Its fucking amazing how this guy is not more famous. If he would´ve lived in the States he would be at the top together with Weckl, Colaiuta and the rest
phenomenal. what an incredibly musical solo. i love the bass drum tone (the entire set sounds great for that matter), it really lingers in your head after watching this clip
@antibulletdodger101 Totally Agree ! he an amazing player , just discovered him myself and cannot believe how good he is , he is as far as Im Concerned TOP 10 Globally, check out that live vid of him playing with a trio in some open air Shell venue .. fuckkkkkkkkkkkk me .. Ive never seen anything like him , the solo is mind blowing ...
@xBadOmen That is not true at all! I think they are the greatest for that or any style, I have never played a more versatile kit ever and I owned damn near every brand there is (DW, Pearl, Yamaha, Ludwig, etc.) because I was constantly searching for a perfect kit and then I found Gretsch and I play a ton of different styles!
I like his technique but he doesn't seem to have much feel for jazz from this video. It was too strictly structured and his fills didn't seem jazzy at all.
he's so great, he definitely deserves to become part of the great drummers name

Damn, that bass drum sounds so melodic that at first I thought that there is a bass guitar mixed into it. :)
Great great stuff!! Love the sound too. High class!
Fantastic. Killer Drummer.
excellent!!!! very very super mega exellent!! great gergo :D
@escrofula1 its on the meinl extra dry line but not sure on the actuall name
@kraastopher true but i guess i was just always brought up learning jazz as simpler beats but still have a little room to let loose
@antibulletdodger101 Finally, he's been discovered. Now he's playing with Scott Kinsey, Matt Garrison, Hadrien Feraud, Scott Henderson etc.
cool!
God gergo can do it all! Another reason I'm proud to play gretsch!
@xBadOmen my Catalina ash is amazing for rock
Εκπληκτικός!!!
YEEEAHH!!!
name of the ride?
ОЧЕНЬ КРУТО
Shocking
@willstokes88 It's not a Catalina, it looks like a "real" Gretsch USA, maybe begining 80's, or 70's...

kinda reminds me of Jojo's playing with Depart
@SaludaUser is that a catalina ash gergo's playing there? i'm about to buy a jazz kit but can't make my mind up. gretsch catalina or sonor jungle??
You know what's weird? I've never heard his voice.
EZ IGEN JOL ÉRZED A RITMUST GRAT......
Not a Catalina... USA Customs.
azthiszem ha megkérdezné valaki tőlem, hogy mi a dinamika én azt felelném rá, hogy Borlai Gergő :)
you know what's weird... as soon as he switched drum companies, he gained weight xD
It's good but a little to complicated to be jazz
I like his technique but he doesn't seem to have much feel for jazz from this video. It was too strictly structured and his fills didn't seem jazzy at all.
If you need a jazz man call Bill Stewart. This is awesome but not jazz
your idea of "jazz" sounds limited, there isn't just one way of playing jazz, obviously........
Amazing, but I wouldn't call it Jazz
