I like using rubber /silicone hose as: 1: Makes for a waterproof connection. 2: Robust /Secure connection. 3: Tension applied to clamp allows use on scopes which are about the same OD, but are not. (Downside clamps, in that case use tape to build up OD of what you are attaching sub-assembly to.) 4: Protects camera from RECOIL... 5: If dropped /bumped keeps things from breaking, or getting out of alignment.
having read most comments about his chat to his child I think we can stop them now as he will have taken it in now and most likely be feeling quite shit about it we all cock up at some point
hi I must say what nice work you have done there.... I'm new to this but I got chickens and now I have rats so I'm looking to make my own night vision ..,,, what I would like to know is the red and yellow and red wires coming from the camera , can I strip the coating off the wires and wrap the iner red and yellow together and there outer wire from them both together , so I got the iner wires and outer wires .can I put the two inner wires to power then two outer wires to the neg ..then plug my screen in to them will they work as I seen lots of units with just one cable plug to power the unit up ,,,,, see told u I'm new to all this .... or maybe you could show me how to wire them all up plz yours jim
You are a genius when it comes to this stuff lol! NICE video man! Can you instead run that wireless receiver to a screen? I would love to be able to just chat with you, seems i can learn a lot... It also sucks for me i can't get those plumbing parts here in the us
how are the chinese E700 copies? anyone know? i'm looking for a cheap EJ230 or E700. is there really any difference other than the body shape of the EJ230 v E700?
Oh I have another question. Will a nv setup like this work on a gas piston air rifle (12lb. +)? Or would the recoil just make it impractical? Thank for any expertise you can offer. I'm new to this level of air gunning.
BlacktailShadow should be ok but check the join often to see if it moves airgun recoil is more harsh than centerfire in that it snaps fwds and backwards
hello, I have tried to mount a following your advice, I used a Chinese rearview camera, and when I plug in the tube, the image I see is small .not takes the whole screen (I have a monitor from 5 '' and I can not enlarge it .I tried to move more or less close to the viewfinder but nothing .I know if it depends on the video camera or from 'the optical viewfinder. can you give me some advice' ?? thank you very much in advance.
Giuseppe Manna do you know what lens you have a 12mm or 16mm is best to display the full screen it needs to be 3-4 inches from the scope just as your eye is for normal shooting
FGYT Shooting thanks for answering immediately. I have a simple riflescope 3-9x40, and the camera I used is a car reversing camera I believe with lente12 mm (but will check when I get back home). you refer to the size of the camera lens? again thank you for availability.
hia mate first cheers for replys you send to us all shooters . but im sorry dude i have one crirasizem because others are also doing the same mistake . jioning the coupler to the end cap??? size of end cap is 40mm , also you say SAME size 40mm copler . ??? how the hell can one cover the other ?? ANSWER is to get a 38mm to push into end cap , obvously 40mm to 40mm dosnt work, if a problem with a mm just put a piece of tape on PROBLEM SOLVED MY FRIEND hope this helps you.all best for exmas and new year billy
Scott Unsworth no the 40mm refers to the whole family of pipe fittings and in that size these are plumbing fittings all 40mm fittings are used on 40mm pipe so the coupler is big enough to fit 40mm pipe and the end stop is sized to fit into the coupler (you did see me push fit them together in the vid and the descriptions in the links) the only mix up would be the smaller series which is 32mm and all 32mm fittings work together but don't fit 40mm series without 32-40mm adaptor.... as pointed out many times all the parts are linked above and are correct (40mm is the old 1.5" generally used for bath waste pipe . 32mm is the old 1.25" generally used for sink waste pipe. ) this is relevant in the UK where I am and the links are to UK suppliers as of the date of the Video posting
hi again sorry to say im here again to critatize , what you missed out laso is you metioned the joysticj o n the rear of the camara, dont you think you should tell what it is for AND how to use it , im sure other shooters wouls appteicate this , if you really want to make viseos at least give THE CORRECT info, i think i,ll move on to PROPER vids
Scott Unsworth This is a run though on my set up Not a full detailed spec on each bit for set up I recommend Roland ua-cam.com/video/bU4lktH4el0/v-deo.html
soz if i offendd didnt mean to ive put my 40mm coupling to a 42mm jiont and used a little tape for good fit . roland is great but i think a bit overboard with all th torches etc on the gun , were going out to shoot a bunny not dazzle em to death with a cannon lol seriously yes he is bundle of info great guy i wish you and all shooters a happy new year, i luv keep in touch with you chat about our gun ideas ,, billy scott
The Googles are WIRELESS... in that there is no wire being connected DIRECTLY to the camera. The wire you are referring to connects the goggles to transceiver and battery pack, transceiver talking to the transceiver the camera is connected to over a WIRELESS CONNECTION. Pros: Decoupled from weapon. No "wire" between weapon and operator. Ability most likely to connect to other imaging devices, dvr /recording devices (Limited I'm sure, but doable) Cons: Extra complexity (Failure point) Extra batteries (Weight, Expense) to deal with. I would think forgoing wireless would reduce expense weight, greatly extend run-time. Downside googles being tethered to scope.
Thanks for sharing and writing links in description
Very nice setup, thanks for sharing.
Very, very informative. Excellent job.
The goggles must be very surreal! Like having a reticle superimposed into your eyesight!
Nice setup, nice rifle, nice scope, I here the Hawke Varmint SF is a good choice for NV :-)
you could use rubber hose and car radiator hose clamps on the coupler to the scope rear.
I like using rubber /silicone hose as:
1: Makes for a waterproof connection.
2: Robust /Secure connection.
3: Tension applied to clamp allows use on scopes which are about the same OD, but are not.
(Downside clamps, in that case use tape to build up OD of what you are attaching sub-assembly to.)
4: Protects camera from RECOIL...
5: If dropped /bumped keeps things from breaking, or getting out of alignment.
Fantastic look forward to kore bud
Thank you sir, much appreciated.
How about another video? I would like to know more about that rifle.
having read most comments about his chat to his child I think we can stop them now as he will have taken it in now and most likely be feeling quite shit about it we all cock up at some point
