    I have a 2020 Pilot on which I began to notice the snapping/crackling noises just two months after purchase. I took it to the dealers who fixed it only to have it happen again after a few months. Like what this video is showing, the rear camera stopped functioning which is definitely a safety issue as I have gotten used to relying on it to check the back of the car. I took it in again last week. Here is what the dealer said to me. They replaced a connector which was provided by Honda and promised that this fix should be permanently good. The first time when I brought the car in for the issue, Honda didn't have the replacement connector piece and didn't quite know what to do, so it was like a "band-aid" but this time there is actually a new piece. I must say that I did receive very good service but the defect was very disappointing as we had never had any problems with our Honda cars till now.

    Honda has educated and told their dealers over the world to pretend “never heard it before”. Now they started to change certain connectors but it doesn’t seem to work. Honda must recall it!

    My brand new 2019 Honda Pilot purchased 5/1/19, also has a defective infotainment system and defective gauge cluster. The issue began with loud and noisy crackling sounds coming from the radio interrupting radio broadcasts, and Bluetooth phone calls. Both of the electronic screens go completely black, and turn off while the vehicle is being driven. Network Communication Error, and Radio Unavailable messages are constantly displayed, thus disabling, freezing, and crashing the radio, Bluetooth phone, rear view camera, navigation through apple CarPlay, remaining fuel, and all other electronic features. The gauge cluster panel located behind the steering wheel also crashes, leaving a black screen disabling the speedometer reading. My Pilot has been in the service shop 4 times and is still there with No FIX. I am currently filling out the lemon law paperwork to file a claim with NYS.

      I have the 2020 and have the same problems, I took it 3 times to the dealership and they won’t take it anymore cause they don’t know how to fix it!

      I’m the process now to do a lemon law on my 2019 Passport. This is the 4th time my car is in the shop and I’ve already got Honda involved. This is unreal!

    Same issue with my 19 Odyssey. AC went out before it even had 200 miles on it! 200!!!!! Then I kept getting the loading circle on infotainment screen, and nothing else. It has been in the shop 6 times since I purchased it in August 2018. My sliding doors won't close half the time when NOTHING is in the way and my final straw was when the door closed COMPLETELY on my 5 yr olds hand this past week!!! Trading it in and taking the hit. This was my 1st and last Honda!

    I'm having similar issues with my brand new 2020 Honda Pilot in New Jersey.... took to dealer today, they were unable to replicate the problems but did see system errors in the log. Didn't do anything. I have a call out to them to bring the car back...

    Im starting to hate my Honda Pilot too. Radio keeps on skipping and the dealership blames it on an unrelated charging cord

      They are full of BS ! I have a new Honda Pilot 2020. Been back 4 times. They are just giving us the run around. They already know what the problem is and are staling ! Big money to fix at their expense and big law suits are happening.

    I bought a 2020 Odyssey. And I have the same issues. The whole infotainment system freezes for hours. The issues started the very next day we bought the car. It distracting driving and it’s a major safety concern. Wondering why Honda isn’t fixing since it’s a known problem. Any one knows how to fix..? Is it fixable..?

    I live in Canada and my 2019 Honda PASSPORT Touring has the EXACT same issues happening as well. Driving with my 3.5 year old little girl with NO speendometer. UNREAL !!!
    I wish we had a class action happening !

      meme chose pour moi. Passport Touring 2019 acheté en novembre 2019. Les problèmes ont commencé en janvier et c'est pas réglé...Ils ont changer pleins de choses. il a bien été de mi-mai mais il a recommencé la semaine dernière.

    I have a 2019 Accord Hybrid that has shut down completely on longer trips ever since I bought it a year ago. I have taken it to the dealer twice and they cant fix it.

    We just bought a 2020 Odyssey EX-L. Ours does the exact same thing. We’ve already had it in the shop once and it was fine for 2 weeks and now it needs to go back again. When I went in the last time there was a 2020 Pilot in for the same issue.

    I got the same problem/issues with my 2018 EX Honda Odyssey..it happens to me several times while driving @ 70kph imagine that the electronic system shuts down at a high speed...imagine how dangerous and scary was that...I've been bringing my van several times on a dealership and they can't find the real root cause of the problem they change the battery even tho it's a brand new battery and they telling lots of allibys and later found that the problem was the fuse panel under the driver side and replace the whole assembly...since then i don't have any problem or bad experience after that..

    I am having these issues and I have t even had my car a month! This is horrible and I feels sick knowing I traded a perfectly great 2017 pilot that I had 0 issues with. I wanna cry!

      Hi Amanda. Did they ever get your issues fixed. My 2019 passport has been in the dealer for a total of about 3 months over 6 different attempts at repairing. It’s back in today with the crackling speakers. I had a perfectly good 300k miles ridgeline that I never had problems with. Yeah this sucks...

    I haven't had these specific connectivity issues in my 2019 Honda Accord Hybrid. However, the infotainment and HUD does frequently crash and experience slowness/laggyness. I believe it's the same system (it looks the same). Whatever processor they have in there is completely inadequate.. it has crashed on me like 15+ times in the 3 months i've owned it.. and then apple carplay completely stopped working recently; I use apple carplay and waze often to navigate to work because the garmin navigation doesn't recognize that the seattle viaduct is no longer there. Well, they first told me to contact Apple because there is no problem on their side, and then a week later (today) they tell me they did find a problem and need to replace the head-unit.

    They all have a engineering defect in the main wiring harness, grounds and fuse blocks. There is excessive ohms of resistance flowing through the wires. This results in a series of system failures. They have designed 4 different connectors , tape, zip ties etc.... and still have same issues at harness in dash behind cluster. Also, climate change is having significant impact on electronic failures. It was 118F yesterday here in the Valley of the Sun. Took temp readings with Snap-On Digital thermometer - my interior car temp here in Arizona was 165F. My seat belt buckle was 156F, the dash was 158F. My Google Pixel Phone shuts down from the excessive heat even when in my pocket, or leave in car one minute, phone powers off. Too much ambient temperature, too much resistance in the wiring harness, poor grounds and better wiring insulation is required for total solution to this issue. The rest are just Band- Aids .

    I have a 2019 Odyssey van, trip out of town this weekend, Appleplay working fine, suddenly no audio, nothing, can't do anything, lost GPS, backup camera music, everything. Had to travel over 6 hours with no radio. Disappointing, thankfully I had a passenger with me to help me. Our phones kept connecting to the bluetooth and we did not realize. Once the phone connected to the van we had no audio from the phone until we figured it out. VERY Unsafe.

      I disagree as a associate at the plant that builds the odysseys and pilot , we have actually stopped shipping cars until this problem can be resolved , going so far as to cancel production for several day , bringing in people to repair existing vehicles. Also it's not really a honda issue as much as a issuer with the manufacturer of the units themselves. I know honda is responsible for what they sell. But don't let this make you fill honda as a whole doesn't care. Because while I don't agree with all aspect of how they build the cars ,the one aspect they take very serious is quality.

      John Doe stop lying, Honda still haven’t solve the oil dilution problem in CR-V, this happened when the CR-V got a redesign in 2017, now it’s 2019, Honda still haven’t solve the problem, and they are still keep selling more 1.5T CR-V. How are we supposed to trust Honda at this point with even more problems arose in Pilot and Odyssey. I’m a 2019 Honda Pilot owner, and I feel the pain just like everyone else here that we have to deal with this defective infotainment system, my local dealer replaced the screen, it worked for a month, then the problem came back, I will go to the dealer once again, I think I’ve gone to the dealer more than 5 times already, and they still can’t fix the problem.

      I had my transmission fail at 45k. They didnt wanna fix it. It took me 4 times before they actually re did a new one

      Also have a Honda Pilot 2020 ! It is Ridiculous!! I Have to Keep taking it back, they say they have the “fix “ , then I drive off after waiting at the dealer and it happens again ! Totally disgusted with this Corporation ! Shame on you Honda !! Y’all have been knowing and having these problems since 2018 ! Don’t tell me there is No solution ! 😡

    Hello I have only had my brand new 2019 Pilot elite for less than 45 days n I have same issues. I just have my first pmt and it has been at the dealer for quite over 1 week n can’t find solution. Plus I also have to do my first oil change in less than 3,000 miles. This blows my mind....! I bought this truck thinking it will serve its purpose for me n my family as I already owned one before in 2013 but looks like I didn’t make a good choice ;(.... thing is I love my truck but have this issues... I mean it still has paper plates on it!!!!! 😡😡😡😤😤😭😭😥 I have contacted Honda directly, Honda link, and well everyone in dealer n nothing yet waiting on an engineer being sent to the dealership directly from Honda itself to figure it out... thing is they saw they haven’t seen this issue before 🧐🙄 plus I’m suppose to go on vacation soon to Cali driving my truck and so what now???

    My 2020 odyssey 25th anniversary has same static noise. This is the 4th time bringing it in for same issue that Honda techs are not being able to fix them now cruise control is not working probably either. Also we had some issues with rear doors not opening. I’m just tire not having someone to pick me up, not having my own vehicle 😡😡🥱🥱

    Honda doesn’t care about this,
    I have reported this as well along with video recording the issue. Unless it happen while Honda techs are looking it never happened and nothing will be done.

    My 2016 pilot infotainment system screen went black 5 times still playing music during my first ownership year in 2017. Since then it has not happened again. Didn't require dealership repair.

    My 2019 Honda Pilot infotainment screen froze when I was using the HDMI connection. I was streaming a show for my kids to watch from my phone, when all of a sudden the infotainment screen froze and the roof screen froze. I was about to call the Dealer, when I looked online for a fix. It asked me to pull the fuses to the infotainment system to do a hard reboot. I did ... and it worked. But obviously, I shouldn't have to do that.

    Thank you for this video. I have 2019 Honda Pilot Elite about 3 years and now it is 485,000 miles. The whole warning sign sytem are appear on dash board like a crazy. I bring my honda to dealer today they told me front camera is not working and replace it $180,000 !!!!! Can you give me a lawyer phone please?

    That what Honda Rockwall did to me. I purchased 2019 insight Touring Hybrid\EV. I was losing conscious while driving. Have to go emergency since I lost conscious on road. I complained. They asked me to come get exchanged. I sent car earlier for inspection so car was with them. Later when dealing, sales manager said we will take your car, give little money back and give you 2020 gas car. The price I agreed was 6000.00 more on paper which I signed not knowing they changed price. My faulty insight car didn't have even 2000 miles. I harmed my right arm in Hybrid\ EV car. Always felt disoriented while driving. They took away 8000.00 from Insight Hybrid Honda.
    Emergency hospital bill was 18000.00.
    I am senior and woman. They took advantage of it.

    HI there- i am currently live in NC. I have issue with my Honda Odyssey. I seen that you had filed case with american Honda with issues i am having currently. I have case with american Honda and everything reported with them static noises through out car hurting my kids ears ( all issues i am having) additional issue with my 2019 Odyssey started shutting down digital odometer while driving on high way i was driving about 75mph. ( shut down multiple times on 4 hr drive trip) Its totally unsafe and i have 3 little kids putting all this stress on all of them.
    Can you please respond to me maybe little heads up what can i do at this point?
    Local Honda dealer tried fixing 6 times- with no solution, Told me to go to american Honda- american Honda came back said we wont do nothing about it for you. Any one have any solutions?

    did the 2 software recall updates on my 2019 honda passport touring. infotainment STILL goes black. no rearview camera. stereo. nothing. same notice on the screen. NETWORK COMMUNICATION LOST. MOST net off. this is a CONNECTION AND WIRING issue honda !!!! a short somewhere. the WHOLE vehicle has to be re-wired. simple. that costs big money right honda??? its NOT a simple button push called a software update !!!!

    I have a 2018 Honda Pilot and the system fail To operate. The dealer asking me 3500$ To fix it because it passed the 60000km by 5000km. Even with the repair the problem Will probably contenue. The radio it self is crap.

      Yo también compré una Honda Pilot 2019 en concesionario con problemas similares. El mecánico automotriz (por internet) diagnosticó un daño en el sistema BCM. Personas que han visto mis videos dicen que es un daño eléctrico y el riesgo es que se incendie el carro. Estoy muy preocupada y viendo todo lo publicado por la gente me doy cuenta que es un problema recurrente para estos carros. Que decepción!

      Lyda Rodriguez te actualizo amiga son los conectores que al ser un cable similar al coaxial estos no tienen buen contacto y provocan múltiples fallos ala vez en este caso se cierran con algo pequeño como una aguja las patitas del conector hembra para que el otro conector entre mas ajustado y no quede con holgura en realidad es un arnés talves mal diseñado pero asta ahora podría ser la única solución espero te ayude

    I have similar problem since I reach 3000 miles. No Audio issue, Apple car play doesnt work, no speaker issue, black screen, and etc..I have 2019 Honda Touring. It sucks!

      Camilo Rey Pabito I have given up pilot now, my dealer replaced the screen once, the fix only worked for a month, then it reappeared a month later, this is exactly what I heard online from other owners”they replace the equally defective parts”. And now my dealers don’t even know what to do next, I am trying to hire a lawyer and write the Lemon law paper, I will never buy Honda again. You should probably the same, if you can’t do it yourself, then hire a lawyer, if you can, go ahead, just get rid of pilot.

      Camilo Rey Pabito don’t trust Honda, they are still selling the defective pilots and oil dilution CR-Vs, even though they knew this issue, 2019 pilot has been out a year now, the issue is still not resolved, and they still selling 2020 pilot which will have the same issue.

      @@RobboNJDad 2020 Pilot here in Maryland. Same issue. Pilot was in on Saturday, they stated they fixed, 20 mins after I picked up car, static and dead screen again. They did a hard reset and software update. Car was taken back at 0700 today. Not sure if they can do anything at this point. I will discuss a deal rewind later today. Told the advisor this is an ongoing issue all over the place. They stated they will call Honda, lol.
      Had the car for 3 weeks, 1600 miles.

    looks like a recall has been done in the U.S. and here in Canada as well for passport, odyssey and pilot owners !!! yay !!!!
