Old Cairo really has some fancy buildings and marvelous architecture. They have good bones and can be restored to greatness. Pity they are all decaying from neglect and overcrowding. It would have been better for Sisi to spend 50 billion restoring large sections of them than wasting that money on sterile buildings in the new city in the desert.

⁠the only problem in egypt is overpopulation :( Overpopulation just pressures on the economy because the country spends a lot of money to make a lot of houses and shops so it pressures the country making poverty then poverty makes scamming and crimes yeah i know the overpopulation is because sudanese and libyan people come to egypt to escape from civil war and the airports are closed during civil war so they come to the best neighbouring country
