May Allen or as she became Mrs Joe Close, wife to a fine Gael, was a great teacher and a lovely lady. A fine and always fair adjudicator. I was the Fear a'Tí at many a Feis she adjudicated around Belfast. On several occasions May played the accordion when as a dancer with Anna McCoy, I was part of the team that appeared on Come Dancing. On another occasion May "lent" her son Thomas to McCoys for a St Patrick's Day TV show. Dancing is much the poorer for the loss of May and Miss McCoy. May they both rest in peace.
This is beautiful !!! Thank you !
