since they are human beings it is ok for them to be influenced by such utterances and we should therefore respect whatever decision they make?

True, Ruto, all leaders and all citizens need to respect judiciary.
Let me add that out of what ensued between executive and judiciary, my mind got thinking, is the judiciary perhaps only reactive on matters corruption within the institution? Judiciary advises that anyone complaining follow formal procedures, which is ok but has judiciary on its own prompted any action to cleanse itself without overrelying on reported incidences?
    1. We know how overwhelming judicial processes are. How many Kenyans have time and resources to garner evidence of corruption like Sonko did?
    2. JSC says it has removed judges, how come corruption in judiciary is rarely brought to public domain like the other arms? Either removal process are done under the radar or media does not cover them, why? Of course with the exception of Sonko’s complaint possibly because Sonko is a politician.
    3. If judiciary is clean is as clean as they want us ro believe, are they also not weaponising the decision on election?
    4. I disagree with him here that hiding corruption in judiciary helps investors. Investors know how to do their due diligence and already knew about the levels pf corruption even before Ruto’s outburst.

It’s all good to debate about this in media stations. But can we establish the impact of what the president said to the masses that he was addressing ? The majority that vote, how did they interpret what the president said?

Ruto does not need to respect judiciary where judges during hot Air ruling Ruto have already used judiciary he knows well in corruption judges

It is a constitutional requirement. He might have bribed them to have his way, but that is no excuse from running away from the fact that we have a 3-arm Govt and each arm must stick to its lane. Ruto should stop pretending that the constitution empowers the Executive to Lord over the Judiciary.
