@@Cptsuccess I used to think that Weiss’s brother was a bad guy like their dad who did abuse his family and his employees who are both human and Faunus for some money they have been mistreated by their boss’s cruelty in Altas because Whitey’s evil face, but he’s the same victim of his father’s mistreatment too just like his family.
In response to abuse, people have different reactions to it. Weiss' was fight (rebelling against her father's desires and designs) Winter's was flight (joining the military of Atlas and working under James Ironwood) Willow's was freeze (became an alcoholic and shut-in) And lastly, Whitley's was fawn (attempting to appease the piece of excrement who's only a father in DNA relation and nothing else). Clearly, the show actually acknowledges how Whitley turned out was only because of Jacques-ass, as we see with Willow's lines and subsequently the series shows that he isn't irredeemable. Just a kid from a broken home. Now if only the haters could see that.
People like Eren are why this fanbase gets laughed at by everybody lmao. He wasn’t a villain cause he was mean to Weiss. He had reasons. But nah.. he’s mean to our waifu thus we hate!. RWBY community is really just simps. I’m embarrassed to say I like this show around my friends lmao
Being left with Jacques as his only influence wasn't right. It's sad it took till now for the Schnee family, minus Jacques of course, to mend their relationship. But better now than never. fingers crossed Volume 9 gives Whitley and Willow more of a chance to step up.

It kinda ties back to his fairytale, the seven dwarves. He's always had this, you can see this when we see him talk to weiss during previous volumes. Each color represents the emotions he has at the moment. Not sure if it is but many consider it to be his semblance.
@@ijustexistnchill Yeah Klien is basically all seven dwarves wrapped up in one body through with his current attire he also looks like Dr. Watson from Sherlock Holmes
I'm sorry but Weiss didn't earn this. She did nothing but ignore and threaten and treat her brother like garbage even after her talk with her mom and only starts liking him after he does something that benefits her. It makes her come off as manipulative and completely shallow.
@Alex Luca I just don’t buy it. I’m a middle child with a younger brother and I can’t imagine treating him the way that Weiss and Winter treat Whitley. Neither of them acknowledged him as family or as a victim like they are and suddenly one hug solves everything and now suddenly she likes him? This feels like a checklist than an actual character driven plot line.
@@skeksilthechamberlain1479 First off, I get what you mean. I also have ayounger brother and I could never imagine to treat him this way, BUT don't forget what kind of parents they had... Willow who solved all her problems by drinking them away and Jacques the "do as I say or else" type. The Schneeblings were raised with neglect and disapproval. And that's that both Weiss and Winter learned as kids, so they kinda kept projecting it on one another (Winter to Weiss, Weiss to Whitley). Second, it's not that Weiss never liked Whitley, it's just that she could never connect the same way other sister and brothers do because of all things aforementioned above. Weiss and Winter, and pretty much everyone in the family except Papa Douchetache, love each other on a fundamental basis. They just couldn't show it properly because of all the damage Jacques brought upon the family. And of course u can see in the previous volumes how much both sisters have grown into accepting and loving individuals. So, yeah, that is all I have to say. I understand where you're coming from, but don't be quick to judge people. Especially emotionally hurt characters like the Schnee.
@@skeksilthechamberlain1479 Also, P.S. sometimes, a hug can speak a thousand things when words can't. And that's what these two needed most at the time. (Plus, chaos and mayhem and upcoming doom kinda speed up things like reconciliation, making amends etc)
To be fair, she was confronted by him saying he’s been in a similar position to her, but she chose to leave, something he couldn’t as the youngest. The whole family is dysfunctional and it’s all Jacques’s fault. And since they’re emotionally stunted (remember how Weiss was in V1 compared to now?) it takes a lot for them to truly express themselves. Once Whitley revealed his own troubles, Weiss (having learned to be more empathetic towards others who have struggles) started to consider his perspective and how her actions affected him. So for him to do something out of true generosity and not seeking approval, Weiss knows he’s gone through something similar and she needs to support him instead of shunning him like she did in Volume 4.
Another thing to consider as well, while Weiss did have an overall lonely childhood, at least she had Winter to look up to, Whitley on the other hand had no one, so naturally he'd cling to his father's words.
@@damienbastingsHe’s not totally wrong. Weiss didn’t earn any of this. Her brother did all the work to repair the relationship. Even after watching V9 I really can’t deny the truth of the meme anymore. Team rwby CANNOT ever admit their own wrongs.
@damienbastings No I don't. Weiss has either treated Whitley with BARELY restrained hatred or outright ignored his existence. She doesn't care about him and only show ANY trace of decency or respect when he's doing this FOR HER. That's not a loving relationship; it's a toxic one.

This wasn’t Jacque’s fault actually. Weiss pointed her sword at him like an hour ago in universe lol.
