Wow, the Samsung Galaxy A34 with the Dimensity 1080 processor is a true powerhouse! With ample RAM and internal storage, this phone can handle anything you throw at it. MediaTek really knocked it out of the park with this processor.
If a phone is hated coz of its materials and looks, it is ignoring the substance of the phone, which is it's performance, display, and cameras. And be thankful for the 4 Android OS updates and 5 yrs security patches the A series offers to its owners. Chinese phones have at par or better specs that focus on design and charging speed but fail in terms of software support.
One thing that I've noticed since Samsung changed their updates policy is the price hike in their budget segment and the A54 IMO has much more features and stuff but if you look at the Exynos 13 something processor that it has then I'd say IMO the A34 is the better option. The dimensity processor on the A34 can handle more than the A54 with Exynos and the benchmark scores doesn't lie. At the end of the day you have to ask yourself these few questions: what are you willing to spend, what options are available for your budget and which device gives you the best software and updates, performance, hardware and how much will exstras cost you like the 25W Samsung adapter. I also feel the same about the pricing of the A34 and A54, it really shouldn't be thát much but then again Samsung is just following the rest and expect the consumer to pay for the brand as well. If Xiaomi changes their update policy to something similar to Samsung's, then I'd go over to Xiaomi without questioning. Might I add that the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ is way better than the A54 and sits on the same price length but given Xiaomi's update policy and the time it takes them to release updates, the A54 will be the best choice. All these brands have their own qualities and weaknesses but all I'm saying is if you want to buy a new phone check your available options for your market and choose the one that gives you most value for your money, especially when it comes to software updates because tech is changing so fast and with the boom in AI/VR and AR you need a device that will keep you going for at least 4yrs.

There are definitely more benefits to this phone than the one I already have (iPhone XR) and I can’t wait to receive my new A34 over the weekend. @andrewdove342 it's great so far in all honesty bro, I like the change and the sick features along with the big display and colours, 💯 would recommend to anyone looking for a change without breaking bank and the only problem I had which I eventually adapted to was not having I message but WhatsApp solves that
IP ratings matter to some users not that the phone has to be submerged in water or buried in sand (cause these are never recommended even with the ip guarantee), but just for simple every day real life situations where the phone might be exposed to water like splashes in the bathroom, sink, drops of rain, etc or to dust exposure at going to work etc. It might be get accidentally submerged in water but that is an extreme case. So no need to be sarcastic about that sir.
He is not being sarcastic about it. He is stating the obvious. Instead of investing money on the IP rating on a budget smartphone that will turn around to increase its cost, why not take that same money and give us a punch hole design, HDR or better still improve the phone performance.
@@EmpireEra.. at 3:25 he said, "And I don't know how many people are putting their phone through buckets of water and taking it to the desert everyday.." To me that sounded sarcastic.
Good video, thanks. re the comment on IP67 ratings on budget phones: for a parent with a busy life and 3 young mischevious kids, it makes a lot of sense and is something I am looking for on my next phone, along with gorilla glass.
I won't complain why samsung decided to put ingress protection (IP rating) in their midrange. Yes we won't dunk it in the water because of reasons, but you wouldn't really know when your phone will accidentally get spilled on with liquids, or when you got drenched in the rain you can be assured the phone that you invested your hard earned cash won't break. I would not casually call it a useless feature on my device.

I would have bought the s21 fe but the non expandable storage and battery life made me chose the a34 as I wanted 256gb storage and I couldn't find a 256gb option which isn't 50k above so I went with a34 8gb 256gb for 28k
I'm stuck between the a34 and the a53 cause there are both 700 with a 60$ difference and I don't know if I should spend the extra 60 for the a53 or go with the a34 been watching diff reviews on both the phones and still can't come to a conclusion any suggestions?
Im gonna still get it i overall just need a boost on my device the one im using right now is the a30s its aging and slowly slowing down i cant play my favs games anymore cause it cant handle it anymore
What's more of a headache is the iphone coz it is WAY MORE EXPENSIVE than the Galaxy A series but has no charger in the box. I guess iphone don't even have lightning cables included in the box. And it's accessories cost WAY MORE than Samsung accessories.
Samsung says too much high speed charging deteriorates the battery but who actually cares about that in this price range? We probably keep the phone max of 3 years and batteries don't deteriorate that fast (unless samsung use cheap China batteries). No hdr on the A34 means 720p on Netflix, youtube and Disney +? 🤔😮😢
I have the A34 but I am very disappointed. The flash is awful, not even any use because is completely washes out all the photos. Bad at taking photos with less light, like a venue where people are singing, even if the light is reasonable, if they move slightly the photos are very blurred. In the whole, I wish I had bought another phone. Stay away! Too much money for something not worth it. Also if you exchange a number of SMS's with someone, it stops sending, then you have to delete all the messages and start again. how odd... I read so many reviews before buying it and still went to wrong. I don't play games, by the way, just phone calls, SMS's, photos and rarely videos and so on. The camera was the most important for me but it is disappointing.
I've been using my old A71 (Snapdragon 730) for three years and after all of the updates until android 13, the performance is still solid and there's no major lag whatsoever. If compared to this new chipset I believe it can handle very well for a mid range phone.
