Given that Mel Kiper has been wrong way more than he’s been right over they years, his opinion means nothing to me

I always believed takes 2-3 years for Olineman to really be NFL ready(exception are RD1-2talent Oline), we have Trent for this year & after that Brock going to be running for his life if they can’t keep him upright.

49ers hate to draft Tackles for some reason and its annoying.
That’s not true they’ve spent their first pick on tackles a few times lately. People keep complaining we didn’t get a Olineman with the first pick, but there wasn’t anyone left at our draft spot that was worth taking at Oline. Same with 2nd round. It’s not SFs fault the guys worth taking that high were gone. Lynch has done an amazing job building this team, wouldn’t be surprised if we trade Deebo for an Olineman

Ricky is perfect for our offense and team culture. He can block, he can catch. Most importantly play the run game and block. I think that is why he was the best WR considering he was not going to be available by our next pick.

Watch.. all those teams with Draft Grade of A won't improve much because it's more than just the talents that you drafted. The coaching is important too.
I don't take anything Mel says without a hefty dose of cynicism, but he wasn't off with the Round 1 need. There was a monster Tackle available in Patrick Paul.

Draft a solid B simply bc 9ers not about the big name college guys... They always seem to hit on late round picks.. Hopefully the early picks will hit....

Pearshall is Deebo's replacement. Don't know why people don't see that. With Deebo's playstyle, he won't go through the whole season without getting hurt again and then Ricky will sub for him. At the end of the season Deebo will be on the market.
B- is fair. 3rd and 4th Rnd picks were definitely the highlights, which is sad to say. But I LOVED Mustapha pre-draft and Puni wasn't on my radar, but his film looks great. I'd have love to have seen 9ers go DeJean (fits perfect in Cover 3) and then Roman Wilson or Troy Franklin (both fit Shanahan's scheme, yes, I know Franklin dropped due to needing to improve his routes and body) in the 2nd Rnd, if they wanted to do a DB/WR duo for the first 2 picks.
I think OT woulda been tricky for the 1st round. But going DT with Newton at #31 I woulda loved. 9ers love their DL being 2-deep at each position to keep fresh pressure and they KINDA already are filled at DT. But I think Newton coulda easily beat out Givens and Elliot as the main non-starting DT.
If I were to re-draft it myself, I'd take DB Cooper DeJean at #31 and OT Caedan Wallace at #64. MAYBE DT Jordan Jefferson or DeWayne Carter instead of Puni in the 3rd Rnd, and maybe Troy Franklin if I was forced to take a WR on Day 2 (Luke McCaffrey woulda been neat, too lol). But I like Puni and think 2 OL that early would be fine for the 9ers. They could get a DT in the 6th or 7th Rnds in my re-draft. The 4th round skill position players were cool, low investment, high reward types whose roles will likely increase in 2025.
So my re-draft would look like this:

OT Caedan Wallace
OG Dominick Puni or DT Jordan Jefferson or DT DeWayne Carter or WR Troy Franklin
S Malik Mustapha
RB Isaac Guerendo
WR Jacob Cowing

@@49ersTV Thank you. I was up way too late looking at all the players who were available in those mid-late ranges, just to do a retroactive fan draft lol. Luckily I was already familiar and followed a couple, like Mustapha and Franklin.

Not one person or analyst has said this was a great draft for the niners.. not even good draft just decent at best draft.. we picked guys with potential high ceilings but as of rn very risky picks with high probability to not live up to high expectations at the NFL level. Almost all picks are a reach except maybe puni.. at best you can say these guys are gonna be good one day but everyone was in agreement there was better players on the board the first 3 rounds.
What I've learned about the 49ers is to trust them. They always pick head scratches that turn into all pros
I'm guessing Lynch is expecting 9ers drop to #32 and next year we'll get 1st pick on an OT.

TBD. I always feel like we draft wrong every year it seems but we keep staying relevant so. I’m like Chase and others have said. Don’t dislike players just not where we got them and feel like we missed out on a couple guys.
I believe both Deebo and Ayuk will be 49ers this coming season because despite the tough contract talk neither are running away from a team that's a legit Superbowl contender. Money can move the needle but glory is hard to come by. To me Ayuk doesn't lose money by staying with the 49ers because he's 1# target for Purdy by far. He's still going to get those looks so his stock will still be good after this season. I think Deebo on the other hand has to start considering his injury history and his production decline. For me leaving this season wouldn't be positive for him because he needs to show himself healthy before trying to get another contract. I think Jennings needs more targets and we are not parting ways from him because he's special but on a talent rich team. When roster cuts come, I think Gray and Bell are gone. Both have had extremely low production and a few big mistakes. Combined both have 20 targets so next to nothing. Pearsall and Cowing are replacing them not Deebo and Ayuk.
History will show this draft to be disasterous

People gonna put some respect on Renardo Greens name! The 49ers grabbed guys to add to the current talent. I know everyone wanted OLine! But there is no need to reach for a basic OLineman if you weren’t able to grab an actual higher rated guy! It good to just grab who you think is the best available talent wise. Ambry Thomas is weak as hell and now you can move some guys around and have depth on the back end In a pass happy league! You add another offensive weapon to the fold and then you grab the Big Back who runs a damn 4.33!
Now I wanna see what the Young TEs do this camp to see if theyve improved.

What made anyone think AD Mitchell would get drafted by Kyle when his knock continues to be lack of 100% effort at all times. I like him but Kyle ain’t got time for a guy he may have to motivate. I knew he wasn’t coming to the Bay soon as i heard that more than once.

Lets face it Mel Kipers word isnt the bible. Dude is wrong all the time. The Niners addressed the future of the WR. Deebo is gone after this year as his guaranteed money will be up. They are making sure Purdy will have weapons including Ayuik will be here long term. Draft heavy with the O Line again next year. They are putting speed all over the field with experienced college players that have played alot of football. Have to trust the process. Next year they will have to walk from several contracts so this is about building for years to come and making sure we dont fall off like other teams that have to completely blow their teams up in cap hell. Do i love all the picks. No. Just have to have faith in the staff they have a plan in place not only for this year but next year.
